***UPDATE TIME*** So I finally had the chance to give the spinning reels a fair shake at the local lakes a few times and I have to say I am very impressed with the reduction in line twist. I had no issues with line twist or big wind knots on the 2 trips I have taken. I will raise my rating to a 4.5 *
@@1Cast1Fish Got it today. got 2 baitcasters and a spinning reel done in 20 minutes. bonus i caught a smallie, largemouth, and a pike this evening. Great product i highly recommend it.
I use the Piscifun Line Spooler, and it works well on my baitcasters and spinning reels. I think you'll find it does indeed do a good job of minimizing line twist on a spinning reel.
Glad it was not boring....I try my best lol. If you really want one I have a link in the description. I am looking forward to seeing how the spinning reels do on the water now....that's the true test of this product IMO
They are used for different sized line spool holes. You can use those to hold the spool instead of using the attached bushings like I do in the video. I personally don't use them much, since I feel I get more tension by putting the spool directly into the arms as I do in the video. The only downside is the bushings on the arms will wear a bit quicker....hope this helps
I may have to pick one of these up. Its been nasty down here in NC and haven't been able to do much fishing. I'm itching to get out and am probably gonna hit the surf tomorrow morning for some whiting or puffers.
Some say yes and some say no....honestly I have not noticed a major issue or difference on bait casters. However I do like to keep the line in line with the roller and such on spinning reels.
That would have been nice to have had 40 years ago. Because at times I had to go to the river with a pencil bobber with several bearing swivels, play out all my line and slowly real it back in several times to get rid of line twist!!
Been there before, so I feel you there. This is my 1st time ever trying this thing, so I am excited to see how the spinning rotor worked to eliminate line twist.
Thanks a ton....feel free to share it if you liked it and thought it was good. I was pretty impress by it so far, very well built and seems to lay the line smooth and tight.
*Is that a Billy Bass in the background. I had one of those in the day. Great review. You are doing a fabulous job on your videos and channel. You are such a talented creator. Thank you for all your help on my channel. I so appreciate it. I would not be where I am today, if it wasn't for friends like you. We are in this together.*
Thank you so much...I love your channel too, you guys have grown a ton as well. And YEP that's a old school Billy Bass from McDonalds….give me that fillet o fish...give me that fish
Great review! I have never seen one spin while loading the line on the spinning reel. I definitely curious to see your results and opinion on that! Take care man!
are you putting the line on the baitcaster wrong. i thought the line was suppose to go on the real the same way it comes off the spool ,witch would be from the top of the spool ? piscifun showa it both ways on there site .
I tend to do it this way since the line comes off the spool more in line with the reel spool. Honestly with bait casters, I do not think it will matter....I have had no issues either way. I believe most issues come from cheap line and not reconditioning the line every so often.
i have a piscifun reel that is ok so I ordered another one the same exact reel that one jammed up and was total junk the first day I used it . After that I only have been using penns btw saw you on BNO
mine is apparently much smarter than me. Spooled up my Penn 113n just fine... the SaltX 6000 is where this Rube Goldberg device or maybe it really was designed by Torquemada? Not giving up... yet. ;)
Awesome review brother and looks much easier than the spool spinning and flying all over the floor lmao. Can this hold any size reel? I do have some massive surf reels and this would make spooling much faster and less tiresome.
I would suppose it should, mine are normal sized reels, but the 600 yard spool of line fit fine. There is plenty of room for a bigger reel though it look like to me
Yeah 4440 may be a bit much, lol. I will say though that the spooler definitely helped with line twist in my spinning reels....now everyone at my work is borrowing it to do theirs...lol
One problem with the way you spooled the line on to your baitcaster. You want the line coming off the top of the spool instead of from the bottom so that the line is coming off the spool the same way onto your reel. This is how you get line twist on your baitcasting reel, but if you do have the line coming off the spool the right way, then you get uneven line laydown because of the height and projectory of the line entering the reel. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
I can see you spool alot of reels, like you said there are pros and cons to both ways...I normally go this way since I use high quality lines, so I prefer a even spooling...line twist is not much of an issue for me....I also use line conditioner.
You do a great review, seemed to the job pretty good though and l have to say l was pretty slack on doing this LOL. Loved fishing and did so much of it over the years, l must say l always managed to catch something or l was always just lucky.
@@1Cast1Fish Love it actually and my boys make a point of taking me out fishing when l go and holidays with them as they know that l love it. About the only time these days l do get to do it.
Braid does help, and I use plenty of it, but many of my rods have fluro and mono on them as well based on technique. Plus I fish a lot of clear water and my comfort level is with clear lines.

