Nothing will ever compare to chainsaw chainsaw 😊
False advertising though. It wont cut chains for real😢
Lol😂😂 chainsaw chainsaw is the best chainsaw chainsaw.
@@RMM--uv7uk Long live Chainsaw chainsaw's Saw Chain saw chain.
😮 i think chainsaw chainsaw needs to be ported . Just so ya know your comparing chainsaw chainsaw to chainsaws 😅
This guy gets it....
Nice saw! Loved how the logs were stacking up when you were dropping them! Nice pile!
I love that you two have infinite strength!! Makes us all feel inadequate!! You guys could probably get by with a hatchet and a half swing in most situations!!
Brilliant, well done how you cut and explain things. Great saw! 😊
Another good video, your making me want to try a husqvarna top handle! I have experienced the glove getting stuck in the trigger quite a bit with my ms201 and ms150, I used to wear the blue front atlas gloves and as soon as they get some time on them they will start sticking in the trigger. I have started using the harbor fright performance work glove now and really like them for the money ($5.49) and no more trigger sticking!
I literally searched this yesterday and now you upload this. What a coincidence.
Jacob, this has got to be one of the sickest videos yet man. Good shit.
Thanks!
Great vids really enjoy watching you take these big trees down keep safe
My scabbards are made out of plywood, they work great
Right, can use plywood or plactic sheet to build simple scabbards that fit your saw better than generic scabbards.
Saw is rippin’! Nice build, Nick! 🤙
Nice saw ! Great tree work too !
Nice little ripper! 👍 A good advice, ask Madsens if they will give you good instruktions how to make a ”tune” on those saws. Will save you some headace on your travels. But I would recommend the Husqvarna 550xp mk2 as the next testsaw. A 50cc-ish saw that problaby will surprise you. Have a good one! Best wishes from Sweden. 🇸🇪
I love my 550xp Mk2. lovely lovely bit of kit.
550xp mk2 really is a perfect saw for all day use. I love mine
who exactly do you think a 50cc chainsaw will surprise?
@@jbbolts wasn’t he just surprised by a 39cc saw?
Yes he can test it against his 261🤪
Awesome video as always 👌🏽
Jacob even with the tree or bucket swaying ur notches are perfect!! How??? I just started working in a bucket and mine are most of the time are not!! Respect!
Nice! I'm still running my Poulan Super 25DA and 306A... Going strong!
That new saw looks and sounds great!
Be safe out there and I love all of your videos 🤘💪
Here in the uk the regulations state that we should only climb a tree if there is no way to use a bucket/ spider lift. That's unrealistic as most still climb since its cheaper but I agree its so much faster, safer and easier on the body using a bucket
More jobs done in a day and you feel better at night.
@@happycamper6352 100%
@@happycamper6352 "I beg to differ....I dont feel good unless I climb that day!
@@jbbolts Get some gray hairs on your head and chin and you might start preferring the bucket. Climbing will still be an important part of the job though, just nowhere near as often.
@@happycamper6352I got plenty no worries there I started last year at the ripe old age of 55! lol.... got inspired by the man himself bbr! 😁
Great video as always💙 with my 540 I measured the gap causing the side to side play in the throttle, and I machined a spacer to get rid of the play, i left a little tiny bit just so it cant bind up for any reason but it works great, and you cant tell i did anything to it💙 but i love my 540, the original 540 is good also but the mark 3 with the little higher cc is really nice. Its definitely my favorite top handle💙
"It still does it, but it was a unique situation." That's a double negative my man lol.
That saw was like a movie machine gun today. It never ran out of fuel.
the new saws are indeed surprisingly efficient... my 201 at least is compared to the 200T
Enjoyed the video. Nice saw.
The biggest advantage is the Husky is still being made, so they are much easier to come by. Seems like a greats saw once ported for sure.
