Mboya was killed by Jomo Kenyatta and there is no need to twist history by looking for Russia behind which you want to hide for your national guilt. Even Mboya was not unaware of the local threats to his life from Jomo Kenyatta's court in the later days of his life.

Tom Mboya wasn’t a Luo but had Luo influence around him, he was groomed to overthrow Kenyatta by the CIA, but also Russians were not fond of his politics. Kenyatta had genuine fears to be overthrown as many other African governments had fallen under the CIA scheme….It is a mystery to exactly know who killed the blue eyed black Kenyan Tom Mboya.