thats awesome i just ordered this.
Awesome let us know your thoughts after spooling a few reels

I always enjoy listening to reviews. I met you on Kohl's live. Very nice to meet you.
Thank you a ton...good to meet you as well
Improperly spooled spinning reels have messed up line for too long. I like how this addresses this problem, along w/ a fair and unbiased review.
Hey it worked pretty well IMO...well worth it for anyone wanting to give this thing a try
good video. mine came with adapter bushings ....not sure how to use those.
You can use them to help hold the spools...since some have bigger center holes that others.
I use the Piscifun Line Spooler, and it works well on my baitcasters and spinning reels. I think you'll find it does indeed do a good job of minimizing line twist on a spinning reel.
That is what I am hoping, if it keeps away line twist, it will be a winner in my book
Honestly I thought this was going to be a little boring, I watched the whole thing great job man I'm going to be picking one of those up
Glad it was not boring....I try my best lol. If you really want one I have a link in the description. I am looking forward to seeing how the spinning reels do on the water now....that's the true test of this product IMO
Can you help explain what the 2 bushing are for? Didn’t see you use them in the video

One thing that confuses me is this… should you set up the line spool with line coming off the TOP or BOTTOM of the line spool?
Either is fine with baitcasters IMO, with spinning reels though I like the line coming off the spool at the same level as the bail roller if possible.
I may have to pick one of these up. Its been nasty down here in NC and haven't been able to do much fishing. I'm itching to get out and am probably gonna hit the surf tomorrow morning for some whiting or puffers.
It has been nasty for us lately to, hence no new fishing vids....good luck if you get out
Does it matter if the line is coming off the spool clockwise or counterclockwise?
Some say yes and some say no....honestly I have not noticed a major issue or difference on bait casters. However I do like to keep the line in line with the roller and such on spinning reels.

and a lot of great beer behind you! lol Nicely done and can't wait to get out on the Chesapeake in April to do some Striper fishing! Cheers!
Gotta love the beer tank...lol I can't wait till April myself to take a shot at some of the big ones coming into the bay.
@@1Cast1Fish exactly!
Nice video. I've thought about a line spooler for years, this looks like a winner.
We will find out when I test the reels on the water. It put the line on the spool nice, but the real test is how well it helps prevent line twist.

Yeah that's the big thing I am waiting for as well. If it did well with the spinning reel, then it is definitely worth the money
That's a pretty cool looking line spooler. Well done with the demonstration
That's kinda cool watching it line that spinner reel! I'd be interested to see if that gets rid of those wind knots!
Yep that's what I am waiting to find out too...hope to get out soon and give it a whirl

Great gadget to have at home. That looked so easy. Thanks for sharing with us.
It did make things a bit easier, the real test is how it did on the spinning reels once I get them out on the water

Yeah that's the real test I am looking forward to, trying those reels out and seeing how they perform afterwards now.
Great review brother, Bulk is the only way to go. Looking forward to the update!
It did work very well, I am super happy with this for my spinning reels
Nice straight forward review....Easy light tackle spooler!!
Yeah it worked pretty well, not exactly mind blowing, but it did well and I am interested to see how the spinning action helped with line twist.
mine is apparently much smarter than me. Spooled up my Penn 113n just fine... the SaltX 6000 is where this Rube Goldberg device or maybe it really was designed by Torquemada? Not giving up... yet. ;)
You gotta get the spinning motion of the line spooler to match the spinning speed of the bail...that helps
That is a neat product. I will check back I wanna see what happens! Great video bro!
I look forward to testing them out on the water myself, if they do well, then it's definitely worth the money IMO
Awesome video! Nice product and review!
Thanks a ton Marshall
Nice review. I believe we met on Kohl outdoor live. I left a like 👍🙂
Line will definitely lay better when reeling line on the SAME DIRECTION it came off the spool. Common sense. There’s truly a learning curve here.
Never stop learning
That reminds me to buy some new line
Gotta keep the line fresh, I change mine out 2x a year.
