According to Jio Airtel, it is 12 months of the year, 13 months of the year, everyone recharges their phones, but no one has any problem, neither the government of India, the government, everything is free to eat and drink. I shifted to my new home in 2013 which is just 2kms away from old home. I applied for my existing landline shifting to my new address from old address.
My new home is exactly opposite to BSNL exchange!
Their staff told me on face that the shifting will take atleast 2 years. Also adviced me to keep on paying monthly bill for 2 years so I can retain my number.
Without any second thought, I filled up connection surrender form.
Though it took 6 months to get my deposite back from BSNL.
After 5 years of living at my current home, in 2018 BSNL people came to our building to meet our secretory. They wanted to keep a "camp" to educate people and promote "how landlines are better and reliable than mobiles".
That day I was so much thankful that I took right decision and surrendered my old landline connection!
I am now living next to BSNL for last 10 years; and only thing I have seen is protesting employees, slogan shoutings and banners demanding more benefits like OPS, leaves and payscales!
They do have an Adhar card center in premises, which is always down due to "no network in their server". The lady on Adhar counter became familiar to me after my 4-5 visits.
BSNL employees simply doesn't give a damn to what customers want. It's government legacy and employees are enjoying their job guarantees!
Such realities lead to privatization of sectors providing necessities at more cost and better quality.

I have stopped using Jio. I will use BSNL as soon as it improves it's services. Moreover Jio since 2022 started very bad service. Even after recharging I am able to use data services for only a week in a month and for rest of the month the service is not available. Wasted of recharge. Shame on Jio.
