These are the stories we hear about after the fact, and...we just watched it happen! This is a REAL band! They play for a living and give it all they got... a little fun has to happen along the way (LOL). Bravo Kanami!!!
And dear Kanami always wants us to believe that she's innocence personified... 🤭 I like the fact that the little devil in her comes out from time to time. Priceless and fascinating. :) _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. Forever!"_ 」 - from *BAND-MAID* - 'Manners' 🎶🕊
Great look at Kanami's new battle gear. Kanami said "this is my song bitches and I'll do what I want"...Minchzilla ROCKS!!!! That moment gives me chills when I watch it......what talent!
The effects of beer (or other alcoholic beverages) among certain musicians (except Misa of course) often have the consequences of ruining their performances on stage. This is not the case for Mincho who becomes SuperMincho. Hell yeah!🤣🤘Thanks Antony.
Another fantastic moment for the endless Band-Maid moments highlight reel! I think Kanami tamped down Mincho-mode a bit for Yokohama, but Hong Kong -- lucky bastards -- got the full crazy. I feel like I'm watching commentary on a football replay and the beer can is the ball. Mincho scores, but I think there was a penalty on the play 🍺🎸
Always great to see them having some fun onstage. The Mincho is Unleashed once again. Thanks for the upload. Happy Holidays to you all. Gotta go play some Band Maid. See ya!!!
May I shout out to fellow maidiacs in the US from Europe? Their two-part has top-fueled this awesome band with all the confidence needed to go international. I could sense insecurity during their first phase in the US - not so strange - as one may wonder where the limit between love and sarcasm lies (or "Are you watching us just as a foreign curiosity?" when swapping continents). Our American friends surely embraced them over 2 "seasons" and turbocharged them as we later got to see them perform in Mexico and now in Hong Kong. America is a notoriously hard market to break into in music (there are huge global British bands that never got traction in the US despite gifting their language to America and sharing deep pop-cultural references). Thus a nod. At least the portion of Americans who still speak "rock" has done a fantastic job in demonstrating that the US is not all xenophobic/dismissive of foreign influences. As a Norwegian who has had the pleasure of working with you both abroad and inside the US in several capacities, I am delighted to share this POV in times when news may look a bit negative and gloomy. The good people of the US embraced 5 Japanese women wearing maid costumes without culture wars breaking out, and the ladies got the message. Americans "unleashed" them. Be proud of yourself, friends. As a European, I am a bit jealous (while I am seriously saving up money to go to Japan as it seems Europe may not even be on the table in 2024). You patiently and enthusiastically made the 5 ladies embrace that you were not watching them as exotic "Japanese Martens in a cage" but were there to watch one of the most interesting bands on Earth. Have a lovely break/holiday my friends in the US, Canada and everywhere. Thank you. You demonstrated North American hospitality as I know it personally, and now the entire world has a top-fueled Band of Maids ready to tackle any stage on any continent. (Friends in Mexico - you went above and beyond as a crowd for someone watching the evolution from afar this fall).
All of us Maidiacs all around the world need to ensure Band-Maid’s World Domination. It is a group effort to assist the Maids. These five talented, and wonderful ladies, always bring a smile to any face and joy to their, ‘Masters and Princesses, who love them right back.
I think performing at Lala really meant a lot to them. I saw them in may and then twice in august. They were obviously amazing in may. But the two shows I saw in august, they just had some extra swagger to them or something. Especially Saiki. And Kanami chasing Miku across the stage with the bass in Denver was fucken hilarious!
I saw them in Mexico City and it was simply awesome. I loved that Miku made us shout as hard as we could. "This is Mexico, this is last concert of North America tour, I want to hear big big voice. Moe moe!!!" And the crowd went insane. Love to the ladies 🤘
It's an amazing group of five incredible musicians. Leave the political speeches at the door. Doesn't belong associated with this band ! People are always trying to link their own political views to this group. It doesn't belong here. World history or not ! Being able to be a fan of a group like this for many of us. Is this an escape from the day-to-day lives and the political BS. That we have shoved down our throats all the time. We don't need it associated with this group by their fan base. Who takes themselves a little bit too seriously and are very difficult to stomach ! Too many self-righteous know it all's !
You're more than Welcome!! Honestly, I've never experienced such a deafening roar of love from a crowd for anything ever until I saw them for the first time in San Diego. (I traveled from Chicago). Of course I caught both of their Lolla shows in August, but this was totally different as most people were not there to see them and were clueless. The crowd at least doubled while they were playing. Some other maidiac said that you think you're going to their show to see and hear them play and that you're going to be focused on the music, but you just may find yourself being overwhelmed by the emotion in the building. I also had the privelege of visiting your country this year too!! OMG you are blessed with the most intensely awesome natural beauty. I want to go back to Norway! Even if I do have to buy $16.00 beers.
Wow , little Kanami has become the wild animal rock n roll girl...but off stage so gentle, shy and modest . What the hell? But then again , Hendrix was like that, so why not our Mincho ??? She takes my breath away no only as a performer, but a composer/arranger as well. Every show she just keeps improving.
This is around the 47th show they've done this year. For a normal band, this would be the equivalent of about 100 shows. At this point, KANAMI deserves to fool around a little.
Lol that was awesome! Someone online was trying to tell me Mincho was the only member of the band that didn't drink. That in fact she was teetotal. I laughed so much I snorted my gin. She got really wild a few times onstage drinking MISA's whiskey!
We saw a little of Kanmincho letting her hair down here in the US in 2022 and 2023, but this is EPIC !!!!! I think it might be the new domina-style maid outfit is bringing out the inner "Minchzilla" (kudos to @_JimS for that all-time great nickname). We should be calling her Mistress Kanami from now on (and that was NOT a pun on the song), lol.
I've seen most videos, backstage blu-rays , shows right from when they were travelling around in a small van, carrying their own gear and costumes into small clubs, up to the latest tours and big venues. I own everything they have ever produced (music) and have them framed on my wall. Yes they are amazing, humble and talented ladies with so much love for their fans.
Loved the video. Thanks for posting it. I had been wondering how long it would take them to move on from wearing maid outfits.I liked the maid outfits, but actual maid cafes use very young women for maids, and the band members are now mature. Miku is still holding on, and that does not surprise me. I'm hoping the band will still be going strong many decades from now, but I felt certain that the maid outfits would have to go eventually.
From what I've seen and read about the Hong Kong concert, it appears to me that Mincho has a "what the hell, it's the last show of the year, the audience is sort of dead, I'm gonna have some fun." "Misa! I'm drinking your beer!" Haha. "Now let's play guitar battle. That was fun. Let's go home now." Good for her!
My Gawd!!! Kanami is such a little Rock Star/Goddess!! 🤘😍🤘❤🤘
That's Mincho, her 'other side'. Only happens when she picks up her guitar.
The best touch was going over close enough for Misa to smell the beer. They are incredible
These are the stories we hear about after the fact, and...we just watched it happen! This is a REAL band! They play for a living and give it all they got... a little fun has to happen along the way (LOL). Bravo Kanami!!!
There is a devil and an angel inside her. This time the devil won.
I always say the guitar battles between Misa and Kanami are "hold my beer" moments, now our guitar goddess is saying "I'm gonna drink your beer" 😁
And dear Kanami always wants us to believe that she's innocence personified... 🤭 I like the fact that the little devil in her comes out from time to time. Priceless and fascinating. :)

