At absolute BARE MINIMUM, the first incident of #94 repeatedly pile driving the QB into the ground warranted a Personal Foul, and the Late Hit Out of Bounds warranted a SECOND Personal Foul and an Ejection. I'd have been fine with them ejecting him after the first incident, but not ejecting him after both incidents combined is indefensible.

And while that rule might be stupid and misused, it was placed in there expressly for crap like this, where the purpose of the hit is nothing but to injure an important opposing player.
