Lenny is one of the original lead singers for Alan Parsons Project. Truly a great singer, that made a major difference with every song he sang, and still sings. Without this man, "I Wouldn't Want To Be Like You", and several other songs he sang, wouldn't pack the punch they have, and still do. Lenny needs to be back in Alan Parsons Project, and tour U.S.A!
Strangely there are at least 2 other songs from this exact appearance where it's him 100% performing live, Games People Play for instance. It's like who ever made this video played the song over it or they weirdly chose to LIP SYNC it that night , what the hell
I've been listening to the Alan Parsons Project since Turn of a Friendly Card in 1980. 42 years. My brother had the album, and I loved it so much I kept stealing it from him to play it! Finally, he gave up and gave it to me so I'd stop stealing it, lol! Still have the album, I just need to get a new turntable. Lenny's voice has always been mesmerizing to me. Such an awesome singer! Games People Play used to blare on the radio , and whenever I heard it I would crank it! That song appeared on several different mix tapes I made as a kid. I went nuts when TAPP was selected to do the soundtrack to Ladyhawke. Great movie, bitchin' soundtrack! I miss Rutger Hauer.
So that's what he looks like. With the Alan Parsons Project, I almost never know what their vocalists look like. Not that I care, it's just nice to be able to put a face to a name. :)

He probably did not know the song well enough to sing it live. The other two were "hits", and he probably learned them better for a possible live performance.

TV host just mean to remark the artist was there for real doing that playback "performance". But Zakatek was the real vocalist of that song and others. Alan Parsons Project used several vocalists and composers.
