    Please recheck this documentary, JAMAICA medal count is 84 [45 gold, 23 silver, and 16 bronze], not 44 as mentioned in this documentary. Please make the corrections and repost.

      @caribbeanfocussports360 the games need to start posting the number of athletes and event each country competed in. The reason jamaica has 84 medals is because they have multiple athletes in every event at the game. They are also the most populated. Yes they are talented, but a fair assessment in placement should be determined by a ratio. The number of events completed vs. Events won. That should determine the rankings per country

    Great.
    However, if you listened to how the athletes names are pronounced by the consummate Ricardo Chambers in the stadium, it should have aided yours.
    You did not pronounced some correctly thus making it weird to listen.
    People are very particular about how their names are pronounced.

      No different from the Olympics...when Jamaica dominates the sprint events on the track...the USA is quick to diminish our performance by saying they have more medals. Like DUH!! We don't participate in half the Olympic events so obviously we're not going to win the medal count.
      No different here... it's all about the participation plus we usually have more than one athlete in a race while most counties just have one.

    • @michaelblake1427
      @michaelblake1427 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@WendyPendy26 And whose fault is that, for just having one athlete in a race?
      In the heats every country/ island that participated in that particular event has more than one athlete participating. To make the finals is a different matter. So, if Jamaica has more than one athlete in the finals, that is solely due to how great we are!!
      2009 IAAF world championship, Jamaica had 4 females in the final of the women 100m; that was 50% of the female finalists in the WORLD!! And of course in previous Olympics and world championship, we had 3 women in the 100m finals; they finished 123. That's how GREAT we are.
