Enchanted Bow would have been great in your Rita build if you didn't have that hand slot being taken up. Base 5+1 attack for 2 damage. Pete another +1. Maybe a track shoes +1. Fighting at 7 for 2 damage. Then second action evade to either hit a 3rd damage or move away and next turn use the 1 distance away to attack for 2. Really good way to manage 3/4 health enemies
Rita is incredibly powerful yet very misunderstood. She's one of the best fighters in the game. Yes, she's a fighter. She can be tooled up to kill enemies when absolutely required, but she primarily fights by keeping enemies busy/pinned down. Her 5 evade and her ability means she could start a scenario with no resources and no cards in hand and yet still be ready to keep enemies busy on turn one.
Did you do or plan a side story in Dream Eaters with Skids O'Drool? (Unfortunately, Agnes Barker is not available, would have to go with Jacqueline Canine.)
Winnifred with Chuck Fergus was pretty fun. Her succeed by two stuff with pilfer and backstab and all those that go back to your hand if you win by enough.
Parallel Agnes is pretty strong, especially with upgraded Hallowed Mirror to heal her ability cost. My friend played her in Return to the Circle Undone, whilst I stole some of her damage with Solemn Vow as Calvin Wright.
I always thought you guys underestimated Rita, and that's probably because she shines more in solo or low player count and you didn't deckbuild her properly. Glad to see you are reevaluating her. Consider also that she's one of the only 2 investigators that can pull the powerful Ace in the Hole + Will to Survive combo, but unlike the other one Rita isn't burdened by preposterous limitations.
I don't understand the appeal of parallel Skids. His gambling ability doesn't help the group much and doesn't scale with any of your stat boosts, making it less useful in harder difficulties. I haven't played him, so maybe I missing something. If anyone's got better insight, let me know.
@@PlayingBoardGames In Winnifred you only have to commit 1 card from your hand to draw 1 instead of 2. In some other janky builds it exists to mill your deck. In other rogues I'd agree but I feel it is a staple in Winnifred!
I'd rather ensure that I get full value from my skills, so if I use a Daredevil and get a Momentum out of it at the wrong time, my Momentum is wasted and I'd much rather use that for removing any Frozen in Fear like treacheries. I agree that the card would do well in Winifred, but it's not my preference for my playstyle.
As a longtime Rita fan, this warmed my heart. She always struck me as an investigator with lots of potential once enough support was printed.
I think this will remain one of the most surprising videos throughout 2022 :D

this video makes me remember once more that you guys forgot cryptic research in your Joe expanded guide.

Any chance to see how the lvl 0 decks look like? Especially for the Betrayal investigators? :)

Reevaluation is key to getting better at all games. It's partly why I am focused on finishing this resolution of trying all investigators again.

Rita benefitted quite a bit from the Winnie starter deck, I think. Playing her on my blind TCU run when it first came out was difficult.
I agree with this. And the addition of Sweeping Kick (or whatever it is) added a great kill spell to her kit.
Did you finish edge of the earth? did i miss last scenario?
We have not finished it yet.
Where's the daredevil in Winnifred?
Not a fan of the card.

Until you can build Rita without Hoods, she stays far out of A-tier :P
This, I agree.
Again.. what year is now? xD
20202.
