I got an old 4324 with the old makita logo, from my place of work as it wasn’t required anymore and it all still works great. Another lad got a 4327 and that still works as well
Dean happy new year, am subscriber and have been watching your videos, can I just say you are a genius how you repair all these power tools, very clever and talented person, I am on the other side of the world in Australia, but if I was in your country I would have loved to work with you to repair all these power tools
It’s strange Dean, but when I just pull things apart like that I usually find the manufacturer has included several spare parts which won’t go back in!?!? 😱
I know you're a busy man but i wanted to ask your opinion on Flex power tools. Not sure if they sell them in Europe. You are definitely someone i would trust their opinion on the subject
They do not only 'sell them in Europe' - Flex is a German brand and company which is more than 100 years old and in fact that is why so many people use 'Flex' synonymous for grinders, as they were and are pretty famous for these product lines. Flex are good tools, they are just not as 'universal' as the big brands when it comes to selection. Nothing wrong with their grinders and related tools. They do belong to a chinese Holding for quite some time now but that does not mean it's bad chinese quality.
@@markusdd5 There seem to be two Flex tool companies now. One is the good old Flex from Germany with grinders and polishers dressed in red. I think what he is talking about is the Flex that sells many different power tools in the US dressed in grey. Don't know if they are the same company. They seem to be very powerful, but don't know about durability and reparability.
Nice work! Happy New Year! Look forward to what you have coming. By the by, does your main store carry Makita 18v right angle drills? (DDA351 or similar) If so, are they made in Japan? Curious cat here...
I ask because I inherited one, and also work at a retailer in Oz that carries Makita tools, including this one. A spot check reveals that *all* of them that we have in inventory are made in Japan.
