My whatsapp does not have these settings, yet somehow I have a background picture on my video calls and no way to remove it. No advanced settings, no little dot on the screen, no video call effects.😢😢 This is so obnoxious!

Use Phine Settings . Search for video call setting. Click onnit. You can then delete the background. It has a minus on the picture!

Hello, fellas! I know that if you searched for this video is to remove the background and effects from your selfies and video calls. WhatsApp has not put an option to remove it in the Settings. And if you removed the little camera icon and can't change it, don't worry.
Go to your device settings and go to where it says "Advance Features" and then select the "Video call effects" options, the rest is intuitive if you've gotten that far. I hope it helps.

It's not necessary, but if you want to change your background while you're on a call, just try scrolling up, and you will see your settings.

Go to Settings... then Apps... then scroll down to Video Call Effects... scroll to Storage... in Storage, clear cache and clear data. This will delete any pics you have stored there and refresh the app to factory. You will have to re-add your pictures.
I can change the background on my Galaxy S23+, but I do not see the option on my Galaxy S10. Is this just a feature with newer phones? The only option on the screen is for me to add another caller. I'd appreciate it if you could get this to work on my Galaxy S10.

Doesn't seem to work on older versions of Android. On mine (Android 12) it's in _settings --> advanced features --> video call effects._ Once enabled you'll see a floating button during video calls.

From the same menu where you chose the picture. Just set it to "none" (see 0:54).

I think it only works on S22.
nope, I have an S10+ and it works on it. It has to be updated to android 12 though (one UI 4)
