Hey Robert,as for myself I’ll hunt the ground or in one of my loc on’s.Doesn’t matter.Enjoy them both.I’m 67 years old and if I was scared of climbing,I wouldn’t do it .Doesnt bother me at all.Now I’m using the same type of harness and feel 100% safe wearing this.I’m not setting up as I head in but getting in already hung loc on’sEach stand has a HSS safty line and I’m never unattached to the line. The harness is out of the way and for the most part I forget I have it on. Now if anyone wants to see this type of harness in action,go to TH-cam and look up Black Diamond Mod Harnesses.Has couple guys falling out and jumping out of there stands.Good hunting brother.
One of the biggest problems with a harness, is the ability of keeping blood flow going, if you’re hanging and can’t get back on your stand/ladder. Your weight, in combination with the leg straps, can cut off the blood flow in your groin and legs. That, in itself, can cause big problems. That’s why I suggest a harness, that allows you to get into a sitting position, when you’re hanging. Doing that, will allow you to maintain blood flow going to your legs.
I really enjoy your videos, RC. I’m curious about the climber situation, sir. I know you’re a huge fan of the Summit open shot, but I seem to remember you had sold it? Will another open shot be in your future? Or perhaps the XOP Reaper, or their soon to be released ultra light version? Glad to know you’re back in the trees! Keep on grinding, Sir, & never stop sharing your Faith in Jesus.
Crossed over to the dark side (ground) years ago. To me the challenge draws me not necessarily the kill. Next, I’m an old geezer and don’t care for carting in and out so much stuff. Of course when asked why I hunt on ground, I simply answer the critters need every advantage they can get! 😉😂
Safety is why I started saddle hunting. I like it , but I need a comfortable saddle. I think I will try his saddle because it's2 panels and my friend loves his 2 panel saddle.
How hight are you going up the tree I have a 14 ft ladder stand an the deer are spotting least movement I make I could add 4 more ft to it would that be enough?
@@robertcarte95 I have a large tree back cover and have a thin ever green to my left I had a fawn that came that way right to my stand but if they come in front of me I can not blink a eye I don't have many deer but they look up a lot like they Rae looking for something I am some how going to be more careful thanks for the comment
Just make sure double check everything on a reguler basis. I had one fail 2022 and broke my back. Titanium rods and 6screws later i still hunt from tree but man taking 5 min to double check is better than a helicopter ride to spine brain trauma center. Keep wacking and stacking😊(not this brand of safety harness for the record)
Thanks for sharing. Good info tickled me the way Daisy was striking poses.JIK
Regardless of how you do it, I am happy to see you confident, comfortable, and elevated again. God Bless you brother Robert.
Ms. Daisy just sitting there so proud. It’s like she’s posing for the camera. Fine looking dog. Good video RC.
She be looking better than Old Yeller!!!

This year I’ve been using my saddle in the same manner as the Tactisaddle harness out of my stand. I definitely feel safer this way.
Hi, Robert John Tucker makes great harness and saddles. I have been using his harness since he started making them.
Thank you friend for sharing your ideas and experiences. The harness is good, but I prefer the Zaro.

Good information on this safety harness. I am pretty comfortable with my HSS harness, but I am going to check into the Tactisaddle.
Excellent! Thank you! I will be getting one to use with my climber.

The season don't go out here until February 10 so I have about 5 more weeks to try to get one
Daisy May approves of this harness
Hang your stand from the top stick. Keeping the tether and lineman’s belt always connected.
Once on stand- remove the lineman’s belt
love it
Watch the playback. You were putting Daisy to sleep! She's a goodun.

@@noahsmith8988 I seldom go higher than 15 feet. I try to get in some sort of cover. Must have back cover as well.

Looks like a rock climbing harness. But I’m open to a different tree stand harness.
Good Stuff
I have that harness they are perfect I will not leave the ground without it
Saddle hunters are mostly fade chasers. There are far too many negatives to saddles to attempt to deal with. I'll stick to the lockon.
This is a rock harness style not a saddle.
