- People gathered in the City of London at the Royal Exchange to hear the proclamation of the news that King Charles III is taking the throne.

No one can do pomp and circumstance like the British! It's a priviledge to be alive and watch this historic transition taking place. It may be archaeic in many ways, but there is something about the majestry and tradition in this uncertain world which comforting. I'm an American by the way.

We cannot forget that the Queen was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother as well as our beloved monarch. My deepest sympathy to her family and gratitude for her devoted service to our country.

These are sensational costumes. I love the long red robes with the brown fur that runs down the front from shoulders to ankles. Adding the big gold medallion was the cherry on the top. Also love the cute colourful dresses and black leotards the a small group of men are wearing. Fantastic.
