If I go to heaven, I hope Buckethead is there playing on a golden stage with angels dancing behind him. And, yes, I wouldn't mind a cold Dr Pepper with that as I watch and listen to him for all eternity.
Btw,this was in 09,the year Michael Jackson died!Apparently this performance took place one day before MJ`s birthday!MJ was an influence to BH and he pays tribute to him by wearing a white armband!...One of my favorite artists of all time, inspired by another...It doesn´t get any better!I love it!
This is the riff that starts my day...everyday...followed up by Frozen Brains, Night of the Slunk , Welcome to Bucketheadland, F4 Phantom and Dry....who needs coffee....this guy is amazing...missed him in Birmingham last year...Damn...
Listening to Buckethead has taught me that you only get one life so whatever you choose to do, do it well with style, and I have never heard him say a single word!!!!!
On top you have Buckethead Below is EVERYONE else! What made JIMI SO GREAT IS HE HAD NO ONE TO IMITATE,Secondly he was just Totally Awesome. When JIMI 1ST came to play people would just Stand & Stare because he was playing beyond EVERYONE'S Imagination. If JIMI were alive ,can U Imagine him & Bucket head on Stage together in 1999, Jimi would"ve been 56 when Bucket released Monsters & Robots.Brings tear to my eyes!
Buckethead is a Guitar Genius! Thanks SO MUCH for uploading these AWESOME quality videos of THE MAN for our viewing pleasure. I watch your videos several times a day every day.
It's crazy seeing Buckethead bobbing his head to the groove around 0:51, you never see that side of Buckethead being a bit more human, usually he's moving mechanically about, I would've killed to see this performance in person!
Just amazing, I watch him play for hours , and watch his fingers, and yes would never be able to move like that , I wish I could see him play alone with no screaming and shouting, selfish I know right 😁thank you Mr.B .C. for sharing your gift , Yours Joi Unangst Haynes 💕oh by the way I was the only to there looking stupid at the concert when he came to me first , I looked at him in shock until he looked at me and showed me what button to push .. . I couldn't move 😁😁😁😁💕
Wow. I'm going to a Buckethead live show in a couple weeks. I don't think this one is on his current list, but I sure wish it was. It must be awesome live and in person... just mind-blowing. The beginning with the kill switch is so pulsating and dramatic, then I love at 1:03 where he stops like a cat getting ready to pounce into an explosion of even more awesome sounds.
I wouldn't really call it a "trick" per say, but installing a push-button kill-switch in your guitar is relatively easy. Although, it becomes a little more difficult if you decide to drill a hole in your guitar instead of converting one of your pre-existing knobs into the kill-switch. Bucket uses an arcade style kill-switch. I actually had one installed in my guitar, a "Sanwa OBSF-30" and it is almost exact, if not exactly the same. If you want a kill-switch i recommend that model! However, you will have to import it from Japan more than likely. It just takes a little bit of practice and requires the user to be proficient at "tapping". Also, I highly doubt Gibson makes that kill-switch, more than likely they purchase it elsewhere.
I heard of Buckethead play with Guns N' Roses but only now did I really listen to his solo stuff. This guy is truly great, I put him right up there with Hendrix, Van Hallen and Bo Diddly.
+Rayvyn007 I'd put Hendrix, Van Hallen and Bo Diddly right up there with Buckethead. But slightly below since no matter how technically proficient they were their musical abilities just don't compare in my ear, sorry.
@NinjeticReflex Yeah, that was really nice. And what made it even better was that he played it at such low gain because of his volume being turned down on the guitar. Playing fast stuff like that at low gain takes balls and practice. ^^
😂 Every now and then you can see he gets into the music, and subtle head groove. Then he may be a robot, hand out toys, or nunchuck art. You just never know. 😊❤
I can always picture a dramatic cartoon story in my head as I listen to this. From 0:04 to 0:22 hostile aliens are breaking into our universe from another dimension. Then from 0:31 to 1:03 desperate Earth authorities are using massive surges of electricity to jumpstart an ancient defense robot that has not been activated for thousands of years. Finally at 1:07 the gigantic, statue-like robot suddenly comes to life, breaks free from the rust and rock encrusting it, and soars into space to do its thing. At 1:41 it begins to battle the aliens, gaining the upper hand at 2:20. At 2:52, its mission completed, the robot returns to its resting place in the face of a cliff and begins its shutdown sequence. I know Voltron was a cartoon in the 1980's, but I never watched it... I think I just imagined all this from hearing the music.
As an aspiring guitar player, I would like to know what he's tapping near the volume and tone knobs on his guitar. I've never heard a sound like that produced on the guitar before listening to Buckethead.
Well you don't wind the string all the way around the peg you just cut the ends off but there hard as hell to cut so unless you have wire clippers your kinda stuck
i was going to go to this concert! i was real close to this town in colorado at the same time on vacation in colorado but some shit came up :/ i am kinda far from colorado
Apparently some people call the kill switch a gimmick. If he operates it by hand requiring musical skill and precise timing, and it makes sounds like this possible, how is it a gimmick any more than the guitar's strings? In a sense, whoever first invented this kill switch idea, invented a new musical instrument.
If I go to heaven, I hope Buckethead is there playing on a golden stage with angels dancing behind him. And, yes, I wouldn't mind a cold Dr Pepper with that as I watch and listen to him for all eternity.
then you have a view like mine, including the dr pepper
If you open your eyes and see Justin Bieber and a can of Mello Yellow then you know you made some bad choices in life.
Me too but I prefer a Coca Cola 😂
@@Fuzzybeanerizer your description of Hell checks out 😂
@@Fuzzybeanerizer LOL! 🤣
Bucketheads songs give me a sense of truth, there truly beautiful, a lot of them make me cry

