Kent Nelson is a good person but as a lord of order Nabu's only concern is fighting chaos not necessarily evil. That is where most of the plot comes from; he refuses to give up bodies unless he is promised another one and he has even been known to turn on his fellow justice leaguers when the villains would do a better job at keeping order.
To be honest I'm one of those who didn't see the update or posts about your internship. Still, I kept my mouth shut because I figured it was something important that kept you from reacting to death battles. That being said, glad to see these return! ^^
The amount of shade thrown at the people who pester you for DB reactions are over 9000!!!! Man Dean, you hold a mean grudge XD (though I doubt any of them will get that you are slamming them hard here in a joking way and will still act ignorant) But in all seriousness, the fact people still care about your reactions enough to pester you in the beginning is both a blessing and a curse. You are still one of the best reactors still active on TH-cam, and one of the only ones who are unbiased on the fight and accept the results since its all opinion based. Watching this I think how it's 'a different sort of power fantasy' when characters are high-tier magic users. My interest in Dr. Fate featuring comics has increased now. I liked the animation done on the waves after going to the 'Ninja turtles NYC' world.

I completely understand why you are being sarcastic at the start and the commercial but it just seems new and took me back a bit but its still entertaining. I will say I didn't watch the update so I was unaware of what was happening though I didn't ask tons of times, I was worried that the constant flame wars from Death Battle videos just turned you off to doing it which made me sad but after watching the update I learned why you weren't doing the Death Battles anymore. Glad to see them back and I am glad it wasn't ruined for you, it'd be one thing if you lost interest, that would be completely fine, but having something you previously enjoyed get ruined because others take it too far would be disappointing.
A bit of a statistic regarding the time stop thing: In Death Battle, there have been eight battles in which a character used some form of time stop (or high-level time slow or hyperacceleration that is effectively similar to time stopping). Out of those battles, every character who used a time stop against an enemy who couldn't do the same, or who used their time stop first against an opponent who could do so as well, lost the fight, with the sole exception of Sora.
So basically, if you are doing the Death Battles every week, you will be on time to watch the Death Battle after this upcoming one on the 29th assuming you do it every Saturday. That actually seems pretty cool how that will work out. XD

I think the most recent one was when they discuss why they hide a bit of the info up front because they don't want you to be able to know who wins for sure upfront.

the eye of agamotto is only the time stone in the MCU, in the comics it is not that at all. strange doesn't need the time stone to manipulate time. but the MCU needed to have the time stone somewhere in their universe.
Did you know that Death Battle actually has a guy making custom music for them? Brandon Yates. Dude is awesome. Also the way this fight starts... yeah, that totally seems like Nabu. Prediction befor watching Ris's: Betting on strange, mainly because Doctor Fate just needs to lose his helmet and because in Avengers Infinity war Strange was able to see multiple different futures, to find a way to win, even though they didn't mention that in the analysis... fate is not really a prick, he is just a god that doesn't care about the tiny insignificant lifeforms. it would be like us humans caring about all the billions of bacteria we kill every day.
For me, animation and production wise they are getting better but lately I can start to poke holes in their arguments in more recent battles and have seen valid arguments for others. Like for instance, the Raven vs Twilight battle, they misinterpreted a lot of Raven's feats, her moving from across America and back likely didn't take place in 5 minutes, they apparently got that number because her soul self could only be out that long in the past but the issue before this feat happened got rid of that weakness so we only know Raven took 'minutes' so it could have been faster or slower. For her moon feat, the moon in that storyline was actually MUCH closer to the Earth due to it being dragged towards it so Raven didn't actually go from the Earth to the distance of the moon, also from what the person discussing this showed, Raven's Soul Self doesn't tank blasts, it merely absorbs them into its pocket dimension, as a weaker laser blast has taken out Raven despite using her Soul Self as a shield so she is not as fast or as durable as they made her out to be. And while giving Twilight full Alicorn Magic was dumb, they acted like getting pushed through a mountain was her maximum potential of durability but throughout that fight with Tirek, neither of them were doing any substantial harm to each other, Tirek realized that and instead decided to hold Twilight's friend's hostage to get her to relinquish her magic, since he couldn't beat her in a fight so they didn't really give her a real durability measurement because they misinterpreted the fight. Also she has used magic while drained of emotions like shown in the animation so while the animation does not matter, even if Raven drained her, she still had options. Also in Tracer vs Scout, while I haven't seen an argument explaining how he could win, two things really irked me about that fight. First and foremost, them saying Scout didn't get hit with the three missiles because 'we don't see him get hit' even though they literally altered their course to go towards him, they hit him, why downgrade his durability? Besides that they also misread what his soda does. Plenty of people in the comments mentioned it doesn't make him invulnerable, it makes him so fast that he dodges bullets instantly and when I rewatched the video again, they showed the description and even the description mentioned dodging bullets, they dropped the ball so badly for this part that they even show they made a mistake. And with the Batman vs Cap one, they use Avengers vs Justice League in their argument for why Cap 'could win' but that doesn't mean he would, except in that same comic, which is actually canon, Cap defeats a villain who even Batman has a hard time beating, and this very same villain downloaded the fighting skills of Batman, so Cap was pretty much fighting Batman in this fight, and knocked this villain on his ass. The comic they brought up actually proved that Cap would beat him in hand to hand combat yet they either missed that part or left it out. I am not saying these are wrong, maybe me and the other guy who made the first argument could be wrong or misinterpreted things as well, but for me, they seem to be doing a lot of mistakes recently and I can start to poke holes in their Death Battles where as previously I only had like two battles I wasn't fond of. I hope they improve but in terms of research, they are kind of getting bad.
Nah, I think there have always been good Death Battles and bad (or at least worse) Death Battles. I think that's just the way it's gonna be in every season. (And you know, some Death Battles that I'd consider my least favorites are others' favorites, so it's really a matter of preference.)
Yeah, honestly most of the time these days its expected matchups which are still good but I like the ones like Wolverine vs Raiden or Goliath vs Beast where it seems like there is not much in common until you look into them. Dr. Strange vs Dr. Fate was real obvious.

