Kind of felt everyone was ragging on the guy even though he seemed like a decent person. And the way framed it as him being secretly gay even though it seemed like he and his ex had an amicable split.

He didn't fake a disease. On the contrary, he was willing to go through conversion therapy with electro shocks in order to get married, which had side effects due to a congenital illness that got triggered.

He had a congenital disorder that was triggered by the electro-convulsive therapy that Teddy went through as part of his conversion therapy. Basically, Teddy tried to make himself Not Gay and it almost killed him. The fiancé left him at the end because she thinks that Teddy and the roommate/ex-boyfriend still love each other despite Teddy insisting that he doesn't and isn't going to go back to him.
ECT is nasty stuff. It's conducted a lot more humanely now but still basically a step above a lobotomy. You can lose a whole chunk of your memories which can sometimes be permanent, and even acquire learning difficulties.

I felt so sorry for the fiancé. He used her as a prop for what he imagined to be his perfect life. I also felt his ex was really insensitive to her. I get the jealousy aspect, but at least he knew what the truth of what was going on (the lies, not the disease) whereas she was being deceived.
She wasn't being deceived, he willing underwent therapy to get better. Get over yourself..
@@shelldie8523 Yes, she was. He went through conversion therapy to try and make himself straight, but at the end of the day since sexual orientation can't be changed, he was ultimately just lying to her and himself to pretend to be something he wasn't.

That a team of 5 specialists would have a case conference and then send out two teams of its members to break into other people's homes to gather diagnostic information. Then to see ceiling tiles and conclude asbestosis that wouldn't happen that early in someone's life unless the alleged asbestos had been ground up into a powder and snorted.
Some pretty cast members, and some funny one liners, but the whole premise of this series is ridiculous.
Medically it's a ridiculous show. If this were reality then house would have lost his license and spent a lot of time in prison. This is very entertaining though. 👍

She lets him go because she found out that he was gay,realizes that this happened out of peer pressure and it's wrong to force him into this marriage that everyone else in that church wants except him. He only says he wants to marry because he thinks that his family is the only ones who will love and doesn't want to lose them because of how much they gaslit him. Abusive situations are complicated and aren't easy to get out of

I think ultimately the lack of honesty is why the bride left. The guy can't be honestly about his feelings even if the assessment is wrong.

The shows went for 60 minutes but they had to condense them to under 10 minutes by taking out unnecessary and repetitive content because the old TVs couldn’t hold anything over 10 minutes. The mondo Houser shows are very short always less than 10 minutes because of the primitive mondo TVs they had back then.
