Great Video man… I liked it so much I picked up a set for my 21’ Street Bob. I bought the lift-kit from “ Dean Speed Customs “ here in the states…. Those guys were cool as hell. ( The owner actually rides a Street-Bob ). He machined the brackets so the existing stock bolt fit seamlessly….. NICE 👌. A few bucks more than other companies that make them, but worth it ✅ I just did the install today - What a F**kin Difference !! Bike looks tuff as hell now.…. This DEFINITELY gives it a Beefier Look. A buddy told me it also helps the bike run a bit cooler due to the increased air flow around the Motor 🤔…… Sounds like a good deal all around ✅ Haven’t ridden it yet, but I’ve been in that Garage 6 F**kin times already just staring at it 😆⁉️ Thanks again for Posting- EXCELLENT VIDEO 💯% ❕❕❕
In my opinion, it is all about the Profile of the Motorcycle or Car that you are customizing. Even though the tank lift is "just a little thing" you did to your Bike, it makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD" as to the overall look of your DYNA. Very nice!
Dumb question but does this have any side effect on the bike? I have been speaking with a guy that said it effects fuel gauge precision 🤔 Looks amazing honestly
Hello Mister Kiwi Rider, I am curious about fuel capacity after lifting the gas tank, Increased or decreased ? FXBB has small gas tank, any changes could affect riding range.
@@roshambro ah, I've got it, you've mistaken me for Alan from Christchurch, I'm Bruce from Dunedin 👍 Both handsome guys though, I can understand the confusion 😉
it's the H-D Bevel seat. The button feature wasn't good quality when I got it but someone suggested that they had improved the construction in more recent times.
@@MisterKiwiRider yeah bit of quick reading and I see the reserve light will come on a little quicker also harley guages are notoriously unreliable. How often do you let it get down to the light coming on ?
Cheers. Yes, due to the fuel hose being central on the tank I've lost a bit of fuel space which is now below the hose level. The fuel guage seems to be functioning fairly well still and reads about 20km below what it was at the stock position when full. What I gained in a custom look I lost in fuel miles but I'm good with that at this stage 👍
Do those laughing faces suggest a certain element to your character? Everything I do to this bike is an experiment based on my own preferences. If I lose kms (which, believe it or not, I have taken into consideration) it's on me with eyes wide open 🤘
@@EaglesNest-qu9to I'm currently in a testing phase, seeing how it does affect the fuel guage and mileage. It'll give me something to report back on in the future 🤘

Thanks for that tip. Did you get the 2" or 3" from deans?
Definitely a better look with the tank lifted brother, like you say it gives it that home built look, well done👍😎
Appreciate that Nigel, cheers!
Does look better with the lift. Looking good.
Looks great. I’ve done the same on my sportster. Going to do a wire tuck next..
Awesome! We're going to do a wire tuck on Relle's Sportster soon too :D

It's not a Dyna, but it looks similar.
G'day Bruce, Looking good. Just a small mod, but the outcome looks great. Cheers Paul
Cheers brother :D
Nice work Bruce small mod for great effect 😎🤙🏻
Thanks Bert 👍

A little I suspect but I've never had any noticeable issue 👍
It really does look better. 👍
Thanks Big Kev!
Awesome, thanks for the help.
Hello Mister Kiwi Rider, I am curious about fuel capacity after lifting the gas tank, Increased or decreased ? FXBB has small gas tank, any changes could affect riding range.
@@silverrambo1508 I noticed around 10 to 20km range deficit with this set of risers
@@MisterKiwiRider Thanks for reply. I'll think about this mod to my Street Bob.
By raising the tank, does it effect your gas pouring into the engine?
It did not seem to
@@MisterKiwiRider awesome
Looks awesome with the rise Allan! When did you get rid of the night train?
Cheers, Rowan
I'm wondering if you've mistaken me for someone else Rowan? I've never owned a Night Train
@@MisterKiwiRider I thought you did on the hope ride last year? Possibly confusing myself here 😂

Thanks Rave :D
Looks much nicer mate👍
Appreciate it V6!
Looks great!
Which Seat is it?
I‘m looking for my Standard for something like yours.
it's the H-D Bevel seat. The button feature wasn't good quality when I got it but someone suggested that they had improved the construction in more recent times.
Definitely better lifted, I reckon you could go another half inch to an inch even. 😉
I think you could be right. I'm gonna sit with this for a bit though, just to see how its affect on the fuel gauge etc.
@@MisterKiwiRider yeah bit of quick reading and I see the reserve light will come on a little quicker also harley guages are notoriously unreliable. How often do you let it get down to the light coming on ?
Hi Bruce love the look, did the rise change the way your fuel gauge worked or your range?

What bars do you have on your street bob?
14 inch chubby Wild1inc bars
ALWAYS cover your tank when working on the bike !!! I was biting my nails throughout !!!
With the 2 inch rise. Like you said, "the lines just flow"
Cheers brother :D
What did you do with that wire box underneath?
I just left it, with the intention of doing a wire tuck at a later date
@@MisterKiwiRider looked like it was gone in the last pictures
@@MrHornm12 I see what you mean. Nothing was removed but the tank lift did open up the space under the tank
Turned out good :-)

Nice suits the bike
