If Rebecca Black wrote a song about the NFL it would go something like: “The NFL plays on Sunday, the NFL plays on Monday, sometimes the NFL plays on Tuesday, it’s been rumored the NFL will play on Wednesday, the NFL often plays on Thursday, during a Blue Moon or Black Friday the NFL will play on Friday - but only on Amazon - at the end of the season the NFL plays on Saturday but sometimes only on Peacock, and in 2024 the NFL will play on Netflix on Christmas.”

2 bye weeks makes more sense than 17 games

This was my first thought after seeing these Wednesday Christmas games. Between the Thursday games, a 17 game schedule (that will likely get pushed to 18), international games, and now games on a Wednesday to play on Christmas Day which was never an NFL day before. The league needs to seriously consider having two bye weeks. The Steelers play the Eagles, Ravens, and Chiefs in an 11 day span. That kind of scheduling is absolute horse crap and should be pushed back upon by the NFLPA.
2 bye week is needed ... even without player injuries limited REST makes end-of-year games SLOW and Sluggish

As a non-American it mildly bugs me that I can't watch the Thursday game on Prime (not that much given the time, but)

The NFL is trying to kneecap them to create parity. They did it last season also with a historic stretch of 6 straight games with a rest disadvantage compared to their opponent.

It's like a boxer repetition, instinct and conditioning. They're not necessarily seeing each play, they're reacting. It all becomes second nature

Maybe add to the 53 man roster, maybe add an extra bye week. There are all sorts of solutions. Some teams or players can bounce back quicker than others. It's a roll of the dice

So, after the Lions win the Super Bowl in 2024, in 2025 they’ll have to play on Thanksgiving AND Christmas of 2025. (I’m kidding but only a bit. I think there are only a handful of teams who have a shot: Chiefs, Texans, Packers, Lions and Eagles. You may as well just have those teams play now and get it over with. But I’ve been arguing a great bet, at least last time I saw odds: one-third of your money each on Chiefs, Packers and Texans. The Chiefs at around 6-1 will more than cover your bet, and if the Texans or Packers win you’ll be partying in Vegas next February since their odds are longer than they should be.)
