Experiment with food is fun as hell 👍 . This is an awesome way to keep the spirits and morale up while on a training program. Tasty food doesnt need to ruin the gains when you go creative like this. Excellent to grab one of these friday evening after a week of lifting knowing youre doing your physique a favor. Food and snack tips are great! Really enjoy em and so do the training buddies 👍👍
Will definitely try. Will use almond flour to lower the carbs! Broccoli rice is an excellent idea. Thanks for sharing the recipe and presenting in a simple and very entertaining manner!
@@Nayr090 did it last night without broccoli as a first step. It turned out pretty tasty but has a different texture from 'traditional' flours and was a bit heavier (therefore more filling but that is most likely due to the cheese). At least this my take. Next time may try coconut flour. At any rate it works for me.
@@PGproductionsHD to manage my insulin levels, lose and maintain a lower weight, avoiding overly processed foods... I found intermittent fasting and keto good for me.
@@Nayr090 I always make an almond flour crust pizza. It is awesome! I've made it with a cauliflower base a couple of times but almond flour is much better in my opinion. Simple. 3/4 c almond flour, 1 1/4 cup melted mozza, 1 tbsp plain cream cheese and 1 egg. Mix it all up into a dough and spread out on a pan. Cook at 400F for 10 minutes (poking the crust with a fork half way). Throw your toppings on and cook for another 6 minutes. I ate this nearly twice a week for 2 years. lol.
I just want to thank you for your entertaining way of presenting healthy food. You always make me laugh when you show your muscles. I’m far from a muscle guy but I appreciate your style. And your kid is so cute.
Broccoli has a better taste than cauliflower so def. gonna try. Also broccoli mash with lots of butter and salted to taste, taste better than cauliflower mash for mash potato substitute. Just sayin'.

Great pizza. However I recommend not using wax paper. After the pizza was baked with toppings and all the wax paper fused to the broccoli crust. I had to scrap it off with a fork. Still good but didn’t get to have that satisfying crunch. I’ll definitely try again
This is cool and all but... guys, you don't HAVE to make so many compromises just so you can eat something that remotely resembles a pizza every day. You can still have normal pizza in your diet as long as you eat it occasionally. You can eat pizza once a week NO PROBLEM whatsoever. I eat pizza almost every weekend and I don't consider it a "cheat meal", I consider it an enjoyable meal that is part of my consistent nutrition plan. That being said, don't eat thousands of calories worth of pizza on that day, be conservative with your portions. It also helps if you reduce your other portions of food throughout the day so you can enjoy even more slices of pizza without going into a huge caloric surplus.
Different strokes for different folks. I'm cutting hard at the moment and stuff like this looks like a fun way to mix it up instead of eating similar things everyday. My body balloons up from carbs very quickly. Other people might still be working on their self control and a real pizza might send them off the edge. It's nice to have the option.
Using almond/coconut flour or a cauliflower crust is a far healthier alternative without all the processed carbs you'd get in a regular flour. It is a great substitute with better macros.
Uhhh, 10g of protein (40 cal)+ 12g of carbs (48 cal)+ 6g of fat (54 cal) it's 152 Cal bros, and that's not low carb at all...but at least It has some fiber
That actually IS low carb, bro. Especially for pizza. 24g of carbs and 20g of protein in two slices? Sign me up. That’s like eating eggs and a small tortilla for breakfast
@@Jaymzzz1349 Hi, a small tortilla (30g) has 13.6 g of carbs si your're about right but i guess it's not that high but still 1/3 of your meal beeng carbs it's not low carb for me (if youre going for keto or something like that)
@@arkadarkus I have been doing keto for a year, and I have learnt that I can stay in ketosis at 2 mmol readings when having 40grams of carbs a day. So eating a couple of slices of this pizza and a beefsteak on the side is fine for me. Perhaps the reason why I can do this is because I only eat one meal a day. I could eat 2 slices of toast in the morning and still be in ketosis. 20g carbs a slice. Also, if your insulin is up from eating 3 times a day, then ketones will be restricted. Hence, eating less often is better, I guess that's why I can eat more carbs than expected as I don't eat many meals so my overall inulin average will be less than if I was continually spiking it. One thing to note is that meat has half the insulin spike of carbs, so if you're overeating meat throughout the day, this can lower ketones also. So you might be able to get away with more carbs if you swap meat for fat because fat doesn't affect insulin.
@@chrissowerby69 intermittent fasting is an entire digrent beast, and yeha if you're total carb intake dosen't pass the 10% if your daily calorie requirements you should stay un keto (about 62.5 g of carbs for a 2500 Cal intake) maybe it's not that bad even if your'e not doing intermitent fasting 🤔🤔
where is this pizza low carb? 12g carbs per slice. who eats only 1 slice of such a little pizza? if you eat the whole thing, u eat 96g carbs. are u kidding me right now or am i missunderstanding something?
The pizza is only part of a complete meal. Pizza should never be the entire meal. e.g. I would add a decent size salad, then a cup of fruit for dessert.
Well I mean it has broccoli as a base which has way less carbs than flour so comparatively, it's low. Also the whole thing is around 400 calories at Max, which is extremely low compared to regular pizza which is 1000+ calories
I mean... it's a convenient way to eat any extra broccoli that's lying around, and it's easier than just using dough. I don't see the issue here, I think people would honestly be more on board with it if it didn't say "low carb" in the title, which is silly.

Let us know how this works, I wanted to try almond flour to keep it low carb, but I I was curious to know if that affects it a lot

Do you think it would work if I heated up some of the frozen broccoli and blended those (instead of cutting heads off large brocolli pieces)?
