You're not supposed to grind off the dowels in the switch housings, they are put there so the housings don't spin on the bar. Just drill 2 little holes lol

Paraphrased: "You can do anything. A human being made this thing with their brain, skin and bones - I can do this shit, too" Ye that's the spirit!

Gives us some more videos. How about one on your experience of working and going to school at the same time. How that is for you and some things that you deal with like how you manage to stay awake and not fall asleep after working all day

Hello, I took the aptitude test for the IBEW last year (2017) in November. The local is in San Diego. I was recently contacted for an interview (March 15, 2018). I don’t know my score but that’s besides the point.
Any advice for the interview? Also, I’m the type of person that can’t sit still. I always need some type of stimulation (exercise, read, music, anything) to feel at ease. Would you say this job is boring? That’s one of my concerns. Thank you!

There is boring times but they're is also very demanding points. If you need stimulation, they will FEED you work. Ask for it and they will like it on.

So far so good. I made foreman. Im getting the experience that I want. I've learned so much about the business side of the electrical industry. Alot on how to be a good foreman. How to run good and smooth, profitable jobs while keeping the crew happy and working hard everyday. I've had the opportunity to shadow veteran general foremans of all kinds. I've also had the opportunity to be with newer ones as well. Taking what works for me and applying it to my own. I've greatly increased my customer service as well by dealing with clients of all sorts. Another great thing that happened to me during the stay at home order was that one while one shop furloughed us other shops started calling me back. I finally had the option to chose where to go because I was being solicited without having to do anything. God is great. Life is good. I'm just blessed that all the hard work I've put in is finally speaking for it self. My wife and kids are very supportive and I have everything a father and husband can wish for. Hard work and perseverance pays off.

It actually helps me with everything. Completing a project feels good. Most construction workers tend to have a happier life because there is a sense of accomplishment.
As far as electrician specifically, yes. I can wire most things. I know what they do. For example, my car relays and switches. I know how circuits work and can make things work.
Electricity doesnt care the color or size of wire it's in. It works the same. A relay as a fancy switch, etc...
