2025 we will see the next big thing like COVID-19.... Sovereign debt crisis incoming..... March/April shit hits fan. Still unvaccinated 😊
i hate to sound rude, reading off a script is not for you, that was a painfull watch, please blink lol. maybe just have some notes and speak normally because you actually know what your talking about and it sounds a heck of a lot better like one of your podcasts. also im on the were fucked fence, im a hiab truck driver in auckland and doing around 5hrs a week lately
Because we weren't taught enough about money. Theres a lack of financial literacy country, and that is not a mistake! 😮
Keep running it straight cuz 👌 We all have the excuses but as soon as we walk past our favourite pie shop it’s an easy $20-$30 round. Oh and for some reason I keep walking past every week day😂 All good I’ll just tap the credit card.
Step 1 - bin the credit card for a debit card haha. Can't beat a steak and cheese though
@ Agree on both bro 👍🏽
The suggestion given to find solutions did not sound like actual solutions. It sounded more like saying, just accept how it is and conform with it. Real solutions change how things operate, not conform with it. You were right when you said NZ is tiny on a world scale. That's why we are seen as a very little pond with little fish, and the big waters and fish are the likes of America, Asia, Middle East and Europe, for example. That is why I suggest people should leave NZ to experience this first-hand. As I've mentioned before, I believe the solution is to help all from a young age to live life on their own terms. Not have a system that needs people to fit as cogs of its societal wheel. A world of sovereign, self determined, self-sufficient people is what the world needs. Not a world that grooms most to be cogs in the wheel, and suggests to keep trying to conform in order to overcome what's on offer.
That's good stuff, how are you doing that for people?
I feel like your looking at this from an economic perspective... I think the issue is more a collapse of culture and belief.
Idiots
Good chat 🚀🙏
And just like that, we've arrived into socialism. BY hook 🪝 or by crook 🪝...
Im 43 years old and this has been my cycle, get debt to get what I want then be fucked for how ever long it takes to get out of the debt rinse and repeat.... you videos have helped with the change of mindset. The credit card will be paid off at xmas, the only debt will be the mortgage, next year will be saving an emergency fund and only buying what I need when I have the cash to pay for it then and there.
Cant leverage debt like in the US either. No debt allowed in NZ 😢 Lame af.
Buy an ounce of silver a week. Easier to save, harder to spend and isn't getting constantly devalued by our govts printing of debt.
I am unfked thanks bro
If you you don't have... you don't spend it. Get it on a card... then the credit company owns you. It's a revelation when you realise you need shite...
Best thing about trading crypto is the base trade is usd. Profits in usd are then a forex trade.
Bro where do you offramp btc?
Zero government.
Why would someone stay in New Zealand in the long term? only because they can't earn enough by working because they are old or sick or onefficient. So they depend on social welfare as this is the only way of living their life. As for young skilled people, they leave because they are frustrated by the New Zealand system.
Great episode lads, keep it up!!!!!
Jehovah gave me a good job I have no bills I keep everything simple my brother yes and very happy yes I live in New Zealand
DET.
Look forward , nz is fked if it keeps looking back . We would have nothing if our ancesters had that mentality!
The reality of fractional reserve banking is that it’s essentially a legalised scam. We’ve been convinced that paper has value, while money is created out of thin air.
The kiwis fleeing for overseas will be back... Even if they're adamant they won't be ❤
Whats the point of this reel? Every man for himself? But dont buy a house? Sponsored by a Kiwisaver provider? You guys are shilling grifters, aren't you?
2 and a half decades of dumb economic policy, particularly around housing that has screwed up the living standards of NZers (and many other western countries) House values inflated by debt was fools gold and we all bought it. It’s sad to see where we’ve got to - but blaming migrants is a cop out.
I’m new here, what does this guy do for a job? Sounds like he knows his shit
Have my own accounting practice and work with clients regarding money every day. I don't know everything haha just sharing some lessons I have picked up. Cheers!
Excellent content. Would use useful in economic classes and I would use it but for the swearing in it which makes it unsuitable for many purposes. Can I encourage you to stop swearing as it adds nothing to the content but does limit the use of the same. Thanks.
The traditional system is such a scam
what traditional system? what scam?
My friend I'd rather you figure it out for yourself
@@jesseterry11 lol put the bong down
No it wouldn’t
Watch The great taking by david webb its sobering eliminating debt can be more important than we think
Stop buying Cafe coffees..........
I’m assuming this advice isn’t for people that already have a mortgage. Because you are better to be in debt with a mortgage, the house is going up in value and hedging inflation as well as every dollar that’s in your savings is getting eaten up by inflation, whereas if you have your money tied up in the mortgage and say use a revolving credit, the more inflation that happens actually causes your mortgage to be less of an amount to pay back. If you have a mortgage and aren’t returning more than your interest rate on the loan, in your savings account then you are going backwards.
