Darkside did win a long fight with super man & was reported to have killed him, but after super man shows he survived in a healing coma, only to return & win the next fight vs Darkside. So really Darkside only put super man into a coma, not killed him.
Just wanted to say that your videos are awesome. Always impressed the way you see the battles and how you analyze each step. Its fine not knowing every anime/character or then you be a walking wikipedia lol. Can't wait for the next video and your predictions. If you could why not bring your brother dart in more often. This way you have someone to discuss with and the videos would feel like a more fun group discussion in my opinion. With that said keep up these amazing videos!
Thanks, Tony! Unfortunately, as much as I would like to, he lives very far away, and he hasn't been able to visit for a long while due to time management and costs. I hope you continue to enjoy my videos regardless, but hopefully I'll get to record something with him again in the future, too!
No worries, It's still enjoyable either way, it's just that I know you are talking to the audience about your point of view but you are solo. In my opinion when you brought your brother along to me it felt like you filled a gap or void that the video needed to be more complete or interactive might be a better word I hope. Regardless your situation is understandable and whether he comes back in the future or you decide to bring someone different on the show (friends, etc) or not I will still find it enjoyable no matter the outcome!
I feel like this battle was a lot like the flash vs quicksilver. At first it may seem like a fair fight but once you quantify their feats, the winner is obvious.
one of my favorite characters from naruto dies a second time. it's an inevitable death but pretty enjoyable battle nonetheless... this music track is one of my favorites from death battle too.
Yes, it was in fact momentum. Roshi launched himself towards Jiraiya. Edit: Also, it was Doomsday who killed Superman. Not Darkseid. Edit: Not killed. Put into a Kryptonian Coma.
he could still dodge it. ScrewAttack always pick fight they don't know shit about they are awful at it if they actually knew what they were doing jiraiya would have dodged no problem
Yeah, Roshi did all of squat during DBZ and was way outclassed by pretty much everybody else. Suddenly in Super he did some pushups or something and was roughly on par with base Goku.
He was in no way on par with base Goku. Goku was holding back massively as to not hurt his friend and mentor. I wouldn't even put Roshi on Frieza's level of power from the Namek Saga.
I really enjoyed this one and it was a really good penultimate episode but oh boy when it comes to the next one, if there was one fight in which to become a Season Finale, I am glad it's Thanos VS Darkseid since that one has a lot of potential of being a finale but either way, I am excited to see it when it comes out.
This is one of the longer Death Battles. Almost 4 minutes. Also, the time Roshi fought Freeza's soldiers was in Super, where Roshi divided the army to around 170 soldiers each one of the Z Warriors had to deal with, himself included. Below is the quotquote th-cam.com/video/DQrW3_wh__M/w-d-xo.html
For next time... with or without the Infinity Gauntlet? That makes all the difference. The fight is going to be one sided either way, but in either direction. Without the gauntlet, Darkseid, no question. With the gauntlet, Thanos, without a doubt.
Yeah Thanos vs Darkseid is probably the most requested fight, but like, does Darkseid have ANY powers or weapons to deal things like the time stone or the reality stone?
There's a factor to consider here; it has been shown in canon (JLA/Avengers) that the Infinity Gauntlet doesn't function in the DC Universe. In that story Darkseid actually got the Gauntlet, determined it was useless to him and threw it away. It's less clear whether this means "doesn't work if it's physically in the DC Universe" or "doesn't work on things from the DC Universe." Probably the former. But it does mean the location matters a lot..
Just to clarify about Dragon Ball... Dragon Ball Z is basically a sequel to the original Dragon Ball, and Dragon Ball Super is a sequel to Dragon Ball Z, think of it being like Naruto to Naruto Shippuden to... Shippuden season 2, I guess...?
To think of these two in terms of RPG stats, I'd say Roshi has better stats, but Jiraiya is more versatile. Normally, I'd say that the more versatile fighter would win. However, the power difference is just too great. That being said, I do think Jiraiya COULD win. His genjutsu is certainly a game winning move for him in most fights. But I'd say if these two fought 100 times, Roshi would win 99 of those fights. And yeah, the animation is always for entertainment only. Never look at it as how the fight would go or even how it could go. It's just to entertain.
