    As of this past fall I’ve been able to use ktuners app tuner view on my iPhone. I think there is an update they pushed out around that time. Great video 👍🏻

    Great information between Hondata and Ktuner for Civic SI, Accord, and Type R. 😁👍

    Careful adding to much power to these 1.5 engines, I have seen reports on the internals bending and or breaking. Weak connecting rods, crankshaft and small/narrow bearing journals not designed for excess torque especially. I totally get wanting more power, just be careful.

      Bro! Lol There’s nothing wrong with Hondata, I used it for months and loved it. I just think the traction control is a little better with the Ktuner. If you’re eventually gonna do custom tune I think you’ll be perfectly fine. Good luck on the Intercooler and charge pipes, that’s a good upgrade for these cars.

    I have hondata. I've switched from FK7 to FC1 with hondata. I just had to reflash my FK7 back to stock and unlock it, then just threw it in my Si. It's cross-compatible to other honda platforms. Just requires you to reflash the car back to stock and be unlocked before using it on another honda platform.

    • @lui.racing
      @lui.racing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe I should have been more clear, I believe you’re right, you can take a Hondata Flashpro from one 1.5t vehicle to another with the same 1.5t but you can’t take it and put it on a 2.0t platform such as an FK8 civic or an accord
      Where the Ktuner, you can do that.

    • @yosammy1746
      @yosammy1746 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lui.racing I just confirmed with the hondata guys. It's cross-compatible as long as there are base tunes for it and is unlocked from the specific vehicle. The flashpro can go as far back as 2006 Honda S2000. There's a whole list of them in the FlashPro Manager.

      I don’t think there’s any sensors in the engine that gives engine oil temp,
      You’d have to add an oil temp sensor, I could be wrong but I’ve seen guys add that sensor to their Type R when they tracked the car. I imagine you’d have to do the same for this car

    • @lui.racing
      @lui.racing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’d personally do Ktuner first and then do mods. You can do intake and Intercooler and still see some gains, but Ktuner and Hondata are going to give you that power bump you’re looking for. Then once you get the upgrades and do a custom tune, you’ll really be taken full advantage of your upgrades
