25 Times Big Hero 6 Referenced Other Movies

Big Hero 6 contains a lot of big hero references from other films. After being out for nearly a decade, avid fans have noticed some pretty cool movie easter eggs that made their way into the film. And not just from Disney and Pixar, but from other large, famous movie franchises as well. With the new series Baymax coming out soon to Disney Plus, we thought it may be a great time to look back at the awesome secrets that lay hidden within the film Big Hero 6. We’ll look over references from films like Monsters Inc, Iron Man, Wreck-It Ralph, Wall-E, Zootopia, The Incredibles, Frozen, How To Train Your Dragon, Tangled, Lilo & Stitch, The Matrix, The Iron Giant, Back To The Future, Bolt, Chicken Little, the Disney short film Feast, the anime Pokemon, Oswald, japan’s Ultraman, Doctor Who, Mazinger Z, Power Rangers, Gundam Wing, and more! Of course as a young boy who invents robots to save his city, Hiro’s room and lab contains tons of references and easter eggs, as well as Fred’s mansion, when you have a lot of money, you can afford to keep tons of movie references too! I can't remember what movie its referencing, but when Baymax goes over the top of the bridge without power and starts falling, that's another reference.

I found it. There's a scene in kung Fu panda 3 that looks literally exactly the same. IDK if it's a reference but it is almost exactly the same. I was just watching my movies and found it so I came back to this comment 😂

The actor for the guy in the hideous zipplle back costume (Been a while since I saw the film) is the same actor as the one who plays Tuffnut (one of the main zipple back riders) in dragons, race to the edge. so that's a neat touch.

a good bit of these are very far stretched, and that ship from wreck it Ralph doesn't even look similar at all. also, that dragon looks nothing like the one from how to train your dragon 😭, and the picture isn't aarondale, it's just a mountain, it's not even facing the right way

Time to disconfirm some things cause yes. Hiro is a jenuine name in japan and countries with similar laungages and arent connected from my knowlage. The chicken head isnt really related to chicken little i mean in the back it looks like a cube is cut out of the sky like how the sky falls in chicken little.
The "pokeball" isnt a pokemon refrence its just a window. The lines and circle in the middle are designed to let the center open Its actually pretty common but its understandable since the pokeball is a well known icon and im a bit of a nerd. The wall-E one is a bit of a stretch... thats all i have to say on that one.
And thats about all the ones i know of.

I think the zootopia references are a stretch Fred is a huge nerd and there is a famous or somewhat famous anthropomorphic Japanese rabbit samurai comic book out there that Fred would definitely have his hands on called usagi ujjimbo and the cute little fox phone case I think it's just a cute little phone case that fits Honey lemon