Kanami Mincho, 21st Centurys most impressive musician. True Rock n’ Roll Star. My hero 🔥🤘❤️
yeah my hero too,....but they are ALL heroes , they are my heroine , more or less.

Exactement! Exaactly!
Kanami was actually ALREADY in "Mincho mode" before drinking Misa's beer 😄
This moment is actually one of the greatest rockmoments in recent 20 years or so. Thank god there are still Minchos left in Rock’n Roll business 🔥🤘❤️
Having fun together. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ BM
Love see the Maid's having fun, as always! I'd rather see Mincho drinking a beer than the Red Bull she usually drinks!

Strange but I get it, analogy.
Miku's and Kanami's English is really improving. Watch part 2 of this show and you'll see.

Kanami was just having some "Fun". 😜
Mincho has definitely entered the building 🤘. And listen to her PRS scream for mercy at the end of the soloing .
There are 2 Kanami's - there is demure, shy and there is the on stage guitar beast.
FYI, Miku can drink all of them under the table!!
I know she can. She once said "we party like pirates". Unfortunately she and Misa are the only 'real' drinkers and Misa just puts them all down.
kanami”s focus THANK YOU!
1:29 💚💚💚
Touring can be a real grind, so it's encouraging to see the Maids having fun on stage. Good sounding video too.
Sometimes ya just gotta do what ya gotta do!

FULL METAL MINCHO!💥🎸⚡🎸💥
Darth Mincho explores the dark side…coffee and cake? No longer sufficient 😂
Her role in my SPACE-MAIDS movie was Dark-Maida.
When Kanami guitar speaks, everybody listens and rocks!
Turn a great guitarist loose and get a heckuva show!
Bandmaid is currently one of the best rock bands in the world. Everyone in Hong Kong is truly lucky.
New outfits are just too cool!!!🤘🤘🤘
Kanami, you can see her, but she is not there anymore, she has entered another dimension where it is only her and the music.
Her name means 'Sound Wave.' She has ascended to pure musical energy.
@@thebandofmaids I hope it goes supernova soon even if we're blinded by the light.
Goosebumps!!!!
Mincho establishing her dominance! The Mincho personality was definitely driving the bus that night.
And taking those turns hard.
such good music , if you've seen the decumentary also amazing ppl, and then such wholeheartedness , love the Maids

Miku retreating from Kanami's beer breath at 4:15
I know. It says a lot that when Kanami goes a little 'wild', the others tend to steer clear.
I love the Maids
