I"m a member of BDO British Druid Order and your videos has been highly informative as an addition stuff to my studies. I'd like to suggest a video talking about the celtic tree calendar an the wheel of the year. Well- informed people know they are Gardner and Graves' forgeries, but there're a lot of people newly arrived at paganism that take all these conceptions as truth. Thanks a lot.
I'm glad you're finding some value in my videos. That's not a bad idea. I need to think about how to approach it. I'm very busy with teaching Celtic mythology classes right now, so I haven't been doing new videos - but I will be back!
Hello Kris! I am so happy that I have found your channel. I, being a member of OBOD myself, appreciate what you do and enjoy watching your videos. Who are the modern druids? It is a good question I myself have been thinking about for a long time. That is why I find this video of yours to be a bit incomplete, but very well thought and accurate. Thank you!
Thanks for your comment. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. The entire topic of Druids is a lot to cover in a video like this, so I just scratched the surface. I suppose I think it's better if the modern Druids explain themselves, rather than me trying to do it from the outside.
Thank you for this breakdown. When I first began to delve into spirituality of this nature, I wondered at the groups that called themselves Druids, thinking to myself, "How can they claim to be actual druids?" Eventually I came to recognize that they (the reasonable and sane ones) don't - which led me to discover the educational and ecologically-minded aspects of modern Druidry. As an atheist, I find this approach to nature-based spirituality very intriguing.
Hello Kris 👋 I just found your videos on TH-cam (by chance, if such thing can happen ;)) and I just love the way to talk things through... no pretension, impartial , very grounded - just amazing!! Thank you! I would what are your thoughts about the Welsh Goddess Cerridwen 🙂 Thank you :)
I'm glad you find these useful. My thoughts on Cerridwen - gosh! She is the Mother of Awen - which is the poetic inspiration without which the bards could not produce their work. For whatever reason (I don't know) I don't personally have a relationship with Her, but what I've described is certainly what I understand of Her from Welsh story and culture. Kristoffer Hughes (no relation) has just published a really excellent book about her, which I highly recommend.
Lord-keeping: If this is (or should be) an important element of the druid vocation, then you certainly qualify. It is obvious that preserving the memory and better understanding of our old gods is a labor of love for you. Let me know when you start a druid order of your own; I will be the first to sign up. 😎
I know you mean **lore** but that made me chuckle! It is important. Unfortunately, what we need is young people to take up lore-keeping. I have lots of lore in my head, but I'm old. Where are the young people willing to dedicate their lives to this? And where is the society willing to support them in that as a lifetime pursuit?
Very good question to ponder.

I tried to be as objective as I could.

darn voice to text. darn me for going too fast and not double checking.
@@myfyrioleremiticus Don't worry. I'm the queen of the typos!
I love your book, From the Caldron Born!! On page 87!!
I think you've confused me with Kristoffer Hughes.
Where can I find out more about your books?
Two part answer: 1) Am I who you think I am? (Hint - I'm not Kristoffer Hughes)
2) You can find my books here: www.godeeper.info/chapbooks.html
