Xavier Rathan-Mayes shoots jumpers, talks smack, and reps his home country of Canada. Now, finally, after a year on the sidelines because of academic issues, Rathan-Mayes-a former youth league teammate of 2014 no. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins-is finally ready to make his mark at Florida State. He's Nice, straight shooter. First saw him in that FSU/UNC game like a week ago he was killin' them, splashin' 3s crossin' people, driving to the basket. I was like yo who is this kid he had people in the crowd throwin their hands up holding their heads in their hands he single-handedly brought FSU back but they couldn't get the W. & his mother is fine as hell, no disrespect.
Yea forreal, that was Wild. He was off the whole game then that 4-5 minute stretch he couldn't miss, he hit like every type of shot there is. He's been streaky this season but when he's on it's a wrap.

not to be rude. but the USA doesnt have a good youth program for these "events" like this. you aren't looking at the best in the usa. as a "team"
Its all regional. CIA Bounce is from the GTA(Toronto) not all of Canada. Just like any other team in these events, they make up there teams from a city, region, or state in the US.
lol yeah. and again. i say the same thing he isn't even seeing anywhere near the good teams in the usa half the really good teams have "barely" there budgets and there schools can mostly not go on any field trips
Well I dont really know what your talking about schools. This is AAU basketball not high school. Trust me there is alot of money for all the teams in these events. Big names like Nike sponsor them. If your good you'll be playing, Universitys want to watch these kids play to recruit them. Almost all the teams are from the states anyway so I dont understand what your trying to say.

MsTokies That article talked about how AAU basketball may not be teaching kids the right fundamentals such as defense and dribbling. Its questioning if AAU basketball is actually a good tool for players to develop in or is it just an offensive heavy showcace. No where does it mention that these aren't the best kids in America playing basketball, in fact it goes on to list some of the famous alumni ie. Magic Johnson, LeBron James, Chris Paul ect. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to say, but to say that these are not the best players in America at the high school level is a little off point.
