This is like when you go to high school and you decide you want a new identity so you start going by a nickname but all your middle school friends still call you your old name and make fun of you for trying to change because you think it’s cool but it’s not cool.

Not only did they dropped HBO from the name to only have "Max" now, but they also went from a unique, purple icon to a blue icon on everyone's smart TV. Its a huge downgrade! Netflix is red, Hulu is green, Prime is blue, Apple+ is black, and HBO Max used to own purple! Now it's just another blue one along with Prime and Disney.
Reminder that the official stated reason for removing “HBO” from the name is because people associate the HBO branding with quality and they didn’t want people to approach the app with that standard.

No seriously what was the thought process here? HBO Max subscribers just had the value of their subscription drop with some originals and content being taken off to accommodate discovery content. Discovery+ subscribers now have to pay way more for a bunch of content they likely don't care about if they subscribe to discovery+. They'd have been better announcing an optional yearly bundle that let's you save like 5 bucks a month.

In this world of never ending attempts by companies to make their own streaming service, you managed to break into that market, and become like in the top five streaming services. Sure, not everything was a winner, like that cartoon about Royal Family, or that dumb Christmas movie or whatever it was. But the good was certainly outweighing the bad, with an excellent selection of stuff to watch. It’s just such a heinous mutilation.
I just love knowing that I can watch The Batman and Little people, big world all in one app. That was literally my dream when I was a young boy. Thank you MAX.

It was time to watch Justice League Dark and surprise, it's missing. It was there before but now its gone. Every single other DC animated movie is still there, but this one got lost in the shuffle. It also isn't listed on the list of movies and shows that were cut. So basically, I can't watch this movie now that I'm supposed to have access to, because someone skipped over it when they were uploading everything into the platform.
New app on xbox is still as nonfunctional as ever. Shows freezing, stuttering, the app not saving my place, crashes, "we can't play this title right now" errors, the list goes on. And on the Roku version of the app, subtitles have literally been removed as an option, I have to use closed captions through the Roku itself. So long story short I'm glad you made this skit and validated my frustration😂