Ultra instinct is being able to fight without thinking (like blinking and breathing) whis all of whis's kind have it and gods like beerus have been trying to get it for billions to trillions of year. (and goku mastered it in about 30 minutes)
@@sparkyphantom92 The billions to trillions of year thing sounds like an exaggeration but yeah. Athough even with ultra instinct Goku almost lost did lose the battle to the person he was fighting, who was just using pure strength and rage alone to match and even surpass Goku's ultra instinct. (Well Goku beat his opponent down and basically won the fight but not the match and ended up taking a big toll for using ultra instinct way past his limit so currently he can't willingly use it whenever he wants to)
Screw attack is so stupid. This is how the fight would ACTUALLY happen: Jiraiya gets speed blitzed before he can do anything. His body explodes from Roshi's punch. Roshi proceeds to nuke Naruto's entire planet. Good game. Is everyone good now? ok, cook. Now quit the bullshit.
Jusr an FYI, it was Doomsday who killed Superman. I don't know if Darkseid ever killed Superman in the comics, but he could hold his own against him. Still looking forward to him fighting Thanos.
When I first watched the death battle, I thought it was gonna be because jiraiya would be peeping at naked girls in the hot springs for his "research" and then roshi would also be peeking too but was too loud and scared away the girls which would make jiraiya mad at him for disrupting his "research"
Dragonball was the original series which goes from Kid Goku's first meeting Bulma all the way up until Goku's fight against Piccolo "Junior" at the World Martial Arts Tournament. Dragonball Z chronologically takes place at least 4 years after Dragonball ends, as Goku had only just married Chi-Chi at the end of Dragonball, and by the time Dragonball Z starts, Goku now has a 4-year-old son in Gohan. Dragonball Z goes all the way from the Saiyan Saga to the Buu saga. And then Dragonball Super takes place after Dragonball Z and begins to go into the Battle of Gods and Resurrection of F plotlines, and thne it goues into the Universal Tournament, the Goku Black arc, and then finally the Tournament of Power. I believe the upcoming Broly movie will also tie in and take place after the tournament of power, where I believe Broly in the new movie is supposed to be even stronger than Jiren. As far as timespan goes, Dragonball Z takes the most time in the Dragonball chronology, as at the beginning, Gohan is just a 4 year old boy, but by the end, Gohan himself is married to Videl with a daughter (Pan) on the way. But yeah, no way could Roshi have lost to Jiraiya. Dercori herself used illusions against Roshi, but he instantly knew they were just illusions and had a way to not only counter them, but to also eliminate Dercori herself in the process. And no, Darkseid isn't the one who "killed" Superman, that would be Doomsday. Darkseid is easily one of Superman's deadliest enemies however, alongside the likes of Brainiac. Darkseid is one of the few villains who actually *could* kill Superman. But with Thanos vs Darkseid, I figure that the winner will be determined by whether the Infinity Gauntlet is in play. If it is, and Thanos gets his hands on it, Darkseid loses since Thanos can just use the Reality stone to wipe Darkseid out of existence entirely, the time stone to either age Darkseid to death or reverse the flow of time for Darkseid until he "never existed", the Power stone could just vaporize Darkseid, the Space stone could just teleport Darkseid somewhere that would instantly kill him, etc. Without the Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos probably loses, but *with* it, he wins.
In Naruto's universe but not to the beings in Dragon Ball. They have stopped Solar System destroying blasts. Pretty sure the Big Ball Rasengan isn't anywhere close to that level of power.
Here’s the order of the Dragon Ball Franchise 1. Dragon Ball:The Original Show. All about Goku growing up 2. Dragon Ball Z: This is a show after Dragon Ball. The Sagas are in this order. Saiyan Saga: Saiyans come from Space to mess up everyone’s days Frieza Saga: Cast goes to space, and has to fight galactic tyrant Frieza Cell Saga: Androids scree with Everything. Perfect Cell gets stronger and stronger, and they have to stop him. Buu Saga-7 years later, the pink blob Buu emerges and causes everyone issues. 3. Dragon Ball Super: This Show happens after Z Battle of Gods. Goku meets a new foe Beerus and gains a new form that elevates him to the power of Gods Resurrection F. Frieza’s back and attacks earth for revenge Universe 6 Tournament: World Building tournament Arc about an alternate universe. Goku Black Saga. An evil Goku is just being a Jerk Universal Survival Arc. There is a tournament of Universes where If all your fighters lose, your Universe is destroyed.
