I’ve tried Tommy’s setting countless numbers of times but I never got comfortable with it. Truly a matter of personal preference and individual skill that can’t be replicated.
I'm happy this video fell into my feed cause I was admittedly very curious to see if there was anything I could use. I've been trying for years to get aiming to feel smoother but I just haven't managed to get it to feel as smooth as I really want it, seemed like no matter what I tried I couldn't get it to feel as smooth as H5 or any MCC game. I'll try some of these settings and see if they help get that smoothness I'm looking for
How did he know to throw the nade at 0:48? Like 200ms before his teammate was right behind him, and no one said anything about this enemy. ...has anyone ever seen @LucidTWW and Ms. Cleo in the same room?
You know, this feels better than what i was using before, but controller aiming still feels awful in this game compared to MCC halos. I can slay it with controller on those games. But controller feels like such a handicap in Infinite.
it is a huge hanicap. needs significantly more aim assist from further away. Using the bandit or turrets is S U C H a disadvantage compared to mnk. i usually switch to mnk depending on what i pick up
What controller do you use? Or anyone in the comments what controller do you find is most comfortable for shooters? I’ve been using ps4 and 5 forever because I’ve never had Xbox. Always a PlayStation fan but curious if the Xbox controller is more comfortable and better for aiming
Xbox controllers are generally considered more ergonomic for shooters, but be warned the buttons and thumbsticks can be loud if that sort of thing matters to you
I've tried a ton - Elites, Razers, Scufs, eSwaps, Fusion. They're all perfectly fine and capable, as long as you have at least 4 back paddles IMO. The Scuf Instinct is the overall best feeling and highest quality, though it's paddles can take a bit to get used to. It has awesome triggers. The eSwap has the best sticks for sure, usually providing zero drift with both sticks. It's also modular so you can replace things when/if they go bad. The Scuf is very expensive, too expensive for me to loudly recommend it. The eSwap is pricey, but I believe it's worth it considering it's stick and ability to easily fix issues. The Razer Wolverine line is awesome because they provide an extra two buttons on top, plus the 4 back paddles. You'll never have to take your fingers off the sticks, which is obviously great for shooters. If you want something without spending a ton - something from the Wolverine line. If you want something with amazing sticks, but not the best build quality - grab an eSwap. If you want something that feels high quality and has mouse-like triggers - try the Scuf Instinct.
Late response, I don't have a ton of experience with different brands, but I started using pro controllers on season 4 of fortnite and I started with the original Elite controller, and that lasted me a good while. Then I got a scuf to try it out and I hated it. Just felt way cheap compared to the Elite so I gave it to my buddy and then tried the Elite Series 2 and after that tried Scuf Instinct which I currently have. I believe baseline with no customization that Scuf is a bit cheaper, but scuf can easily get upwards of $220+ if you want to personalize your controller, the Elite 2 i think starts at loke $180, but theyve recently released "Core" versions of the Elite 2 that are gutted with less features thay start at like $120, not sure if you can build them up but they do have cheaper options, anyway of all the controllers I've tried, All in all I prefer the Elite Series 2, it just feels amazing. Everything that is normally plastic on an xbox controller Is metal on the Elite 2, so the thumbstick uh...gyros? balls? Lol are magnetic metal that you can just lift the thumbsticks off of an interchange with various different types of thumbstick, and the magnets are pretty strong and dont really wear out so you don't have to worry about them just falling off. the bumpers and triggers are metal and overall the controller is just heavy(but feels good) it's like Thor's Hammer lol. The Elite 2 is extremely customizable and able to be extremely fine tuned in terms of button remapping and stuff. I belive the scuf can only map face buttons to paddles, but the Elite 2 you can easily remap and change any button to do anything you want(theres an App on xbox called Xbox Accessories and you do it there) so on top of being able to map any button to any of the 4 paddles you want, you can also change any of the face buttons(ABXY/DPAD/ETC) to do what you want. If you want B to be jump instead of A you can do that, if you want weapon swap to be X instead of Y you van do that. But I will say this, for how well built the Elite 2 feels and seems I have never had so many issues with a controller. My Elite 1 lasted a good while and I don't think I ever had any button issues with it, but the Elite 1 had grips under each handle on the controller and it ended up peeling off from sweat and heat and basically ruined the controller, the elite 2 has rubber grips fully wrapped around both handles and ive never had an issue on the elite 2 with the grips, but I think I went through 2 or 3 Elite 2s before I got the scuf instinct, idk what the deal is with the Elite 2s but the Bumpers(and the buttons inside the slots where you attach the paddles) are extremely poor quality. Every Elite 2 I've gotten has had one of the bumpers go out within months and the last one I had the paddles started being inconsistent and stiff as well, for how much they cost this should never be an issue. Now onto Scuf, I forget what the controller was called but it was the only controller scuf had for Xbox before they released Instinct, and after having an Elite 1 for so long the Scuf just felt like a plastic toy. I couldn't handle it. Especially because it just doesn't have the fine tune-ability that the Elite series has. So I gave it to a friend. My next scuf was the Instinct that I currently still have, now granted I don't play as hard with the instinct as I ever did with the Elites, so I can't necessarily attest to it build quality, but its just a run of the mill scuf, except the triggers are digital touch or whatever its called(basically it has normal trigger function but just like the Elite controllers trigger locks there's a switch you flip for each trigger and it turns each trigger into basically a Mouse click, personally I don't like it but to each their own) I also dislike the Paddles on the Instinct. On the Elite controller they're elongated metal sticks you can attach or detach at will and there's 4 of them, on the Instinct there IS 4 paddles but they're just 2 small buttons on the back, each button is kinda like a Bracket shape and has 2 sides, each side being a separate input. It's just awkward. I hate it. So all in all, if you want something S tier but will probably crap out on you after 6 months or so, go Elite 2. If you want less quality feel and awkwardness but what seems to last longer go with Instinct. It's probably only B+ tier in terms of performance for me. Oh also I should say that while it seems rare, Scuf has always had a reputation of Shipping busted controllers that end up needing to be shipped back and fixed/replaced. Not sure how their customer service is or if you have to foot the bill for it all, luckily both scufs I've gotten were fine, but it may not be worth the risk personally for you. Maybe I left something out but I've been typing this out for 20 minutes and I have stuff to do lol EDIT: I am actually gonna add that the Elite 2 comes with a little key thing, and when you take the thumbsticks off there's a little notch on the top of each thumbstick gyro, and you use the key to turn it left or right and there's 3 levels, Far left makes the thumbsticks move around extremely loose and floaty, far right tightens them up. I personally use extremely loose for the movement stick and extremely tight for the aim stick. Also there's alot of factors that go into this decision and im just gonna let you know you're probably going to have to trial and error a couple different controllers to find what you like, everyone is different and has different hands/brain weirdness lol. I think the Elite 2 feels amazing but you might hate it, I think the scuf feels bad but you might like it. I've never considered other controller brands that others have mentioned to you like razer or whatever because I hate the way they look and think I wouldn't like the way they feel. Food for thought. All in all I'll likely be ordering another Elite 2 this week when I get paid.
