Great reaction. To answer some of your questions - the "marching" song is 'Meta Taro'. The Indian song is 'Shanti Shanti Shanti' ('METALIZM' is more middle eastern/maybe Egyptian). They are still dancing and charging around just as hard (they certainly did at Wembley). Shame you missed them - they were great. Same choreographer as always (Mikiko Mizuno - Mikikometal). It was Sabaton's tour postponed from last year - originally The Hu were going to support Sabaton but couldn't make the new dates - Sabaton invited BABYMETAL to join them as special guests instead, so yes Sabaton were /are the headliners. Where the Kami Band are depends on the stage - in Japan they have the big arenas and big stages (in this one the girls were on the centre stage the Kamis were at either side in front of the big screens) ... smaller venues and stages on the tour the Kami Band are right there with them. Kami Band of the East (yes BOH was still there) played the shows in January at Makuhari Messe, Kami Band of the West played the PIA shows on 1st and 2nd April (where this video was filmed) and are on the European tour with them now. Guitars Chris Kelly and CJ Masciantonio, bass Clint Tustin, drums Anthony Barone. The dark costumes were introduced at Legend S, December 2017, masks replaced the face paint (for East and West Kamis) at start of 2019 tour. They have new masks this year. I saw them do 'Headbanger' in Hammersmith in 2020 ... it was great. I really hope you can find a way to get your Moabanger reaction up (try a transparency filter like logo or something over the video?). Shame you missed Wembley, but they only played 7 songs. In November they are headlining - I missed your live stream, but I think I saw in the chat about needing to sit? I got seats - maybe you have to go to the Camden Roundhouse website (like I did) to get them?
@@DashyAndDadReacts You're welcome - I hope you can get tickets (if Camden isn't too much of a pain to get to - I haven't checked the route from south London yet).
They have two Kami-bands now "East" & "West". This time they are "West". If you search online, you will know who they are. The choreographer is "Mikiko" all the time. She was a stage director of Rio de Janeiro Olympic closing ceremony and is famous for the hand move.
@@DashyAndDadReacts And adding on a business side as for Kami band, it' could be easier, cheaper to handle and carry on shows in America and Europe if they're Western's. Western Kamis are all Americans. Besides, Japanese Kamis who are Boh, Hideki, etc haven't belonged to BM. They are originally from a session band and some of are studio musicians. I think the last two appearances of BM with Kami band in the UK (2020 and this year) are Western ones.
@@Senkyakubanrai The East Kamis (Hideki, BOH, Ohmura, and ISAO) performed all 10 Bukokan shows in 2021 and the two Makuhari Messe shows in January this year. I don't think we'll see Kamis without masks so long as non-Japanese musicians are Kamis. This is probably partly for the sake of appearances as Babymetal are known as a Japanese band and it would look weird to see four white guys behind them playing the instruments, but a more important reason for the masks may be to preserve the lore of the Kamis being Japanese spirits.
@@gaplauche Did I mention the times of Eastern Kami band's appearance in themselves? I said it is in the case of IN THE UK, and didn't say anything about the masks, I don't care though. I know about the Budokan show because I went there.
Just remember this is a music video not a concert video. In the concert videos the band gets a bit more attention but you are certainly correct that the band is more faceless now. Sabaton has a close relationship with Babymetal and I think they invited them on their tour and Babymetal had a chance for a nice warmup tour before their big headlining North America and UK/Europe tours.
Su smashed Bollywood metal with Shanti shanti shanti, had Sabaton dancing to her euro polka beat with Oh Majinai, and now she's got Arabian/Egyptian metal with Metalizm... this is my fave so far from the new album... This is like a darker sister of Shanti Shanti, love the way she does that yodeling thing with vocals, the choreo looks a lot like Shanti Shanti Shanti too.🤘🦊🤘
@DashyXD&DadReacts Have you checked out Shanti Shanti Shanti yet? If you haven't, please do but don't go for the official MV, it doesn't do choreography justice. 😁🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction. Regarding your understanding of the recent Sabaton tour, the order they played was, Leeds 14th April, London 15th, Cardiff 16th and Glasgow 18th. They only played this song at Leeds, they replaced it for the other shows. Headbanger was in their last tour in the UK, hopefully it will be back in November.