It's more about consumer debt. Anyway, why not aim to be mortgage free faster. Game on
@@keepthechangenz Totally agree with consumer debt, especially credit cards at or above 20%. Yup definitely want to get the mortgage down as fast as possible, but never get rid of it completely. Harder to get money out of the bank the older you get.
@@thed1taumaruvegas got ya. Whats the retirement plan for you legend?
@@keepthechangenz Haha not quite sure yet. Got my fingers in a bit of everything, first home, crypto, sharsies, kiwisaver. A couple of rentals would be nice as a passive income, but to be honest, it works well for some and horror stories for others. Plus I think it’s harder for us than it was for the boomers.lol (all the rules around rentals etc) I think once my mortgage is payed further down I’ll allocate a portion of my income to dollar cost averaging into an index fund that pays dividends and then reinvest that into the fund every year and capitalise on the exponential growth over 30 years. Considering how crypto appeared in the last 10 years or so, imagine all the newer technology and opportunities that will appear to us in the next 30 years. I think it is harder for the younger generation to get into housing etc, but man do we have opportunities open to us that the older gen couldn’t dream of.
@@thed1taumaruvegas big time, how good is the internet! I recently read Martin Hawes 'cracking open the nest egg' it's a bloody good wake up call re tying all your wealth up in houses and not being able to access it.
The most evil statement ever: No one knows where the money went. NZ Media: ... NZ Business: ... I expected the former but the latter's silence is deafening. Most NZ: Its not what you, its who you know bro! Expats: Congrats NZ you finally got what you wanted. You played yourselves.
I've got a super-excellent credit rating. I won't borrow, as I cannot pay it back, as the job went away. Kinda stupid, but that credit rating is valuable for other things, e.g. renting a property, or, in some instances, getting a job. I have ready access to BNPL, but no way, sorry. I fix my own old shit, or go without,
Have you been asked for these when" ', e.g. renting a property, or, in some instances, getting a job'???
Act broke. No matter how much $$ you make. ACT. FUCKING. BROKE. Put yourself on a budget - wake up every day like you gotta scramble to pay your bills. This attitude was LIFE changing for me. Went from spending and eating out to being addicted to saving and reinvesting.
Good heat. Do you ever get conflicted that you can't then enjoy your cash?
@ i live a fairly boring life in that i don’t crave for many things any more, new car, fancy watch etc. i quit drinking in 2020, not that i was a huge drinker prior but that also limited wasteful spending going out.
@@randomfocus1549 funny hey - for some people, the more $$ you have, the wants decrease
You sir, are my spirit animal. Love the no nonsense message you're delivering!
You ever considered doing a talkback style radio show where people can ring in with their money questions like Dave Ramsey does? You’re basically giving the same advice with a kiwi angle. I think it’d be great to get wealth advice but applied to IRD and KiwiSaver. Debt snowball, the order of getting out of debt, buying a house, etc. I think it’d help people because there are challenges unique to the nz economy that people would benefit from you discussing.
Sometimes I do live Q&A on instagram. 250 podcasts with different guests too
Would also add to budget for investing. Spend less on depreciating assets and learn to buy real assets. The ultimate goal is to make money work for you
Nice one!
In the USA it’s illegal for the banks to do what they do here. They have 30yr fixed rate mortgages Banks are not alllwed to kill you like they do here, strangling nzers and taking money back to Australia where the bank home is. Why are we still subjected to interest rate instability when USA isn’t???
Have you heard of ANZ.
Great channel man, keep it up
Agree with everything except getting rid of my credit card. I pay it off straightaway whenever I make a purchase, and yes I do get "free" rewards. On top of that, I have other perks like travel insurance, airport lounge visits, cellphone coverage as part of my credit card. If you are sensible with credit cards they are absolutely worth it.
Are you sponsored by a credit card company haha! Nice one if it works well for you. People love this argument. I focussed on not needing a credit card to afford all of that. Helped me think way bigger and aim up.
@@keepthechangenz there is nothing for free, somebody pays and the money comes from somewhere, so all these clowns are making us other people pay for it
Anyone advocating for more tax has been brainwashed
Learn to save instead of blowing all your money. Simple as
That helps a lot haha
I never use my credit card but I need it for hotel bookings etc
Debit card
1st home $250k dreaming of that $500k, prices rise now your sitting on a $500k house but your dream home is now 1million.
How do you beat the F.I.F. rules? Tips, tricks, strategies?
I'm going to get hit next year by IRD.. will be interesting, and gut reaching. I'm on the wrong tax code .. I should be paying %30 tax.. I've alreay paid IRD 11.5 k in tax this year.. but no doubt I'll get hit with a bill of 3k or more.. That's okay, because I won't pay it back with my money, but the banks.
Perhaps check your MyIR vs the PAYE calculator to see you current short fall if you need to
@keepthechangenz thanks friend.. I checked this current tax year. I think I just met the threshold before they request %30 tax deductions..
At least the CGT would cover the landlord rebate then the money could go back into hospitals and schools
They literally promoted death cults for whites, and now bring nonwhites to replace under the pretence of low birth rates.
