This is a beauty! Nice work. I was recently rear ended on my '83 Magna, and it took some serious damage...still await assessment from insurance, but was already tossing around the idea of bobbing it out this winter! I would really like to replicate or have mine very similar to this, with a few of my own personal touches and style, but haven't a clue how or where to start!?! I really have almost no knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and/or fabricating to make it happen...
Im a Harley guy, but my grandpa had an 82 magma and my pops worked for years, we never could get it up in running but I want one now, too many memories
it looks like you took the original buckhorns and just bent them out to a reasonable position! I am prolly gonna steal that idea from you and how you did those exhaust tips too while I am at it!

I completely lucked into one of these bikes "('83 750) for free! It is in ok shape and runs like complete shit currently but the guy admitted to me that he attempted to rebuild the carbs on his own and has NO CLUE what he was doing. Fortunately I've been a mechanic for over a decade. I'll have this thing running perfect in no time. I've been searching the web for a few days trying to get ideas of what direction to go with it once it's running. I'm thinking this is what I'll end up doing. I will be going on long rides every weekend though so I'll just keep the suspension in the rear. But this is a great job!
You dont happen to have gotten it at a scrap yard just outside osceola Wisconsin a couple years ago did you? Dark purple with a good seat and hellfire windshield?
Brandon Crimmins Did you Build your bike? I just got a 83 VF 750 C and i want to rebuild it into something bobber like but also want to leave the rear suspension. Do you have any pictures of your bike?
Beautifull job! How long have you been riding it? Is the transfers case seems to crack or break with a rear rigid mount? Did you somehow locked the main swivel point to get a real rigid rear suspension? Thx!
Nice build man! What did you use to make the bike hard tailed? I was looking around at kits but they are all always so expensive. Did you just use tubing and weld it on?
hey Peter I'm building the same bike. I'm having problems with the stance I cut 1/2 inch off the kickstand but it still wants to fall over when I turn the handlebar yo the right did you you anything to yours.

would you mind giving a parts list and explanation on how you did them? I would like to something similar but with my own design twist. it would be much appriciated
Amazing Bob job. Thinking if doing the same to my Magna, but had a few questions. 1. How much time and money did you invest in this project? 2. What did you use to attach the frame to the suspension mount? 3. How does the new ridged frame affect the ride?
Dylan Strub 1. I don't know how much money and it was a one winter project 2. It is a heavy iron pipe 3. It takes some getting used to but it rides nice
Peter Doomen so just factory sizes, the front tire looks wider. I'm picking up a magna in a few days and want to make a bobber also. thanks for the reply

Hi Jon, the second fuel tank is removed and thats where I relocated the electric components
Did you lower your front suspension at all when you did this? Are they the stock front forks?
Hi Mitchell, yes I lowered the original forks about 4 cm
