This has helped sooooo much! Thank you!!!!! I'm wanting to draw a penguin for my boyfriend as he likes penguins but I've never drawn a bird or any animal really before. Hoping your amazing technique works for me!

Is it possible to get the same effect with cheap pencils? Mine are kind of scratchy, they don't blend much. I also can't scrape them off in order to create a fur effect. Is it me or the supplies?
