- Hey everyone! Bit of a different video today! Pokeguy - the amazing Pokemon speedrunner - set a NEW WORLD RECORD for Pokemon LeafGreen / FireRed in the Any% category! If you are following my channel, you know that I am currently doing World Record attempts for a different Speedrun category, being FireRed Elite 4 Round 2 which ends after beating the 2nd more difficult round of the Elite Four. The Any% Speedrun ends when you become the champion for the first time, so after beating the Elite Four for the first round. I have speedran this category in the past and have also held the World Record in it for some time. Pokeguy absolutely pushed the boundaries even further with the first ever sub 2 hours speedrun of Pokemon Leafgreen. I was fortunate enough to be first to watch this run live on my Twitch as Pokeguy completed this run offline (he was not streaming). Be sure to checkout Pokeguy's channel as well over @Pokeguy!

Super random question at the end vs Lance he had to heal blastoise is their a way to switch starter heal turn 1 to avoid intimidate? (I know he has 1 pokemon ) but im saying keep the hm slave or whatever
The intimidate does not really matter. It lowers our attack, but we are only using special attack moves. We also set up the x-specials. Taking an HM slave with us, switching to it in a menu to have it first in our party, healing, dying and sending out Blastoise and the doing the setups would be a lot slower. Also you have an extra Pokemon when the Hall of Fame cutscene plays.
someone should make a mod where the old guy fails to catch the weedle and get attacked after. :D

Even the execution had luck so yea........ japan is gonna bring alpha andy out of the woodwork to beat his records one day but it sure has been a great time we had while it lasted!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy to see his fingers stopped hurting bc it was getting intense

I think you saw the livestream! Gunner does livestreams on both Twitch and TH-cam these days. The livestream was privated and then this video was posted today.
