I am on month 6 after my son was murdered. I feel in the "normal" phases and I'm afraid that I will be here forever. I would understand why, not having my son living. Him missing out on his daughters life. I don't know how I will go on without just existing

My condolences. Very sorry for your loss. Six months is not very long after experiencing such a trauma. From a diagnostic perspective, Prolonged Grief Disorder would not even be considered until after a year. HOWEVER... I am hearing the intense sense of despair and hopelessness (which is totally understandable). Allowing a clinician, spiritual leader or victim advocate to help support and guide you may provided some much needed validation of your current experience as well as hope for relief in the future. The victim advocate program at the states attorney's office may have some useful local referrals. Often the crime victim's compensation program will help cover some services related to your healing process. As a mother myself, my heart aches for you.

It took me 6 months to mourn the loss of my 32 year marriage, when he told us about his secret life with gold digger, then he came back for me to take care of him during his last few months battling with pancreatic cancer, I did take care of him, and he passed away. It surprised me how much I am affected by this. I’m very angry still and cry a lot.