Man, the venue better be a soundproof building... I think by 1:15 people walking by on the street will be busting down the doors to get in.
Nah Soothsayer should definitely be considered a top 3 song
ladies and gentleman Mr buckethead
As I introduce Buckethead to friends this song comes in so handy as it is so short and samples a lot of his skills. Their jaw drops.

everybody can do that tricks but cant compose music like him why he has his own crazy style
This is the riff that starts my day...everyday...followed up by Frozen Brains, Night of the Slunk , Welcome to Bucketheadland, F4 Phantom and Dry....who needs coffee....this guy is amazing...missed him in Birmingham last year...Damn...

The melody and his custom button guitar effects are amazing, it was viva at 02:00 when he started a simple but technical lead. Really emotional song.

+Percy Smith imagine Buckethead, Jimi and Shawn Lane. That would be insane
+Doktor Jekyll van Hyde Yes sir I might Pass Out!Wake up & Pass out again.
+Percy Smith Also Shawn Lane Played like them both Effortlessly.
Percy Smith true. bucketheads tapping actually came from shawn lane or at least it was inspired by lane
+Doktor Jekyll van Hyde I'd like to see Bucket and Eddie Hazel or Randy Rhoads
We all love his guitaring but Buckets drum tracks are just as awesome, and his bass lines.
say what? hes got drum tracks? NO WAY? ummmm i need to hear them if so.. please

Seeing Viva Voltron on the Voltron DVD collection was my Buckethead initiation.

Its not that he rarely miss some notes. He does not make mistakes, it is just a cool technique that he uses voluntarily
Toughest question ever asked by anyone-
"What's your most favourite BH song?"
Q : What is your favourite BH song?
A : Yes
I have. It's Soothsayer. I helped me a lot and it was the first song that introduced me to this reality.
@@kanasaicibet lol the only right answer
My friend showed me buckethead today... And i have to say, this is fucking awesome. I never listen to straight guitar for 30 minutes, but holy hell.
One day i want to be just like buckethead...

@Magnus Leuthner Perfect choice of words, there!
Maybe he gets more involved in this particular song... Dunno. I only know nobody can be compared to this guy.

Eargasm when he plays with his killswitch lol
Yep, Bucketgasm
Published on my bday! I love it! How did you know?
" ... and god so loved the earth , that he sent a prophet - clad in the bucket of talent , to spread the message of love to all...""
why are all his performances at the mishawaka fucking awesome?!?
Did he really intend to turn his guitar's arm into a mace? Gotta love this guy but WHAT'S WITH THE ULTRA LONG UNWINDED STRINGS?
Well you don't wind the string all the way around the peg you just cut the ends off but there hard as hell to cut so unless you have wire clippers your kinda stuck
WOWWWWW
i was going to go to this concert! i was real close to this town in colorado at the same time on vacation in colorado but some shit came up :/ i am kinda far from colorado
