This is a 1984 Corvette, C4, CrossFire injection, 4+1 replica of the Face Man's car from the TV show, "THE A-TEAM".
This is a factory perfect car with the red stripe added.

I grew up in the A team era and always thought faceman's car was so cool!
I live in Europe so you hardly ever saw a corvette on the road, which of course added to the awesomeness back then.
I used to absolutely love,love,love,love,LOVVVVVEEES this car & apart from the motorcycle in street hawk and the helicopter in blue thunder I always got jealous of Face everytime he jumped into his ride!🤦🏾👀💯❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

These were close to 25k new..... Bob is right on with what he’s asking in my opinion. I own an 84. They’re a labor of love....but cheap enough to work on, so no biggie. Nice video!
This was my favorite car on the A-team series. I thought Faceman was so awesome and made the show. This corvette is beautiful except for that aftermarket stereo.
When I reviewed a 1985 the ATeam came up! It also was a white one, so it was fitting. Nice job on bringing it back to proper 80's glory Bob!

As I recall the studio simply rented a white corvette from a local rental service and then put the red stripes on whenever they needed shots of the car. So that's likely why there isn't an original model anywhere because it was a rental.
Love the roar of that eight. Just hearing this reminds me of the Porsche 928.

I have a Silver '84 very similar to this one and bought it from a gent last Summer in his early '70s!!
It only has 90,000 miles on it and has been stored inside and babied.
One of the only 80's movie cars that actually drives as well as in the movie

I love these cars. Work on a lot. Yes there are no 83 Corvettes They did not have the chassis finalized in time and they sold as an 84 model year. There is rumor to be 1 or 2 with 1983 model year corvettes buried in a collector bunker somewhere in area 51

The summer of 92 leading to my senior year of highschool, my dad bought me a 1984 C4 Vette white with red interior. I found it advertised for $8500.00 in a thrifty nickle sales paper. It was about thirty miles away was a second owner car and said call Shannon for the details. To my surprise when I called Shannon was a female. She told me sahe ownede the car for the past 6 years and was getting married and wanted to sell it. I pestered my father for a week about how this car was not abused and ownd by a girl who took really good care of it and finally to shut me up he gave in and rode with me to see the car. We had arranged to meet Shannon at the Pizza Hut the following day (Sunday) to see the car. I was so excited when she pulled up because all I had seen was one black and white pic of the car and in color it was perfect just as she described. Then Shannon stepped out of the car in a tight cropped T-shirt and the shortest shorts she could find, she was the definition of a early 90's Miss USA contestant..She could have sold me and my dad a bicycle and told us it was a Vette and we would not haved thougt twice. .....needless to say Monday I had my self a new to me 1984 Corvette to drive to school my senior year. BTW on a side note that transmission was a 4+3 Doug Nash unit and actually had 7 forward gears 2nd 3rd & 4th had overdrives.
Update telling this story got me curious what ever happened to the girl that got full asking price for that Corvette. I just looked Shannon up on Facebook. She is still a pretty lady and apparently still married to the same guy. Here is the crazy part, I compared her to a beauty pageant contestant because that was my first thought when she stepped out of the car. Looking through her page I just discoverd her daughter was a former Miss Florida and looked exactly like her mother looked when we bought the car.

A few years late but there's also a yellow button inside the center console compartment that opens the rear hatch.

A friend of mine has a 1984 corvette they go alright for the year the thing I don't like and I have found in several 84 vettes is the roof part rattles and is a annoying as hell I'm sure if new rubber was put around the top that would fix and the digital dash goes dead on them and cost a arm and leg to get them if you still can

Wrong tire size! Watched this video twice because I think it's a great car and the work done on it looks good. Second time watching though, noticed there are 245/50R16 tires mounted. They should be 255/50R16. Speedometer is going to be off, as will the mileage. Those aside, the authenticity of the car as a historic vehicle is compromised.

I have that same model minus the red stripe. They started building them in Jan of 83 and only one is titled as a 83. The top is not easy to take off and is heavy. Mine has 34000 miles on it and is just as clean as this one.

the 84 with the cross fire engine was quicker off the line if you were to drag with an 85 with tune port injection but the 85 had a higher top end over all and I believes 5 extra horses at the time over the 84
The '85 TPI 350" with iron -882 heads and flat tappet cam was vastly faster than '71 - '84 carb'd or crossfires or later '86 & up TPIs with aluminum heads... the -882 heads flowed better... and iron didn't bleed off heat/HP... about equal to 1992 & up LT-1 'Vettes... th-cam.com/video/M9FwU9iUmfo/w-d-xo.html

Digital dash is ahead of its time for 1984.
In '79,Caddy had a digital dash in the Eldo,Olds Toro and Rivs.Then Lincoln in '80 Marks/Town ars.Even T-Bird/Cougars too.So by '84,they were not uncommon.

That 84 Vette has the wrong instrument cluster. Looks like it’s off a 85’-89’. The 84 was smaller digital numbers.

These were the times when Corvette looked GREAT! Sorry but the current 2020 and I think everything after the C5 were super ugly.
I was lucky enough to try a 35th anniversary model /white/ a few years ago. It was in perfect condition.
I know only 2 things about my life:
-One day I am going to day,
-One day I will own a C4 in perfect condition.

There are modern replacements that are really nice. Some using LED (if you want to stay digital) or a really nice Analog layout too.
GM made 100 of these 1983 vetts but scrapped all but 1 and that one 1983 vett in the GM Corvette museum but 1983 is officially reffered as a non production year.
43 were built and 1 survived. By luck as one was hid back and found later. Cool car for sure

Not true sir. They were made with both an automatic and manual transmission I’d know….I’m the Washington state corvette club owners President for the last 15 years. Incidentally? I’ve owned 11 corvettes. Many were of the 1980 era

That dash is not from the 84, it's several years newer. Still looks good though.
Rpm gauge was displayed slightly different on the 84 models..

That cracked me up. Reminds me of my second job working at a tire store. Every once in a while we would have some guy come in for a flat repair and they would have the little donut spare/ space saver spare mounted backwards so it was sticking out beyond the fender. We would look at each other and then say he must be an engineer and laugh.
Face's Corvette would fail California's emission test Texas does not bother to conduct emission test on antique vehicles people can take advantage of Texas flawed guidelines.
I pity the the fool that would own that 205 hp 350 chevy.

The top speed was much higher than 85 you look at the speedo which says 85 but the digital numbers goes to 3 digits
Top speed was limited at 150 from factory (at least for the 85) but yea considering the lack of horses I’d say you’re right about the mustang with 26 more years of engineering under its belt

My least favorite series, however it was the Face Mans Vette. The only exception...
The cross fire injection was garbage! They apparently hired white Corvettes for the filming and just applied the red decals as the original car broke down so much! So no real original Face man vettes. The later Tuned Port Injection models were a lot better!
