i think its crazy how much the rc technology has come from when i first got into it at 13 when i seen a touch screen remote was the coolest thing to me, now getting back into it with smart batteries etc is sick
Important: If you have a non smart battery, like 3s 11.1 volt 300mah, you need to push the enter button twice to activate in both menu screens. I don't think the manual says this.
This charger may have a problem or not. When I used it to upgrade the battery software on my G2 lipo Spectrum battery, the update failed and turned the software back in the battery itself such that the charger is now looking for the balance lead (the G2 battery doesn't have one), nor will the charger show the individual cell voltages (nor the Spektrum battery checker), nor will it initiate smart charging automatically anymore. Plus now I have no way of externally balancing the cells since nothing sees the individual voltages. The failed update seemingly has pooched the battery and frankly I don't know if this new battery is now safe to use over the long term....bummer
I had bene using this s155 charger with Spektrum Smart Lipos just fine and all of a sudden it started giving me the error "No balance lead detected" on some batteries. Slowly it started giving me this error on ALL batteries, even the Spektrum G2 series where there is no balance lead to plug in. Any ideas what could cause this? Thank you in advance!
Newbie here, Interested in the S155 G2 1x55W AC Smart Charger. My question is about charging a non smart battery using the S155. Seeing the S155 doesn't have a storage charge option to get the battery to 3.8 volts for a non smart battery what would I do to get the cells to 3.8 volts if the voltage is lower than 3.8? Would I have to visually monitor the voltage and pull the plug when it gets to 3.8V? Is there a way to get the battery to 3.8v using the XBC100 Smart Battery Cell Checker and the S155? Appreciate your help.
You use the smart settings on the battery to automatically drain to storage when unused. You can set how many hours after a charge before it got into storage. I usually do 72 hours or more. That way I have 3 days to use them before it starts to discharge. So after I use them, I charge them and let them drain to storage.
It's natural to be sexy, nice new release for newbies hreat review Tony, my smt10 King Sling just got super muddy on 4s hobbywing sensored brushless 4000kv max10 esc it's a wicked ripper time to do some mudd maintenance 😉👍
4s only??? with the technology now days, they should have at least added another 2. . to make it 6s with 5amp of charge. .that would be perfect.. I can't have too many chargers. . I think I will get the 6s. .

What happened to your SCX24 Gladiator video?
I was wrong about the links until the end. To much misinformation to leave up.
how do you charge an scx24 battery with this charger?
Will this charger shut off when the battery is full? Even with non-smatt batteries?
Yes. It won’t turn off the display. But it will stop when the cells reach 4.20

Nice affordable option. Traxxas better watch out.
Does it discharge nickel metal hydrides and Kenneth do storage charge for non-spectrum batteries?
I have an s150 this is hope this is not that much more.