Was it Meta Taro? 🙂 the marching one. The one Dashy was mentioning was Shanti Shanti Shanti. The choreography does seem a bit less aggressive but they are touring a lot this year. Maybe they don't want to burn out too soon.
The Marching one you were talking about is "Meta Taro" Perhaps? The song that might sound similar in the Metal Galaxy album is "SHanti, Shanti, Shanti", that has more of a Bollywood vibe rather than Egiptyan! Meanwhile I would say that Metalizm has an middle eastern vibe :) For sure their live sound is usual heavier, but this is still the studio version dubbed over the Live Performance ;) For the actual live sound, we have to wait at least for a few months for the Wowow broadcast, of even few additional months for the Blu-Rays. So they added the Western Kami band in 2019 for the EU and US tour, and since they were about to start the EU tour supporting Sabaton, in this show they used the Western Kami. The January show were still the original Eastern Kami band, with Hideki, Boh, Ohmura, and Isao (sometimes Leda Cygnus plays instead of him). You can usually recognize Boh from the 6 string Bass, and Ohmura from the Pink glittery guitar! About the Sabaton/BM tour: in EU Sabaton is bigger than BM (expecially north Europe), so they were the headliner! But at the moment we are really disappointed that Joakim didn't join the girls on stage and perform "Oh! Majinai!" together :) About Headbanger: they performed it outside of Japan in 2019 at the LA Forum , and was performed quite a lot during the 2020 EU tour. It was played in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Helsinki, Eventim Apollo London, O2 Apollo Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow, Tillburg, Brussels, Berlin, Cologne, Vienna, Paris, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm. They also played it during the 2019 US tour :D Moabanger was performed in 2019 during Legend M in Nagoya - Japan, and it's often heavily blocked. To see it you usually have to put a transparent logo on top and/or play a bit with the video opacity. MetaliZumuZumuZumu is my favourite track of this album :D
Arabian psytrance metal! 🕺💃🤘 You hear "metarizumuzumuzumu" repeated a lot in two sections of the song where in the official lyrics the lines are represented each time by a single "METALIZM." The katakana pronunciation of METALIZM is メタリズム/Metarizumu. Metarizumuzumuzumu = メタリズム/Metarizumu (metal rhythm) + ズムズム/zumuzumu (thrumming (e.g., with excitement)).
I agree 100% about the band being hidden. It's a big mistake. I assume others have already said it but, they are coming back to England at the end of the year. As headliners
Many of the orgional Kami Band posted about it when they were actively on tour. They got the word from either Koba or what I believe more likely Amuze. To stop posting about Babymetal during the 2016 world tour. So they immediately stopped do8ng it. Secondly, the western Kami's are from the band Galtaic Empire which also wear masks. So they might feel more comfortable wearing them. However, it important to note that the Western Kami's did show themselves once & people had a cow. The problem I see is there are two very different auidences and fan bases in both Japan & everywhere else. Considering Japan is still their primary focus and what pays the bills. They need to keep those fans happy. Lastly The orgional Kami Band got busy with their own projects. Which made it difficult explaining things when they didn't show up. I also believe that the loss of Mikio Fujioka & loosing Yui & the s** storm that caused. Is naming them more cautious in how the band is promoted. I agree with you all here to a point. However, from a Japanese context and standpoint. It actually is probably best they remained massed. Given all the drama and nearly losing Su-Metal over the pandemic. I don't feel Amuze nor Koba are prepared to take anymore unnecessary risks.
Yeah, I think everyone likes the kamis without masks... fans do know who's playing though. January show was eastern kamis the later shows this year are the western kamis. Don't know why the change to masks, but masks would be easier to put on/off. They come back in November to the UK, check it out!