It all depends if Thanos gets to use IG or HOTU, Although, they have used non-canon stuff in these battles before, so Soulfire Darkseid might be used aswell… I honestly dont see how Thanos stand any chance… Ofc if he gets to use either of those items the outcome might be different.
Ultra Instinct is like Power of Nothingness that Ryu has in Street Fighter except it is a power for Gods more than mortals and is used by not thinking and instead going by instinct it was introduced nearing the end of Dragon Ball Super.
In canon only Doomsday has killed Supes, any other deaths were in Elseworlds or aborted timelines. That said Darkseid has wiped the floor with Superman a number of times.
@@GriffinPilgrim Very true. Personally, I think the only chance Darkseid has to win is to somehow trick or force Thanos outside of his own dimension. If he can do that Thanos loses all of the Infinity Gauntlet's power, and can easily destroy him. If he can't though, then I think Thanos is just too powerful with the infinite power of every aspect of reality at his control.
@Okashido See I don't think Thanos should be allowed the Infinity Gauntlet. It's not part of his usual loadout, it's a thing he has had briefly and very rarely. I mean Superman has used a Green Lantern ring on a few occasions but that doesn't mean he should get one in Death Battle 'cos he doesn't normally have one. If Thanos gets the Gauntlet Darkseid should get the Anti Life Equation and that would make the Infinity Gauntlet irrelevant as the ALE would deprive Thanos of the will to use it. So I think they should both fight without their universe-breaking final goals available to them.
@@GriffinPilgrim True, but Thanos is much more famous for having the gauntlet than Darkseid is for having the ALE. However, if they do go the route of neither having their omnipowerful item, then I'd go for Darkseid. He's stronger, tougher, and has powers(to my knowledge from doing base research on them) without the ALE. As far as I'm aware, Thano is merely strong for his universe. DC is far more powerful than the vast bulk of Marvel.
@Okashido I think my real objection to Thanos being allowed to use the Gauntlet (which I freely admit applies the ALE as well) is that it then stops being Darkseid vs Thanos and becomes Darkseid vs The Infinity Gauntlet. 'Cos as I understand it the power granted by that particular piece of reality twisting bling has nothing to do with who's using it. Whether it's being wielded by Thanos, Doctor Doom, Captain America or Jim From Accounting the result would be the same. So if you want Darkseid vs Thanos it should be gloveless. And I agree that without the Gauntlet Thanos isn't even in Darkseid's weight class.
Here's the timeline for Dragon Ball Dragon Ball Dragon Ball Z Dragon Ball Super The final 2 episodes of Dragon Ball Z Dragon Ball GT(not considered canon) As for Dragon Ball Z Kai, it was a remake of Dragon Ball Z but without the bulk of the filler And Roshi's fight against Frieza's army actually took place years after Trunks(who time travelled to meet Goku and give him medicine for a heart virus that took his life in hopes of making his time period safe from the Androids known as 17 and 18) making it after the Frieza Saga, which was in Dragon Ball Z and not Dragon Ball which was first as you now know
I think this would have been a better DBX then a Death Battle. Yea, good on paper (Where it would have been good for DBX), but not so much if you look into it at all. But still, I like it.
I knew from the beginning that Roshi would win, by simple analogy. Jiraiya was killed by Pain, who isnt even the strongest in the Akatsuki; that would be Obito, but even Obito is dwarfed when it comes to power level by Madara, the rightful main antagonist of the Narutoverse. Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, said Madara is only as strong as Nappa, Vegetas lieutenant from the Sayian saga, way in the early days of DBZ. Given how far Dragon Ball has gone since, it is to be expected that even if Roshi were the weakest of the main cast, he is still way more powerful than Jiraiya. The second biggest factor would be trickery, but we have seen that none of the two has a decisive advantage in that category, meaning Roshi still has an overall advantage and is more likely to win. As for the next one: It was actually Doomsday, not Darkseid, who killed Superman, which Im sure you read to death by now, but keep in mind Darkseid is even more dangerous. He is physically strong and fast enough to battle Superman from arguably an advantage, not to mention he has eye beams he can move freely, he can teleport, he can read and control minds, and he has several more abilities that can do insane amounts of damage to basically anyone. Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet, however, is cut from an even more insanely OP cloth. With all the stones in place he can alter space, time, reality, minds, and souls, which means he can change every aspect of the universe, or his opponents, in any way that gives him an advantage. He has however been stopped, even with the Infinity Gauntlet, by beings who occupy higher dimensions, and incidentally that is exactly what Darkseid is, a higher dimensional being who manifests in our plain of existence to manifest its will; defeating him doesnt mean defeating the entity, it means stopping its plans, but given this is not that kind of a setting, I am reasonably convinced Darkseid will win.
Both characters have died as well Roshi died to Demon King Piccolo or to Tambourine in Dragon Ball jiraiya died to the Pains in Shippuden Roshi came back with the Dragon Balls he started training up later in Dragon Ball Z in the beginning of it he was weaker than Krillin he was strong and helped out in Dragon Ball Super as well.
Oh. It must have been a while since you’ve seen Naruto then. That’s okay. The whole writing thing wasn’t a super big deal except for when Naruto fought Pain
You realize it doesn't start at Dragon Ball Z right? Z is like a third of the way through the series. Dragon Ball is where it begins back before they came up with Namekians and Saiyans and all that crap. All throughout the original Roshi's pretty active and where they got most of his "feats" from in the video. Also he wasn't involved in the Frieza saga much at all. Him fighting Frieza guys was done decades after Z ended.
Yeah, I know it didn't start with Z. Just not sure about what happened where and such. Like I didn't know what you mentioned about Namekians and Saiyans.
I've gotta give credit to Tracer VS Scout; I got the most involved in that one, actually examining feats and numbers and stuff myself ahead of time. It's the only Death Battle so far for which I made a separate discussion/prediction video.
Actually, you're not wrong... Darkseid has killed Superman... multiple times... Be has killed countless alternate Supermen from across the multiverse, just not the main continuity one.
Omg Saiyan Saga was first then Frieza Saga and him fighting Frieza's men was in Super not Z in the second sago Golden Frieza Sago based on the Resurrection of F movie as the first saga was based of tje Batlle of Gods movie the Beerus Saga or Super Saiyan God Saga as i call it.
If it's so obvious if one will win what's the point. Death battle had to be one of the biggest waste of times, especially since at the end of the day, it's still an opinion. Researched, but even that can't say anything for certain.
Then why are you here? Just enjoy the entertainment they're trying to provide. Or, if you'd rather not, just leave it be for those who do want to enjoy it. There's nothing wrong with stopping a video and going elsewhere if you decide it's not for you.
@@Ris_Grestar I'm just pointing out my point of view, I'm not saying it's a bad thing if you enjoy the video, it just feels like a slap in the face when at the end of the video they say something along the lines of " *character* is strong, but obviously nowhere near as strong as *character*". The reason why I'm here is because I enjoy your input and reaction to the video, even if it feels like the fight had no point at the end of it. Not all fights are like that, but I can help but feel disappointment when I wait for a new video to release and have Chaz and Boomstick say it wasn't a close fight. I won't apologize for my point of view, but it was not my intention to upset you either.
Or read it. They're both good, and they're very different. Both action series but DB is more of a comedy with absurd humor and even a crossover with Toriyama's previous series (which shows up again in Super). And if you start off with DB basic, you'll understand more about what goes on, like the great apes, the Red Ribbon Army and their artificial humans, the legacy of King Piccolo and his other half, and so on. Now, some characters from the original are flat out dropped in Z, like that blonde girl who shot Roshi in the summation here. She's a major player in the first series but flat out vanishes in Z, supposedly because Toriyama forgot her. Oh yeah Ris, that's another thing. In anything Dragon Ball, be it the original, Z, Super, GT, or anything, remember that the creator must pulls stuff out of his ass whenever he feels like it, and has forgotten major plot points before. I mean heck, the story goes that the only reason Super Saiyin exists is that he found it a hassle to keep coloring Goku's hair black. At least that's the rumor I heard.
Let's see if I can stop the madness before it begins: Doomsday killed Superman, not Darkseid.

