I can't stand people that DON'T put hood pins on CF hood. I mean hell. It's a warning label right on the hood itself that you need them. Good work guys!
@@BrettL250 they do the issue is that even with it installed it’s metal bonded to carbon not as strong as metal latch bonded to metal hood in the factory so even seibon that comes with a latch still recommends hood pins

And when you talk to them they’re incredibly vague and unhelpful. Meanwhile I’m going on nine months without any hood latches. Granted I’ve only driven a few thousand miles with the hood but still. It’s should be done

when i installed these hood pins into my CF hood, i almost shat myself lol cutting into the CF hurt haha. but it keeps the hood down solid. and it looks good too IMO.

Will installing hood latches like these help with my hood gap? Recently installed a seibon CF good on my g37 and the hood gap in the front is atrocious
@@OfficialBoVice it could yo an extent, if you adjust it tona certain height. But if the gap is too big it probably wouldn't do much. Adjusting the factory stoppers didn't help?
@@antdo thanks for the response! Removing the center hood latch and spring does help a bit. I’m just wondering if the aftermarket hood latches would take care of the gap that’s left. Only one way to find out! Going to get latches installed regardless, it would just be nice to have a flush fitment
Haha too fckun lat to go back now...I'm gonna put these cheap O'Reilly ones till my aero comes in 2days..my celica s high speeds drove my nerves insane for those 2 15 minutes rides to pick em up...I am not screwing the plates tho...the aeros won't cover screws. Just let em hang off the pin and base...my anxiety just to put 2 holes is killing me nooooo

Why don't you drill the smaller holes from on top and drill bigger bigger holes to apply the nuts so you don't have that big ass square cut out

CF dust is no joke. Proper masks and vacuuming the excess dust is important during cutting.

Can you leave the OEM hood latch in and if so how do you open the hood?
Yes I left the OEM latch on. So I un latch the Aerocatch first then un latch it like any other normal hood.
So why wouldn't you seal the edges along the cut to prevent water intrusion?