Famous Last Words - "One In The Chamber" is about A man, whose mother, Nancy, recently passed away. Overwhelmed with grief and hospital bills, he develops a drinking problem. One night he goes out after having too many drinks, and hits a man and his daughter, Eric. He ends up killing the man and leaving the girl to live the rest of her life without a father. Unable to deal with his guilt and grief, he takes his own life. such a good song
I agree, there is more focus on hands movements and not as much jumping. There's also less belting in the new songs with Su. At a guess, it's in part because they're older, and in part because they are doing longer tours and more shows. In Japan, they'll do a couple arena shows and then have weeks off. They have 20ish shows scheduled in 6 weeks here in the states. I have also noticed in the fan cams that some of the jumps in old songs are dialed back. They're doing a lot of shows, they have to pace themselves. BTW, they just announced a European tour towards the end of the year, they are coming back to the UK. Tickets will be on sale soon if not already Here in the US, I have seen Headbanger performed several times. I don't think you see it much because most of the videos are from Japan shows. With the exception of the Forum in LA and Wembley Arena, they play smaller venues and you don't get all the effects, and so you don't see them recorded as much.
Nice one, thanks! Yeah, no one likes those masks, but it is what it is. Actually, none of the kamis (eastern or western) has been ever credited or named individually on live shows. They can't even mention BABYMETAL on social media (probably contractually), except for BOH for some reason. So it's extremely cool when they put a kitsune up sometimes when they took pics for their sn during a non BABYMETAL related event. Without the masks it was easy to recognize them but when they got masked in 2019, fans found who they were because of their general appearance, their tattoos and the instruments they play (yes we are this crazy, haha...). Until next time! 🤘🦊
The dark robes and masks were added when the western Kami band was introduced. Near as we can tell, Koba decided that he didn't want it to be visible that it was different musicians. No-one likes the masks on the Kami, but we seem to be stuck with them, since they have new masks for this tour. It's completely random as to which reactions will pass and which won't. I've seen different reactors do the same video and some will get through and others won't.
Moabanga is from a dvd that was never released to the public, it was only ever sold to official fan club members so has always been harder to get past the algorithm, but the important thing is you got to see it, most of us have seen it many times, maybe you will just have to edit the hell out of it and try that, I know it sucks as you put in all the work to make the video. It is not Amuse or Koba that block the videos on YT but rather a third party that handle distribution for your region on their behalf, Koba has said he has no problems with reactions as long as they don't make Babymetal look bad, so no inappropriate deep fakes etc. some reactors during periods where the blocking was especially bad have dealt with Amuse directly to get them unblocked but I believe that was quite a process
So, I do agree with you that in these videos the Kami Band are not prominent at all and are almost hidden in the videos. To be honest however, I think that might have nothing to do with the Kami Band, and more to do with Babymetal kind of giving more attention to the girls, more than usual especially. The reason for the extra attention, is of course, because they have Momometal as an official new member. I might be totally off on this, but that is kind of my thinking. They're kind of promoting and highlighting the fact that they have a full trio again. Even before Momo was announced as the offical new member, they obviously knew she was going to be the new member, so it is my feeling that they wanted to highlight to the world that Babymetal has evolved, so they gave the girls even more attention than usual. That being said, I think in a few months time, the Kami Band will be back getting some of the spotlight again as they also deserve.
Yes i agree, i hate how they have disrespected the Kami band over recent years. Kobe obviously doesn't want people focusing on the band which is frustrating but the japanese kami band were just as big a part in the early days and deserve more respect.
Such a great song and amazing performance by the girls and the kami band, in my opinion this album is much much better than Metal Galaxy which had to many guest musicians, which they really don't need that many, I mean it's freaking BABYMETAL, but I do agree with dad they don't show the kami band anymore which sucks, because they are great musicians.
I forgot to mention that the Kami band switched to darker outfits and masks when they first introduced the Western Kamis back in 2019. Fans were still able to figure out who the western Kamis are:
Anthony Barone - drums (2019-present)
Chris Kelly - guitar (2019-present)

BTW, they just announced a European tour towards the end of the year, they are coming back to the UK. Tickets will be on sale soon if not already
Here in the US, I have seen Headbanger performed several times.

Thanks so much!🔥🙌🔥
The dark robes and masks were added when the western Kami band was introduced.

Thankies Chris
We can tell who they are by the guitars they use, but yes most of us want them to stop using the masks

Definitely 🔥🙌🔥
