Wow, that is so cheap! Great way to save money and every time I stay at a hostel, I meet amazing people and am inspired by their travel plans. I often learn about fun things to do and see, that I never would have known about. I can usually find a guesthouse near Khaosan for 300 baht or less. For that price you have a private room with your own bathroom, shower and free wifi. If you just spend a morning checking prices on Soi Rambutri and the side streets near Khaosan, you can find some amazing deals, if you prefer more privacy.

I stayed in a highly rated hostel in London which cost 10x that and was much, much less nice. And I was unlucky, so it was one of those recent summers with 30+ degrees (and certainly no aircon in a London hostel). This place seems quite reasonable. The only real challenge is noice, but foam earplugs are not terribly uncomfortable once in a while. Thanks for the tour and review! I'll probably never stay there, but it's always nice to know such a place exists as a fallback. Heck, I've booked a hostel fallback in the past even when I had other plans... because it's much nicer to sleep in a hostel than in a train station!
