I really love birds and wildlife. I would love to improve on those wispy feathers and the delicate areas of birds. Light direction and also branches. Layering colours also 😀 xx
Your technique is awesome, and you're a great teacher. I'm impressed with the results and your lessons encourage me to try the coloured pencils. I've been trying to paint with watercolour and I like it, but feathers are really difficult to draw with water. Many thanks for all your lessons!
Thanks for this awesome tutorial. Can't wait to give it a try. I'm very new to this medium and I'm wondering how you go about if you only have a limited palette? How do you build up the layers then? For example, I only have one grey which is a medium grey.
Hi I know this is a old comment. But if your still doesn’t have that many colours. You can just press harder each layer you are making. Example start out by base layer and then press harder and harder each layer you are at. And then you can blend it out with a white pencil. Hope that helped!!

No special kind, I use a Swordfish IKON pencil sharpener :)

Terrific video, I notice you erase the pencil lines before you apply the colours, will the coloured pencils not cover the pencil lines.

And probably mix it with some black or brown to make it the right colour.