Cool video. 😎👍
Best scabbard ive ever used was made out of wood and glued together. Also it does not dull the chain when putting it in or taking it out
Scabbard for the bucket I assume?
I've been running the ripsaw 2511t and 355t but have been having issues with the oilers, so I switched back to my 200t's. I just bought 2 of those huskys but now after watching this I have to send them off for some port work ASAP.
They give you the saw to find problems in real world use situations. It’s valuable information that you and others provide saw companies. Glove getting caught in trigger at full throttle is a big problem.
They give out these saws to a lot of pros almost a year before the release to try to find these problems. In Sweden that is
They want that free advertising
@@alexstromberg7696I've heard that Husqvarna is stingy and want their shit back from testers/'influencers' compared to Stihl who let people keep them or give them a fresh one when it's released (if they need the test saws back for review).
great stuff. you need a spider lift. had many buckets . 3rd gen climber. Got cmc 83 HD last year and haven't used my bucket sense.
Sounds Great !!
If I have a clear area below me I like to use a pole saw to drop branches quicker. Less moving around from branch to branch.
That can be dangerous from a bucket because the length causes a bit of torque and that can mess with balance. Not saying I've never done it, but probably shouldn't. Also, what do you do with it when you have something close? move the bucket away I guess. Not super dangerous, but probably not my first choice. I've only done it when I couldn't get the bucket close enough to where I wanted to cut. Our pole saw is the 131, so much heavier than the kombi pole saw attachment; maybe the kombi wouldn't be so difficult to use.
Armor Guys has some nice choices for cut resistant gloves. Very comfortable and have good dexterity with them.
Also, buddy, you can get a nice notch. Scabbard for your bucket truck for the saw for like, 250 bucks. We have, it's really nice.
Man by thanksgiving I wanna see that handlebar mustache ✊🏽
Dude! That saw eats! 💪
That new ported saw cuts like a light saber.
The basic and most important fear of saddle harnesses versus fall arrest harnesses is that you can flip out of the saddle when falling as nothing goes around your shoulders.
Get that MONKEY BEAVER harness!! Lol
Great video
Jr from madsens is the best! He's always been helpful, and super knowledgeable, he's always willing to help a guy out!
I like the work shirt. Keep'n it festive. Nice job.
Sorry all I have is an old flip phone.
That saw sounds better than my echo 2511t...I bought the old version of that saw and it was junk blew up first job had bad case ..but that saw sounds great ....wow
You could have Gordy make you a bucket scabbard out of wood or metal ..my buddy made his out of wood and some parts works great for big saws
Jake, I just ordered that same saw from red beard. I can't wait to get it that thing is eaten
That saw is screamin GIVE ME SOMETHINg TO EAT! Maples, firs anything will do!😎😁 looks quite impressing!
I'm not running out to go buy one, but when it's time for a new removal saw, it's good to know there's a powerhouse in current production
and hopefully doesnt crumble like a 201 when you look at it the wrong way
@@jbboltsI dropped mine from about 20 ft and besides the back cover flying two different directions everything Is running good. Be careful pulling up your saw with a new groundie.
@@Jamesvh122 I dropped mine 40 feet... all that happened was the shock absorber mounts came off front and back... coaxed one back into place and iirc I had to unscrew one of them ... still working to this day I fire it up every once in awhile.. Ive since acquired a 200T and a 201 ... the 200 is a tank it's fallen 20 feet or so and survived... on t he 201 the handle cracked when i swung ever so slightly back into it... the handle just crumbled... stihl knows how to make money its engineered to break there
I get the feeling Husqvarna had some terms attached to the free 540. The Stihl saws almost don't show up any more.
i also have a lowering rope and descender in a bag, clipped on the outside of the boom. Had to use it once while fully extended.
In case the bucket fails? Great idea tbh
A somewhat belated "Congrats!!!!" on passing the 1 million mark! Gotta be doing something right. 😉Hats off.
