    1. Start a visualization practice in the morning
    2. Do your work before you respond to the world
    3. Schedule your priorities (block time)
    4. Set up some social rewards

Remove the TV and the smart phone from your life, when you do, you get unbelievable amount of time back, that's a discipline in itself, it gives you time to push towards the goals that you have.

"Discipline is remembering what you want." - David Campbell
And why you want it. We weren't born brushing our teeth everyday. Our parents kept reminding it everyday until it became an automated part of us. So since now our egos are too flared up to listen to our parents tell us something everyday, or anyone else too, we need to parent ourselves. I set reminders on my phone around lunch and dinner time to tell myself to eat healthy. It might not work initially, but it works after a while. I've got my phone to tell me things I don't want people to say or things I want people to say to me, but they don't. It works (:

Love the concept of caring more for others, which allows us to connect more! and being present! That's a big one! It seems people are so wrapped up in themselves that they don't take the time to be present in any given situation, personal or otherwise.

Three things that left an impression:
    1. Start each day with VISUALIZATION PRACTICE
    2. Get rid of the rule of randomness (make a schedule)
    3. Brain wants it heard-earned rewards
    Thank you Brendon!

This is one of the good videos to develop the habits of small things whether it is pertaining to your professional life or personal life. I divide the entire day into 2 parts i.e. BL & AL. ( before lunch & after lunch) and closing the things very effectively whether it is preparing an MIS or calling a friend. Your every action is under control of yourself which will help to achieve your goals. .. Stay disciplined & achieve a milestone. Thank you!

Why were there no teachers, mentors, and guidance counselors like brendon and Tony Robbins when I was in high school and college? No one was teaching this practical knowledge in my youth. I was just through the motions in the education system. The new generations have all the knowledge in the universe in their hands. Use this as a tool, not a toy, and implement what brendon is teaching here! Your future self will thank you.

Hi Brendon. Just feel like saying this and I'm sorry for the long post. In the summer I got diagnosed with HPPD/DP/DR. In short terms it means your whole life feels like a movie, you see visual snow all the time, headaches 24/7, don't feel any emotions with friends or family and so on and so on. Got really depressed and didn't see any purpose in life. On january the 1st I decided that it was time for a change. I started to work out, got a better mindset, ate extremely healthy and stopped smoking and drinking completely. I noticed small improvements every week, but the last month I got the feeling like standing still. I still worked out and lived the healthy life, but I wasn''t happy. The last week I got really into positive thinking, meditation, morning routines, motivation etc. I want to follow my dreams again haha. I want to make music for a living and play on large festivals and I really really want to help people with HPPD/DP/DR that don't know what to do or how to overcome it. Thinking about starting my own website. Not a lot of people know about this mental condition and there is no magic pill to cure it, so it's like my mission to help the people that suffer from this. I am not completely HPPD free yet, but I know I will when I continue this path. I just want to say thank you for making this kind of videos that will inspire me and other people! I really apriciate what you do and I hope you will continue doing what you do! Greetings from the Netherlands.

Hello Brendon I loved this video. I been watching you for about a year and a half and after quitting my job losing everything cars, bikes, house, wife, kids, and becoming depressed working through it building myself up i finally achieved my goal I finally got a job as a software engineer without a degree. Currently i am working from home on video games for a decent salary with nothing but dreams and hope for the future. With all this I learned I need to learn discipline and I have to say even just blocking my time is helping incredibly. I can now play guitar like I never thought possible and now I am looking to take this block time into the work day and just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you making these videos and inspiring me to chase after the charged life! Ps. I got the wife and kids back working on all the other stuff. It is a process but I am happy like I never imagined again thank you!
    Sincerely Jonathan Greene

    1-start a visualization practice(of the pay-off0in the morning
2-do your work before you respond to the world
    3-Schedule your priorities(block time)
    {it is the ONLY thing that happens in its block time. Schedule before-hand, don't depend on sudden will}
    4-set up some social rewards
{celebrate small wins along the way WITH OTHER PEOPLE if you finally achieved something that you've been working on for so long. Talk about the process, how it felt to finally complete this thing.
doing things in a DISCIPLINED WAY= doing things in a JOYFUL WAY

sometimes a period of hard time for example losing several loved ones (by a bad luck in a very short time)around , make a man feel like lost! Yes I lost my control but I have a pain that motivates me doing and acting more and being more thankful , efficient and inspiring for those who are still alive . I am growing Brendon. Thank you so much Brendon, sometimes I just felt so hopeless, procrastinating important stuff, exactly for the reason that it just didn´t feel worth it, and because I let it over to coïncedense too much, and even though I would tell myself oké I´m gonna be doing this from 14h till 15h, I still wouldn´t do it because I just couldn´t find enough motivation.. So this was super helpful to me. Because a lot of people tell me to plan, but they don´t tell you this stuff.. I have a feeling things ar going to be turning around for me since you shared this info!! Love you so much for doing this
I'm gonna start that paper now, and tonight I'll celebrate that it's done when my boyfriend comes home from work!!

Hi Brendon. It's my greatest fortune to find out your encouraging video on TH-cam. I watched a bunch of videos about time management and goal setting. But hardly any of them had given me a good impression.
Therefore I must thank for the sharing of your knowledge with world. It helped me immensely.
And I am 27 and don't have any main goals in life. I wanted to set a goal though don't know how ? So please if you got some extra time. Don't forget to leave a reply .

Exactly what I needed to hear again and I can vouch for the first point (lol, as If Brendon needs my validation :P) if you don't get your goal deeply integrated, you'll lose touch and you'll have to start all over again. Thank toy Brendon for sharing your genius with us all.

4th point is real gold..i do the first 3 things but somehow, I cant stay disciplined for more than a week. Like you mentioned I should start celebrating the progress I made towards my goals with PEOPLE. I did reward myself with some movie time or some gaming time. But it didn't include people. And it didn't help much to maintain my discipline in next weeks. But I can see how celebrating it with other people can reinforce my motivation & recharge me. Thanks a lot.

Disciplining myself to only reward self with social media, tv or browsing only after I've accomplished the tasks I've set up for myself to start or complete for the day. Saying "No" to the time bandits that sabotage my focus and productivity. Allocated mental health Monday to evaluate my week's plan of action, doing something that makes my heart happy, hobby, connect with friends or family or celebrate with an accomplishment with someone who can rejoice with me in the fruits of my efforts.

I connected with your idea of sudden will... I've been dependent on just that and now I can let go...

Think social rewards is a great thing to have. I've set up some personal rewards and haven't really worked hard enough to get them. I get close every week yet don't go across the finish line.

Everyone here including myself is telling the video was uploaded at the right time. but I think we never really knew how to get disciplined all these years. So that'll suggest that every time is a right time!

This helped me soooo much! I translated (Dutch) and wrote down the 4 steps and what they mean for me. Working on a thesis for my Master degree in Sports Physiotherapy.
