Some lovely Cav Gav. I love how during the war they kept changing uniforms so regiments in the field were all over the place. I read somewhere front line units were 18months behind the changes lol
Very nice gav they look ace ,ive been off the brushes for a while came off my bike cycling dislocated my elbow ,its been a long road back i can tell you loads of stuff to paint and some new christmas arrivals ,plus my hms victory which ive been very slowly doing for ages
@gavinbooth any time 🙂 Model making and painting are a great way to relax, but you've certainly got a gift in the way you produce and finish the end product.
@gavinbooth lol don't i know it, but they're still fun 😁 My hands are too jiggered by arthritis for the intricate stuff, but i could specialise in battle damage lol
Cheers marra the paint is acrylic both AK 3rd generation and Vallejo model colours . The varnish is Newton and Winsor Galleria matt , the varnish is airbrushed if you brush it then a light coat as it can go satin in places (only sometimes) . VMS matt varnish is very good but it is flat matt and i mean flat so try it on a test piece first . Regards Gav.
AK dark sea blue (i add black when used as a base)AK medium blue , AK ocean blue, AK imperial blue , AK star blue all these i use in different combinations for napoleonics . But i inter change most colours and brands on a whim . Most colours can be changed to suit it takes a bit of practice . Regards Gav.
