    What is great about Babymetal, if any other artist this this, people would maybe say: no, no, this doesn't work, but when Babymetal do it, people will just say: ohh, yeah, that's just what they do. 🙂
    They actually have stated part of their goal is: do things only Babymetal can do, which is just an awesome idea.

    Good reaction, thanks!
    "METALIZM" is definitely the most "different" track off their new album. Previous to its release, some people said that they were going on "safe mode" on the firsts songs released as singles. You have reacted to some of them: "Divine Attack", "Monochrome", "Metal Kingdom" (and also to "Believing" and "Mirror Mirror"). So, this one is noway "safe".
    And it's kinda rare for so many reasons: the mix of psychedelic trance with metal, the use of that harmonic minor scale (Phrygian dominant) which gives the song its Middle Eastern flavor as you perfectly noticed, the lack of chorus, replaced by two guitar solos, etc. We can't deny that this one has a very imaginative composing.
    I was lucky enough to experience it live last May and I have to say that the song feels heavier and kicks ass. No to mention those solos by CJ Masciantonio which were so freaking amazing.
    Until next time!

      Along those lines... I recall seeing a group having only listened to a few songs from their new album saw that there was a song called "Metalizm", and said," with a title like that, it better be Fxxxkin' metal." Well, you have it! 🦊🦊🦊

    Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐
    Glad to see you're back with this track from the new album, it's been a while.
    Another song with that typical wtf effect they get us used to it.
    Queen SuMetal is narrating us a King's tale of the Metal Kingdom with this psytrance mixed with middle eastern, maybe Arabian or whatever sound that looks so cool with the unique blend of BM.
    This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One - Clear Night live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama, last April 2nd with the already new official member MomoMetal, she was one of the avengers since 2019 and coming from the same roots in Sakura Gakuin just like the girls. The Western Kami Band was performing there but this MV got album studio sound so there's no particular credits for the instruments only the composer and lyrics.
    Some fans at Sabaton's Europe Tour and later at Asian and Australian Tour were enjoying this song live, but not on the current Babyklok Tour around the US, either way everyone was having a blast with the new singles and classic BM songs in the setlist.
    Next suggestion to listen the brand new collab song with a guitar legend outside of latest album:
    - MERALI!! feat. Tom Morello official MV.
    Thanks for sharing your analysis on this and see you next time 🦊🤘🔥

    Great reaction. "METALIZMIZUMIZUMU" - great song. Middle Eastern/Egyptian/Arabian (or similar) trance metal at its best.🤘🦊🤘When they were releasing short snippets of the songs in advance of the album it was this song that intrigued me most. In the live performances CJ Masciantonio has been adding some nice embellishments to that first guitar solo.
    If they had anything half as good as BABYMETAL in Eurovision it might actually be worth watching.🤔

    Good reaction. Speaking of Eurovision, I think you haven't reacted to Babymetal's Eurobeat-inspired song DA DA DANCE. It features Tak Matsumoto, guitarist of one of Japan's biggest rock bands, B'z.

    Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Metalizm was premiered in the two-day shows on April 1/2 and I witnessed the both at the venue in Yokohama😍. Western (American) Kami Band did a great job in those shows and their actual plays were much better and heavier than the studio sound in this MV. [FYI : From the new album, BM performed "Maya" in Helsinki (May 19) and "Mirror Mirror" in Kupio (May 20) and "Monochrome" at both venues in the setlist played as a guest to Sabaton tour.]
    In an interview, Su referred to this song with Arabic flavor as "a new drawer of BABYMETAL" [source : magazine PMC vol. 27, page 41]. I viewed this choreo on stage by Su, Moa and Momometal as mixture of seriousness, playfulness, comicalness, therefore amazingness on top of Su's fantastic vocals and intricate guitar phrases and hefty drumming by West Kamis. The new drawer is a tribute to New BABYMETAL.
    You may have noticed the repetitive phrase "Zumu Zumu". It is interesting, because it reminds me of another phrase with tonal similarity "Muzu Muzu". When you feel itchy or tickling or a kind of slight frustration, Japanese people express it using this phrase "Muzu Muzu".

    To me as a non-musician it seemed like the guitar part was the non-verbal chorus

    Good Reaction! Guitar solos in metal music have a tendency to be mocked as a clichéd and overused part, but I think this song takes the guitar solo to a new level by incorporating it into the melody in a positive way. That may be the reason why some people say this is the best song on the new album.

    I call this song "Shanti Shanti Shanti, 2.0" (that's a song off their third album "Metal Galaxy") and, in my view, it is the best track off their last album, but you really haven't experienced BABYMETAL until you look into their earlier material. I noticed that the only BABYMETAL you've reacted to is five of the ten songs from their last album "The Other One"; in my opinion, that isn't a BABYMETAL album; it should have been a Suzuka Nakamoto solo album featuring Moa Kikuchi. It isn't a bad album but there's no kawaii metal on it, and kawaii metal is what BABYMETAL is all about. I suggest examining the TH-cam playlist "BABYMETAL Top Twenty" to give you a feel of what made BABYMETAL BABYMETAL. 🤘🦊🤘

      Agreed, I love The Other One, but exploratory, concept album. So… kinda Babymetal, but at same time not? Lol

    • @Filboid2000
      @Filboid2000 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Ganimal83 It only occurred to me recently that perhaps "The Other One" was an indulgence of Kobametal to Su-metal (and maybe Moametal), that this was a Su-metal idea because it clearly departs from the "traditional" BABYMETAL vibe and perhaps she wants to shake off that "cuteness". However, with the release of "Metali!!, it showed that they can move forward and still be kawaii. 🤘🦊🤘

    • @Ganimal83
      @Ganimal83 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Filboid2000 good point, and I like Metali’s direction. While I love their original early stuff, they style of cuteness will just be a bit awkward in their mid 20s now lol.

    • @Filboid2000
      @Filboid2000 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Ganimal83 Not necessarily - look up the definition of kawaii: it isn't actually restricted to just "cute". To me, the bottom line has always been that BABYMETAL made listening to metal fun and that aspect was definitely lacking on their last album; "Metali!! turned that around. 🤘🦊🤘
