Antonio Brown got an MRI on Monday showing he has broken bone fragments, a torn ligament, and cartilage loss. They put him on an extremely powerful pain reliever before the game that the NFLPA warns against using but clearly it wore off partway through the game. I side with AB I just don’t think he reacted correctly

It's called being, "off the grid." The reason this looks weird to people is because they're used to seeing players act in compliance with the NFL on the field. Think about this, have you ever seen someone walk off of their job because they weren't happy with their job anymore? This is no different. He's not happy with the situation and he left his job. This doesn't mean that he's crazy, it just means that he feels free to do what he wants. Why? Because he can. He doesn't care about the, "norm" as to how things are done. He does things, "his way." It always runs people the wrong way when you act out of selfishness but at the end of the day, in AB's mind it's about him and how he feels. If he's not happy with the situation then he has a right to walk off of his job, just as a union delegate can interrupt a companies business by calling a strike. Antonio Brown was independently contracted with the Buccaneers and he left his contract independently whether we like it or not.

I love how Pat was willing to subtly call out Rapoport on his bs. Look at all the info 4-5 days ago, he had a tweaked ankle and was day-to-day. The fact he was on the field, in pads, means that he was cleared to play. Outside of that, only AB and BA truly know what happened and they ain’t talking.
Well supposedly AB and Brady had an argument because AB wasn't getting as many targets as Gronk (and/or Mike Evans)
This led to AB having a meltdown during halftime.
A bit of clarification on these rumors would offer a ton of context and insight to what would trigger AB,

From what I’ve heard BA wanted him in and AB refused twice, which surely prompted BA to say some choice words most likely. I think BA saying “its pretty obvious what happened” eludes to AB being mad about not getting targeted enough and throwing a melt down tantrum /leaving the game in spectacular fashion. Same thing happened in 2017 during a 26-9 Steelers road victory over the Ravens, Brown became angry over not being thrown the ball by Roethlisberger on an incomplete play, and was filmed throwing a Gatorade cooler and yelling at coaches! ..Dude thinks he's the only player on the field!
Cute, but cleared to play does not rule out feeling pain during play and sitting out. People are acting dumb here. AB is a genius. He wanted to quit and he did it a great way. They are going to have to pay him out the rest of the season as if he was injured. No way around it. The NFLPA has to advocate for him hard because this has always been a contentious issue where players are convinced to play injured just so a team can cut them. That shady shit used to be way more common 15+ years ago. MIke Golic has talked about how he was conned into signing a paper saying he was healthy, only for the team to immediately cut him, but that was years ago.
On top of that, taking off his jersey was a big brain move. Had he done all this with the jersey on, the team would have gotten an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and it would have fucked over the offense who was on a scoring drive. Because he had no jersey, the refs could not punish the offense. Goodell even confirmed AB is not subject to any league penalties, AB did nothing wrong and that came straight from the NFL.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like all the stories combine really nicely, and that that’s probably the truth. He’s injured, his ankle sucks, but he was okay with sucking it up and playing hurt, except he wasn’t getting targeted like he was last week, and he didn’t want to run around the field on a bum ankle for what he sees as nothing.
I remember Skip Bayless saying right after they brought him back after the vaccine card thing that it was all going to blow up sooner rather than later, and dude was right. As soon as anybody tells AB that they really need him, guy’s ego turns into a hurricane. They say, “AB, we really need you,” and last week he gets, like, 15 catches for all kinds of yards, and he thinks he’s the man and that’s how it’s going to be, except Tom Brady’s whole thing is spreading the ball around and having 10 different ways to win, and his guys just have to get used to catching 12 passes and two touchdowns one week and spending next week blocking and distracting safeties with only two targets all game. AB was fine with it until everybody told him they really needed him to step up, tape up that injured ankle and be the guy, and he was happy last week being a rock star, but when balls are all going to Gronk, he’s on the sidelines like, “if you need me, then give me the ball.”
He wasn't injured at all. Every play he was moving fine with no favouring of it, and did you see him jumping up and down in the endzone as he was leaving? If not take another look, and tell me again he had a hurt ankle.

I just decided to look up AB and see what he's been up to. Tons of headlines from just the past few days about him briefly owning an arena league team and threatening his players with a gun. What a lunatic.
When the BUCS won the first Superbowl I was a kid. Sapp, Brooks, Barber...I caught the game but some girl had me chasing something that never happened. Bits and pieces of the game. The Second Superbowl I watched every play and my wife said she's never seen me so happy. Screaming drunk man in absolute joy....it was awesome. BUCS fans have had a lot of hard times but Tampa is my home and team until I die. Hopefully before I go the boys will win another one.

Honestly I think that hit combined with all the other hits he's taken since then have fucked up his brain, probably CTE as he didn't start getting really bad until years after the Burfict hit. Two major symptoms of CTE are impulsiveness and poor decision making, I don't think anyone in their right mind would act the way AB has these past few years, I think he needs help and needs to retire from football before he causes more damage

I know people bring up his previous history in High School and going into college ball, but still ever since that massive concussion hit he has had and potentially more later. He really needs to take care of himself, I remember seeing Brett Favre slurring his words and walking with a cane once he retired. His CTE really hit him hard, and since has gotten some general treatment for the symptoms.
It is a terrifying reality that CTE possesses especially in previous players who are no longer with us anymore.

the thing about an ankle injury kind of falls apart instantly when you consider how he was jogging off the field and looked fine
I don't know much about ankle injuries, but I'd imagine that jogging off a field puts a considerable amount of less stress on the ankle than playing in a professional football game. Injured might mean "not fully recovered" which would explain his reluctance to play if the story is true.
If he couldn't lightly jog, there would never have been a question of him being able to play or not.
