I'd have just gone "Oh boy I have a song to show you" before putting on Green Grass and High Tides by the Outlaws. Country-Rock, ten minute long. Half of it is guitar soloing.
That at least kinda has guitars. Seriously. There’s barely any guitars on the radio (aside from classic rock/country stations or metal/blues stations).
@111Buckethead the absolute most perfect nottingham lace version was in this show and it is on this channel th-cam.com/video/vYxrdrzmuUw/w-d-xo.html enjoy cause its crazy as fuck
WOW, I just recently started listening to Buckethead, like 2 days ago. Now I just can't stop listening to him! and I don't want to try either. He is by far the BEST Guitarist, and artist ingeneral! His music is unbelieveably good. FOREVER Buckethead!!
@supercoolninjayo Hardly, the man is very nice and generous. He gives away toys to the audience every night he plays, he's given away a Les Paul before to an audience member, he's shaken peoples hands before, In 2008 he gave away two acoustic guitars at one show, he usually just throws his stuff into the audience, and he lets the audience play his guitar. He is seemingly a very kind man and wants to please all of his fans as best as he can. It's tough to be generous like that with the persona.
I know this is older tha a decade ago but I meet Bucket twice and bro was, the best person you will find out there, he was incredible with all his fans even when we took hours from him... Hes truly one of a kind not just with the guitar My only hero
Buckethead is still on top of his game, but I feel like this tour was just absolute fire. Something about this HUGE practically a baritone guitar, with heavy top's being played heavy handed through a MESA on the red channel and modern setting. The ghostly delay of the midiverb II and those Harry Kolbe cabinets were just something special. This is probably the best sounding guitar ever heard.
@HendrixVanHalen100 It is a chicken. Buckethead can make good-sounding music with anything. "Welcome to Buckheadland" was recorded on two sandwiches connected by a dirty piece of yarn.
Night of the slunk is such a fitting name to these beautiful notes my the worlds most inspirational man. I love you mr buckethead you rock my friend. WHEN YOU GONNA GET YOURSELF TO BRITAIN AND TOUR COS I CANT AFFORD TO COME TO THE STATES AND I WOULD CHERISH THE EXPERIENCE OF MEETING YOU. PLUS I HAVE SOME EPIC TOYS TO SWAP WITH UOU . "HEADCHEEEEESE
i believe buckethead wants to be able to go outside without having 100 ppl going after him and thats why he has a mast ^^ anyway this song is amazing and he is the most uniqe guitarist i´ve ever seen =)
He's a shred guitarist and that's a super small niche...I doubt 100 people would bother him if he was at the store. Probably take months for at least one person to recognize him.
Henry Buss for gods sake dude he’s not all about just shred. Take a listen to his calm albums like Colma or Electric Tears. He has so many calm and non shred albums
@ThaSlunk I was introduced to buckethead when i saw him live, it was an experienced that has changed the way i play guitar forever, Thank you buckethead, and Get Well Soon
ah, this guy is just so amazing. i wish more people looked past the mask, like he does. he really cares about the music and not his image or fame. this guy's just incredible! and he shreds like none other
I love this song, and I love you Buckethead! When I saw him live and he opened with this song I was elated. Props Buckethead, you're my favorite guitarist!
I wish I could articulate words as swiftly and perfectly as Buckethead plays the guitar. I would be sure to be the most persuasive man on the planet. Thank you God for giving us the gift of Buckethead! Live long mr bucket!
My brother invited me to a buckethead concert and I had never seen or heard of him before. He played this song as well as the Embalmer. That's all it took to get me into this dude.
keep in mind that when he plays live it sounds better but he often does his own thing. the gist of the song is there but if he feels like changing it or accidently messes a bit up we just accept it and love him still :) after all his live stuff is pretty stellar don't ya think?
Not many teenage girls are going to want to watch a man with a bucket on his head shred the ever living shit out of his instrument so quit your worrying.
I was looking for this video and I could have swore all the ones that were 9 years old werent it. Then I found it. Been a buckethead fan for a long time
Steve Vai once said that you can't compare guitarists saying one is better than another. He described guitar playing as an act of expression and not one person can truly express them better than another person. This is the beauty of music.
@supercoolninjayo um, in case you didnt notice, buckethead isnt much of a people person. Hes not like lady Gaga who uses wierd costumes to get attention, hes just a genuinely wierd dude.
His bridge pickup (a DiMarzio Tone Zone) is hooked up to an onboard phaser and thru that he uses a heavy distortion with a wah pedal. If you want his exact tone, you'll need a Tone Zone pickup and phaser.
I've listened all the way through a few of his albums, and I think he's a great guitarist. I don't know why my comment was voted down so much. I was just saying the ones that I could remember quickly. I wasn't paying attention to the names when I was listening from albums. My personal favorite is Soothsayer, though Android of Notre Dame, Jump Man, The Redeem Team, Night of the Slunk, Frozen Brains Tell No Tales, and I Can Only Carry 50 Chickens at a Time also hold top spots on my faves.
Actually during his shows he's very active. He used to not move around a bunch but in his more recent shows(I went to one on the 22nd) and he was moving around and keeping the crowd into it. As for the no soul part ->""Who me", "Decoding the tomb of the bansheebot", "For mum" "ghost" and maybe "Soothsayer"" also need to add Padmasana(live preferred). His recent live stuff is just overflowing with emotion.
I had a friend that said to me one day, "I listen to country because there aren't any annoying guitar solos." I have not talked to them since.
well some people don't like it. not a problem
@Yuhboisam hahhahahahah
I'd have just gone "Oh boy I have a song to show you" before putting on Green Grass and High Tides by the Outlaws. Country-Rock, ten minute long. Half of it is guitar soloing.
He's 100% listening to stadium country, which is a fate worse than death
That at least kinda has guitars.
Seriously.
There’s barely any guitars on the radio (aside from classic rock/country stations or metal/blues stations).