Ya your right Roshi's momentum was still going even when he was under the illusion.
ᅚDen Bro he was focused on doing the illusion.

Yes, momentum killed Jiraiya
Also, doomsday (Who fought Hulk) killed Superman

Excellent.
Hi ris just found your channel but your chill so i subbed to ya :D
Why thanks!
Yeah, Roshi did all of squat during DBZ and was way outclassed by pretty much everybody else. Suddenly in Super he did some pushups or something and was roughly on par with base Goku.
Brown Cow
When you look at it that way...it is pretty much bullshit.
He was in no way on par with base Goku. Goku was holding back massively as to not hurt his friend and mentor. I wouldn't even put Roshi on Frieza's level of power from the Namek Saga.
You were right about the momentum thing btw.
Below is the quotquote

For next time... with or without the Infinity Gauntlet? That makes all the difference. The fight is going to be one sided either way, but in either direction. Without the gauntlet, Darkseid, no question. With the gauntlet, Thanos, without a doubt.
Yeah Thanos vs Darkseid is probably the most requested fight, but like, does Darkseid have ANY powers or weapons to deal things like the time stone or the reality stone?
They said on the Cast that the Infinity Gauntlet would be used
@@ReikokuXTaifuu Nope. But, without the gauntlet, what can Thanos do about the Omega Beam? The gauntlet is without a doubt the single deciding factor.
@@GriffinPilgrim why not both.
Aside from Nova vs Green Lanturn, Thanos vs Darkseid is the last Marvel vs DC battle I care about.
13:47 THAT’S HIS INSTRUCTOR’S GENJUTSU NOT HIS 😑 Jiraiya is terrible at Genjutsu.

(Well Goku beat his opponent down and basically won the fight but not the match and ended up taking a big toll for using ultra instinct way past his limit so currently he can't willingly use it whenever he wants to)
I can fight without thinking, I just need a few beers first.
The next fight will be cool.
Screw attack is so stupid. This is how the fight would ACTUALLY happen:
Jiraiya gets speed blitzed before he can do anything. His body explodes from Roshi's punch. Roshi proceeds to nuke Naruto's entire planet. Good game.

Coma*
Jusr an FYI, it was Doomsday who killed Superman. I don't know if Darkseid ever killed Superman in the comics, but he could hold his own against him. Still looking forward to him fighting Thanos.
When I first watched the death battle, I thought it was gonna be because jiraiya would be peeping at naked girls in the hot springs for his "research" and then roshi would also be peeking too but was too loud and scared away the girls which would make jiraiya mad at him for disrupting his "research"
I thought that it would be they reach for the last dirty magazine on the shelf.
Doomsday killed Superman

Here’s the order of the Dragon Ball Franchise
1. Dragon Ball:The Original Show. All about Goku growing up
2. Dragon Ball Z: This is a show after Dragon Ball. The Sagas are in this order.
Saiyan Saga: Saiyans come from Space to mess up everyone’s days
Frieza Saga: Cast goes to space, and has to fight galactic tyrant Frieza
Cell Saga: Androids scree with Everything. Perfect Cell gets stronger and stronger, and they have to stop him.
Buu Saga-7 years later, the pink blob Buu emerges and causes everyone issues.
3. Dragon Ball Super: This Show happens after Z
Battle of Gods. Goku meets a new foe Beerus and gains a new form that elevates him to the power of Gods
Resurrection F. Frieza’s back and attacks earth for revenge
Universe 6 Tournament: World Building tournament Arc about an alternate universe.
Goku Black Saga. An evil Goku is just being a Jerk
Universal Survival Arc.

Darkseid VS Thanos will be one of the best season finales EVER!
Ultra Instinct is like Power of Nothingness that Ryu has in Street Fighter except it is a power for Gods more than mortals and is used by not thinking and instead going by instinct it was introduced nearing the end of Dragon Ball Super.
I know this is a odd request but can you please react to Super Mario Bros Super? It’s really good!
Technically, a lot of people have "killed" superman. Darkseid however is stupid strong.
Yay!😄
Here's the timeline for Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball Z
Dragon Ball Super
The final 2 episodes of Dragon Ball Z
Dragon Ball GT(not considered canon)
As for Dragon Ball Z Kai, it was a remake of Dragon Ball Z but without the bulk of the filler
And Roshi's fight against Frieza's army actually took place years after Trunks(who time travelled to meet Goku and give him medicine for a heart virus that took his life in hopes of making his time period safe from the Androids known as 17 and 18) making it after the Frieza Saga, which was in Dragon Ball Z and not Dragon Ball which was first as you now know
I couldnt figure out the ending either but the battle is for entertainment purposes so whatevs
Nice
Tomorrow is my 17th birthday.
Happy birthday!

What is your favourite Death Battle?
Anime Wise Dragon Ball Z takes place about 5 Years After Dragon Ball but yeah the whole Manga was called Dragon Ball

Watch! Dragon Ball! I honestly feel it's better than DBZ.
At least that's the rumor I heard.
i thought it was over for Roshi