I don’t know about Ris, but I think death Battle is better than ever.
For me, animation and production wise they are getting better but lately I can start to poke holes in their arguments in more recent battles and have seen valid arguments for others.
Like for instance, the Raven vs Twilight battle, they misinterpreted a lot of Raven's feats, her moving from across America and back likely didn't take place in 5 minutes, they apparently got that number because her soul self could only be out that long in the past but the issue before this feat happened got rid of that weakness so we only know Raven took 'minutes' so it could have been faster or slower. For her moon feat, the moon in that storyline was actually MUCH closer to the Earth due to it being dragged towards it so Raven didn't actually go from the Earth to the distance of the moon, also from what the person discussing this showed, Raven's Soul Self doesn't tank blasts, it merely absorbs them into its pocket dimension, as a weaker laser blast has taken out Raven despite using her Soul Self as a shield so she is not as fast or as durable as they made her out to be. And while giving Twilight full Alicorn Magic was dumb, they acted like getting pushed through a mountain was her maximum potential of durability but throughout that fight with Tirek, neither of them were doing any substantial harm to each other, Tirek realized that and instead decided to hold Twilight's friend's hostage to get her to relinquish her magic, since he couldn't beat her in a fight so they didn't really give her a real durability measurement because they misinterpreted the fight. Also she has used magic while drained of emotions like shown in the animation so while the animation does not matter, even if Raven drained her, she still had options.
Also in Tracer vs Scout, while I haven't seen an argument explaining how he could win, two things really irked me about that fight. First and foremost, them saying Scout didn't get hit with the three missiles because 'we don't see him get hit' even though they literally altered their course to go towards him, they hit him, why downgrade his durability? Besides that they also misread what his soda does. Plenty of people in the comments mentioned it doesn't make him invulnerable, it makes him so fast that he dodges bullets instantly and when I rewatched the video again, they showed the description and even the description mentioned dodging bullets, they dropped the ball so badly for this part that they even show they made a mistake.
And with the Batman vs Cap one, they use Avengers vs Justice League in their argument for why Cap 'could win' but that doesn't mean he would, except in that same comic, which is actually canon, Cap defeats a villain who even Batman has a hard time beating, and this very same villain downloaded the fighting skills of Batman, so Cap was pretty much fighting Batman in this fight, and knocked this villain on his ass. The comic they brought up actually proved that Cap would beat him in hand to hand combat yet they either missed that part or left it out.
I am not saying these are wrong, maybe me and the other guy who made the first argument could be wrong or misinterpreted things as well, but for me, they seem to be doing a lot of mistakes recently and I can start to poke holes in their Death Battles where as previously I only had like two battles I wasn't fond of. I hope they improve but in terms of research, they are kind of getting bad.
Nah, I think there have always been good Death Battles and bad (or at least worse) Death Battles. I think that's just the way it's gonna be in every season. (And you know, some Death Battles that I'd consider my least favorites are others' favorites, so it's really a matter of preference.)
I think their matchups are getting a bit boring because they're going for the big names now. We'd never see Bucky O'hare nowadays.
Yeah, honestly most of the time these days its expected matchups which are still good but I like the ones like Wolverine vs Raiden or Goliath vs Beast where it seems like there is not much in common until you look into them. Dr. Strange vs Dr. Fate was real obvious.