Fuck, this dude is so awesome. His playing is so out there.
his solos are extraordinary
@supercoolninjayo Hardly, the man is very nice and generous. Saw Buckethead live and It was amazing. Not one lyric through the whole show and I was still so entertained by this master of the guitar.
ah, this guy is just so amazing. i wish more people looked past the mask, like he does. he really cares about the music and not his image or fame. this guy's just incredible!
and he shreds like none other

I love this song, and I love you Buckethead! When I saw him live and he opened with this song I was elated. Props Buckethead, you're my favorite guitarist!

I wish I could articulate words as swiftly and perfectly as Buckethead plays the guitar. I would be sure to be the most persuasive man on the planet. Thank you God for giving us the gift of Buckethead! Live long mr bucket!
omg that solo is amazing

That streching strap is simply awesome! I just want one like that!
I love how he uses an ipod nano as his backup. Guitar god, seen him once.
from a recent period of time when technology was reliable, lasted from a long time and would not stop working at random times due to "updates"
then 2008 happened and fucked everything for everyone (LOL so dramatic)
Best ! It's been many years I'm still watching this
Can't you picture Bruce Lee fighting during this song..
Bruce Lee can't move that fast . (And that says something)
Another great guitar player named David, I love me some Buckethead!!!! Do rock on people!!!!
Freakish talent...
All of Buckethead videos are starting to get great viewing figures. ABOUT TIME! people are starting to realise what a genius this guy really is.
Justa Beaver get a billion frikin' hits, and this is just over a million? We are all doomed!
Do you see the little smile in his face? I love it so muchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......hmmm:-))
Can't get enough from it.......
Not many teenage girls are going to want to watch a man with a bucket on his head shred the ever living shit out of his instrument so quit your worrying.
I fell like hypnotized, it is totally so special this sound, never heard it before. Really great music
I saw him live, and he opened with this. I came. Oh how I came
The goat guitar player::
i dont understand, every bukcethead video has a unlike button available. for no reason.
And some people get so distracted by his playing that they click it accidentally. It's wild

This solo is incredible
This is definately a less complex guitar song of his but all the same, one of the best he has ever done.

This is an example of the representation of feelings on the guitar.
love the riff change seconds before the solo
God himself plays through this man's fingers! And to think he composes all of this music himself, simply incredible
December 30th, 2008. Buckethead in Portland Oregon!!!! Be there!!
Gotta love that solo.
His bridge pickup (a DiMarzio Tone Zone) is hooked up to an onboard phaser and thru that he uses a heavy distortion with a wah pedal. If you want his exact tone, you'll need a Tone Zone pickup and phaser.
Aaaaaand 10 years later it still rockiiiiiin’

May Buckethead endure forever!
Buckethead pretty much... ROCKS!!

I've listened all the way through a few of his albums, and I think he's a great guitarist. I don't know why my comment was voted down so much.

You know everyone says that Bucket is a shredder. Sure he shreds, but he's so much more than that. The guy is just super talented.
