EDIT: In hindsight for the steezy big spin tip, I should have said scoop in the a reverse capital G shape, as if you are starting in the middle of the G. Sorry for the frame drops in the first section, the map was running a bit heavy on the ol' system.
Some other tips, download the mod "Physical Animation Slider". While in game, click "DEL" on your keyboard, and slider will pop up on the top left. This allows you to tone down the "wobbly arms" and just the wonkyness of the experimental physical animation. I run it around .675. Another thing to keep in mind about your big spin...the side-pop and extra scoop sliders effect the way your style of big spins will look, because your using side pop. The double grinds stuff is def tricky. What I've been doing, is messing with the grind pop height, the in-air body rotation rate, and the in-air board orient speed sliders in combination with each other. Like Pigeon said, mess with the settings on the fly. My son keeps telling me to start making videos for Session and BMX Streets. I'm obsessed with both of these games and could contribute to the community.
@@nikoiavaihu3767 which mod? The physical animation slider or the no bail mod? They should be illusiory discord, but I back up all the mods, so I can re-upload. I'll look for the link when I get home later tonight and post it here if you still haven't found it
I think the weirdest thing about physical animation setting is the inability to push mongo you just bail almost right away. It's actually pretty funny considering how many skaters hate Mongo.
Actually the most annoying bug in the game for me. I understand the mongo hate when it comes to regular mongo, but it's legitimately useful for Fakie/Nollie tricks, and I switch mongo myself. But god forbid I do it in this stiff ass game.
@@notgavin7039 Ohhh leave us mongo pushers alone. We're just as good as everyone else. I never understood hate people give to mongo pushers...Like we ain't real skaters...gtfoh. lol
Rocketing/boning into manuals/grinds is one of those nuances I love about this game. Double grinds are still my kryptonite, so thanks for the tip on that. I'll def have to play around with my grind pop, I can't get noseslide to crook consistent for the life of me lol
Thanks for this video bro especially the manual stuff I thought I was the only one with that problem very useful tips this game is so complex but it’s so fun
@1:37 there is a mod slider for the physical animations to dial down the physical animations for those who like it but want it less "wiggly" @4:15 don't forget that rocket ollie is a slow flick, faster it'd be more dipped
Salads are when the note goes PASSED the obstacle, when you pull the nose away from the obstacle its a Suski. Kind of like Smith = Suski, Feeble=Salad. Also when Fakie, the nose is reversed, so a fakie nosegrind looks like a 5-0. A fakie 5-0 looks like a nose grind. Amazing video and lots of help though. I will be using these tips and practice on my own, with this video on my second monitor.
If you lower your feet to board distance and change your pitch it’ll help when flipping into manuals, and the pitch will make it to once you put the input in for the manual it’ll dip the board down/up. Helps with the higher manny pads as well. Different flips help with different obstacles and heights of obstacles.
Heyyy bro you can still do double grinds with high pop height… You have to completely let go of the grind input before popping to the next grind… try it with a noseslide to crook… get into the noseslide let go of the sticks then nollie into the crook…. This was a lightbulb moment for me when JL described it… also that was a suski grind (salads are in towards the ledge/rail) peace and love
Good stuff piegon alots of great info. Alot of stuff i talked about for years on twitch. The board scoop extra scoop stat can also help with getting different angled boned flips and rocket flips try it out
Nice insights into the game, you should make more trick tip videos like these. For example, how do you take most advantage of directional popping to a grind?
I picked this game up recently and I’m ngl this game PISSES me off but man when you hit tricks right and the right moves it makes all that time practising worth it haha, I can’t wait to see what my gameplay looks like a few weeks from now
lmao i always feel like i have to film manny's with a "see? i didn't touch!" keyframe that's low enough down to show the gap between the wheels and the ground at the lowest point in the front truck dipping
also, for anyone struggling with manny's out of straight ollies, you can control whether the ollie is rocketed or boned by the input speed (slow = rocketed, fast = boned)
The worst problem with manuals is that they have to hard lock the turn rate to prevent spin outs but that makes it so you can’t even turn while in manual. They basically for your manuals to have super tight trucks which is super annoying
The Manny mechanics in this game are so bad lmao. No going up a bank and going back down Fakie, half the time you can't even land in Manny without touching four wheels to the ground, they just feel so bad.
Thanks for tips on double grinds. Is there a way to keep your manual going up and back down a ramp/transition? I play right foot/left foot and you have to scoop a bit but it looks really janky. Same with manual reverts. Maybe it's just a matter of setting adjustments
With ollies its the speed of the front foot/stick flick . The slower the more rocketed the faster the more boned. Height just depends on if you get a full crouch or not.
The big spin took me ages to figure out. It's nice to have the options. But the rocket shov crucial. This game is hectic. Just when you think you know it all it will teach you that you don't know shit. Being a Skater it holds a special place in your heart.. I waited for a game like this. I was the one trying to skate realistic with the old Tony hawk back in 99 this is the best skate game there is in my opinion if you care about realism
Honestly, I have no issue with manuals. I think it's just really finnicky, and I treat it as one of the quirks that makes it weirdly similar to skating IRL
As strange as it may seem, I’m having a blast with EA Skate 1, while with Session, I spend my time complaining and losing my mind because of the trigger-based controls, which I find totally uncontrollable compared to Skate 1, where you steer with the joysticks. This makes it super comfortable, and you can pull off tricks with them, and it works! So, Session, why did you use the triggers?
The manny thing always p*sees me off! 180 into mannys, roll up bank manny to roll down fakie manny… Always said this & others would say it was user error but if the devs mentioned this then… 🤷♂️

Turn the pitch up to 18 makes getting into manuals easier.. Lip tricks are bad to have on all the time aswell..it will make you lock into shit you don't want to..if your grind alignment is to high..like if your trying to manual a skinny curb it will try push you into a grind.. Lowering the feet to board distance also just makes things like 360s and boned kickflips/heelflips so damn crunchy. MMM.
11:55 it's a Suski grind, salad grinds are in frontside, so it's the same trick but different name depend on fs or bs
was just about to comment this
You can do either Fs or Bs, suski is the nose pointing away from the obstacle and salad is toward the obstacle
This video is great man! Would love another one with anymore tips you have!
Flicking the ollie halfway up instead of all the way up will bone or rocket the board as well. I like it for mannys and 180s over obstacles

My personal trick for the many problem is reset the stick and then put the stick down again, just do it really fast
idk why session gets hate like it does. its buggy but i still have a great time every time i play
Salad would be tweaked over the curb, 5-0 is straight, Suski is outward (technically only bs)
