Motor City Guitar FTW. Biggest pedal selection in the Midwest. Has to be seen to be believed. Marty and the crew are awesome there. FYI, Marty the owner, is a long time childhood friend of Dave Friedman (Friedman Amps)
I use these pedals without IRs into my tube stereo power amp w two Mesa 2x12s. Bloody amazing component modeling of these amps. This is more than a snap shot profile of these amps, it's every variation of these amps with tweakable deep amp params adjusting power amp, tone stacks, gate, od, rectifier, power supply xformer, and other goodies. The modeler for those who hate modelers, and their infinite black hole of params that seem to never end, having minute differences, cascading into an infinite tweak vortex. These pedals once you load up the app you can customize hard wired modifications to suit what you like in the amp. Like your own custom param Dumble or in this case the Dual Rec variants. Much easier to use and more options in an easy format, sure the preset thing sucks but the trade off is in the room amp tones of the best you have ever heard. Does not sound or feel like a modeler.
I’m super curious: using the Knuckles with a preamp into actual Mesa cabs, does it sound and FEEL convincing? How close is it to actually playing a Dual Rec into those cabs?
To be fair, it's not exactly supposed to sound like a dual rec, it's supposed to sound like a dual rectifier revision F. Which sounds quite a bit different than those after.
Cool video man! I like this pedal. People who don't like the sound of this pedal just don't like Rectifiers, which is fair enough but blaming it on the pedal is nonsense!
UA makes top notch stuff. I'm glad they're now offering their pedals in plugin form. For my purposes, the plugin is the way to go. Great demo, Jarrod. Then again, you could make a Pig Nose with a broken Metal Zone as a boost sound arena ready.
UA need to release the Roland JC 120 pedal next week and the Peavy Mace after that. Then they’ll do the line 6 Spider! So stoked! Can’t wait. Take all my hard earned dollars please.
Man… I wish this and the Anti (5150) had dual control over the high end that allowed to reduce the fizzy grinding highs and adjust maybe another different treble range control, for the more organic highs… I dunno, it’s like there’s no way to tame that, besides using better IRs. That did make a favorable difference. Way better!!! Thanks for the demo! For sure gave it some hope!
IR ‘s make a huge difference with most everything. The delay as well. I’m done spending but still enjoy hearing the latest. If you had to chose between the Knuckles and the Anti (UA 5150) ? I always liked Rocky George and Mike Clark from S.T. sound but never really gravitated toward the Rectos. That Dirty Tree still a handy tool.
Why do these companies always suck at cab emulation or IRs? Not bashing just UA but it's most pedal and modeler companies in general. Sounds killer with yours as always.
I don't know if anyone remembers the Hall of Fame reverb pedal... But it had a tone print function on the dial that you could actually load your own custom reverb... Don't understand why pedals like this don't have a similar spot on the dial, specifically set aside for your own impulse response.

Motor City Guitar is fantastic. Glad Jarrod has hipped us all to them. 🤘🏻
Yup your IR’s sounded way better killer demo bro🤟🏻
by far the best sounding video of this pedal!
@@atticuscrowley thank you very much!

I’m late to the game. How are they different, and which version is the more highly rated?

Thank you. Also, thanks for the help. I have to go get a Poweramp so I can try this kind of stuff out through a real Cab in the future.
I have two rectos and a few Marks. This pedal is cool but it lacks the depth of the thick low end when matched with a good OD pedal. IMO
This thing really does sound badass.

Thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate that.

You still got that date with your hand tonight?
Actually, sounding like a "Trainwreck" would be pretty cool too
If they can make a Trainwreck even in the same ballpark as the Ethos TWE-1 (and maybe other options) I’d be first in line!
Spice up the clean channel playing for these demos!

Your sound guy or you daw do that for you just like a mic set up …

Where did the MT15 go?
I still have it. It just wasn't in the frame
I could buy an MT15 for almost the same price as this amp. I am saving for the MT15. I have a Fender Mustang thats good but I want the MT15
Sound is getting clamped so hard (collapsing) in this demo? You can hear it getting clamped really bad. Like at least a -3db reduction @_@
Sounds great ! Do you if your NAM Capture Pack works in the NAM plugin app ?
Thank you. And to your question, I don't see why my captures would not work with the plug-in app.
Sick shirt
You saved some $$. Thank you, brother. Def, not a shameless plug. 1. Gotta eat, right? And 2. They sound awesome. Get your hearing checked, HA!!!
Haha thanks for watching and commenting
they already release several amp and effects model is time for a desktop pp
Has all this killer gear and then plays through a Line 6
Don't like it. In every review it sounds too saturated a grindy and not in the best of ways. Same things with the 5150 one they made
Omg exactly spot on. I totally agree.
my problem with Universal is the focking app in the phone
It doesnt have the thump and chug that my recto has. Without that this is a pass.
It's funny how your IRs sound better than UA's "not IR" but supposedly accurate speaker modeling!
Why do these companies always suck at cab emulation or IRs? Not bashing just UA but it's most pedal and modeler companies in general. Sounds killer with yours as always.
The money this costs and not being able to load your own irs is a joke tbh.

Would rather buy this than an actual dual Rec. I don’t have $2000 sitting around for that.