Question. When you climb, you use a lanyard and daggle the saw off it between cuts. Why not do this with the bucke & hang the saw over the side so as not to damage the bucket.
How safe is the bucket structure including the whole brace and connections? Make a video about it please
If the gap between the trigger and the handle is still the same size it will happen again with the same type of gloves on the excess material on gloves is getting stuck between the trigger and handle gap
I think it depends where you are, in the north east maples grow great, Norway's are the only ones we have issues with, unfortunately somewhat common. Cottonwoods as well, they really don't grow well around here.
That is some crazy Husky chainsaw. I love it. Maybe try a longer bar, it sounds like it has more power to give🙂
That thing f***kin rips@GuiltyofTreeson.....
Husqvarna makes some very good saws, but when it comes to Tophandle saws I dont know.. I would stick to my 200T, 201T (without M-Tronic). The T540i XP is a great battery saw but for the gas powered ones, Stihl all day 👍🏻 for small Jobs I also got an Echo CS 2511T which is great also.
But thats just my opinion on that, ever one has their favorite saws.
I reach for the T540i XP electric almost every time. Everything else in terms of top handles is usually a backup, and when I need something stronger, I just go to a rear handle. I have had better luck with Stihl for gas saws overall, even though Husq is still pretty decent.
Anything but a T540i is almost not even worth it anymore. The new MSA220T isn't even close.
The new T542i will be even better
theres a fall arrest attachment for that saddle. I have it. Great for climbing out of the bucket.
Petzl top croll
I’ve heard sooo many horror stories doing line clearance about husqy trimmys, they sound sooooooo good
right after i saw that video where your glove got stuck, it actually happen to me. I had a ryobi my glove was ripped and it also got caught on the trigger. They all need to use rubber covers really on the whole trigger.
Ohhhh interested to hear what Gordys building for the 592’s
I have both versions of 540xp mklll,
Both are 👍👍👌👌
Art positioner 2 with swivel is great.
Forester saw scabbard, the neon green color one. Under $100 and its not bad
Is the plastic brake handle easily replaced, or is it still built into a part of the case so it’s expensive and a pain?
The thing about the glove ordeal happen to me a few years ago. I was wearing the same kind of gloves doing volunteer work to clean up trees that have fallen across any of the 4 miles of trails. After a couple times when my glove stuck the trigger wide open I took the one glove off and put on a thin leather work glove with mesh back hand an velcro strap. To this day that's how I run my saws. Now back when this first happened. When I got back to the work garage at the end of the day I still had my gloves on an was ask many times why I was wearing 2 different gloves and what happened did you lose your glove. I explained what was going on and said to them if they wear the rubber gloves you might have the same problem. 5 people had saws out of 8 that day and they were all different. They laughed and said I didn't know what I was doing. I don't know how to run a chain saw. Funny thing is couple of them were telling me you can't run your bar upside down.
It is what it is. Be safe an congratulations with your company.
I bought the same headset you're wearing about a month ago, and I love it. I'm getting ready to buy a couple more for my ground, guys! Do you have any recommendations on foot ascending gear?
JK Boots
Which is worse after a cutting a top? A climbed stem swing or bucket swing?
#TubeSalad lmao we need a tube salad video in the bucket 😂😂
Reminds me of my old solo 637. 40cc muscle.
Some east coast slang for you:
Slash n’ dash (cut & leave)
Whack n’ stack (cut & pile)
Notch n’ watch or one time it (just drop it)
Buck n’ chuck (bucket beat down!!)
I love your journey!
Flop and walk

I’m personally very happy with my gas powered chainsaws as I have more power but the battery hedge trimmer is good as your not cutting big growth 😊

I was just thinking a good idea for a video would be a log flipping tutorial or something along those lines. I find it hard to judge the size of the piece I’m taking and depth of the notch for a decent flip but you seem to have it dialed in 👍👍👍

You mentioned previously about
Husqvarna doing an update on
their T540i XP from the issues
of the battery falling out.
Any updates? Thanks
Good one!
The chainsaw, chainsaw will not be beat
Blasted those trees out.
Climbing would have been a lot harder day for sure.
Love that saw.
This was a perfect scenario that August H demonstrated in his last video…solo speed lining.
Most people dont know there is a procedure to tune the saw. Top handle saws arent in the cut long enough to tune properly. There's a video on my channel of husqvarna guy showing the proper tuning procedure for auto tune saws. There is a noticable difference in idle and throttle response. You can even hear the saw tune change while in the cut in the video.
I don't know if it's the camera mic or something but it sounds good
Hi i like your videos very much i'm a tree and Industrial climber from Germany I'd just want to give you a hint on the harness difference its not about the swing but about where you hang if you hang at the back or front upper attachment point that a fall arrest harness provide you hang head up if you fall in the lower point like a bridge you will hang head down if you loose your consciencenes a fall will ever be a life threatening event you can upgrade the sequoia srt relatively cheap with a petzel top .
Thats enough smartass for today climb save and have a nice day
The SawHaul bucket truck scabbard is decent and priced well also , maybe get with Kenny Finley and carry them at Sappy
Just googled what "porting" was at 8:00.. Then at 8:45 you explain what porting means :D haha
Dude when i bought my bucket truck i thought the same thing about chainsaw scabbards . When i found out how much they are it blew me away.
Dang! One step short of a light saber! Nice!
August likes his 2511 ported, Id like to see those compared. Also compared to the electric husky
If that saw keeps reving that high out of the cut it’ll blow up in less than a year. Man that’s a screamer. In the wood it sounds like it’s pulling 10,000+ rpm but out of the wood and when you were limbing it sounded like 13,500 or more!
The 540xpt 37.7 cc vs stihl 200t 35.2cc the 2 extra cc is do to longer stroke weight really wouldn't change 8.6lbs
Stilh 200t 40mm bore 28mm stroke 3.8 ci
2.1hp 7.9 lbs
Husqvarna 540t xp
40mm bore 30mm stroke 2.3 ci 2.6 hp
The mark 1 and 2 were 37.7cc 8.6 lbs 2.4hp the mark 3 is 39cc 8.4 lbs and 2.6hp and 40mm bore 31.1mm stroke
@@bethanyhaskiell9116 you are correct didn't realize it was a mark 3 until towards the end
I’ve made several scabbards out of plywood. I usually get a couple years out of them.
Hey Jacob arborist from maine. I'm curious how much you spent on your bucket truck? Curious if you had to put much money into it on repairs when you got it ect? Let me know thanks
I see now why they make those chainsaw proof forearm protector sleeves, a perfect situation for them
That like the Husqvarna 562xp that is really good but it does start hard at times
Are you going to do a walk around / review of your bucket truck?
I second that motion. All in favor say "I."
Gosh darn it Jake. You're going to make me have to buy a bucket truck! This is going to cost me. 😆
@GuiltyofTreeson...... Is this Spam? Jake. I'm getting spammed. 😃
Do you run a higher octane/quality fuel with your ported saws, and is it needed?
I own 540 mark II and love it. Is it 14 inch bar in your video ? thx
How do you keep the oiler from going bad on the battery saw I've had it happen half a dozen times now
You have a video when you climb and use gas chainsaw? I’m new and I don’t think I’ll be claiming with spikes and trying to start a chainsaw at that height.
Good job
What was wrong with the 592 ? Just got one in December don’t like hearing there could be problems 😂
Keep up the good work. 👍👍
The Orange Reaper!!
Red beard saws hes the man. I'm telling you guys saws are great.
@GuiltyofTreeson...... What did I win jake
That husky rips man!
Jake how come you don't get with Courant do video on there harnesses there small like sequoia saddles.????
Seems like it needs a more aggressive chain to make use of all the power.
