@@TheTonybenavides Hardly. He completely respected the ability of a setup that literally cost 1% of what he uses professionally.
He: "DJI Mavic Pro is cheap"
My wallet: "I'm offended"
Given the amount of tech you get in the Mavic package, it actually is cheap. You are getting a pretty decent miniature camera with good enough professional controls in a very decent gimbal/stabilizer system, attached to a nice computerized quad-drone with helpful automation features for single-person-operation. Also a good remote controller and a nice software package.
I can still remember when I first saw footage of the Phantom 4 (version 1, not pro) on TH-cam a couple years back, I was thinking to myself "I really hope this is less than 3000 bucks so I can immediately get it". But I thought it was wishful thinking and it was probably more expensive. Then I went to the website and found out it was like 1500 with a ready-to-fly package including three batteries. I had to double check because this was so much less than I had expected.

$1.5k vs $100k and most people can't tell the difference in footage. Best example of the law of diminishing returns. I'm fine with my M2P.
You could buy an fpv drone for a few hundred, slap a go pro on it and you get the same thing as a mav, except you have more freedom in the air.
N u t GOPRO is not at all as good in the air. I had the actual GOPRO drone and it looked and felt like a toy compared to mavic pro. Gopro are amazing up close but at a distance the image falls apart.
Trent said it right! I have shot stuff with an $80k camera for a television show, and stuff with a 2000 drone, handheld by the landing gear, before hand gimbals, and it comes down to three things, imho, vision, technique and lighting. So much van be done in post with today’s t3ch. H3ck there are a few movies that were shot entirely on an iPhone, set up properly of course, beast cage etc. then you have the Blair Witch project. Bottom line, the tools need to be used to make money. A red camera sitting in the garage doin* nothing, waiting for the once in a while tv spot or movie bit, or the Mavic Pro shooting weddings 3very weekend. It then comes down to red and black ink in the ledger!

Trent, in case you didn’t know. You can always bind a secondary remote control to the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and let someone else handle the gimbal and recording features while you focus on just flying the drone.
I was going to inform him of this... probably still will. Also... "pro" doesn't mean Hollywood. I make great money with my M2P, and I think that technically makes me a pro.

When applying 'Pro' to cameras, it's clear that 'Pro' has morphed into 'Prosumer' not necessarily 'Professional. Which, in relation to the Mavic 2 Pro, merely means it's in the top bracket of consumer drones. In this regard, I think the Mavic 2 Pro is probably accurately named.

This comparison is essentially between a RED camera and a consumer camera. It's a no brainer really but as far as the drones are concerned I'm for the dji, what value !
I think that he is afraid of all DJI pilots that will take his work....I don’t blame him. He has invested a lot of money, time, effort and now the DJI smashes the gaps. This is revolution. Remember when the first computer was an entire room? Now we have iPads and laptops.
I think you are completely wrong. For anyone that thinks that you could do even a fraction of the quality or have even half the capabilities with a Mavic vs the professional octocopters?....... has never watched a professional rig do its thing. I worked on Venom and there is no way on God's green earth that the little drone could of had a snowball chance in hell of doing what the professional drone could in downtown ATL. Just that base platform is min 30k. Flight time, speed, range, optional freq bands with various flight methods. It really isn't even a comparison. That larger drone outperforms in every single area it could other than size for cramp quarters. As well, commercial drone tech is advancing at no less of the pace than off the shelf, best buy units. I'm in picture cars, and I love hanging around and watching these guys do their thing. There just isn't a comparison.

John Trussell Foreal, he’s used to his red of course he’s gonna be on the red side lol
You aren't wrong. Problem with the term Pro is the lines have absolutely blurred across all forms of creativity because of technological innovations. People make meaningful content on iPhones. Tai Lopez made 50 million using a camera phone up right...So what is pro? I think the features for the price of the drone is pretty impressive considering with color grading he got the shots to look pretty similar. However he was able to get better pan shots and rotational edits because he could shoot in 8k.

@@ReadySetGoPictures That was too much for John
@@12Burton24 My bad
Considering the cost difference, the Mavic held its own pretty well. Maybe the Inspire 2 setup may have been a more "fair" comparison? The color and contrast on the big rig setup is amazing though.
I agree, it's true that there's a huge advantage in splitting the camera from the flying, but the Mavic didn't do too bad. Also, he could've gotten closer with the Mavic on the footage...
I love my mavic and would never spend the kind of money to get a true professional setup but just as you say the mavic held it's own, the only reason that is true is because of the nature of such a basic shoot. If the video was done as part of a professional movie type I doubt it would be able to truly hold its own. I think the real reason it wouldn't hold its own is because of the post processing ability that you can get from having the ultra high dollar cameras attached to the pro rig. Cinematography wise Trent even said that there are others who could fly the Mavic better, which would clean up a lot of his shots.
End of the day I'm sticking with my slightly over $1300 all told setup and saving the extra $99,000 for something like a house.
In the Mavic you can use a secondary remote as slave so one Pilot control the aircraft and the other one do the camera shoots.

I might have missed it, but I don't think you acknowledged that the Mavic Pro range can be operated by dual operators with separate gimbal and a/c control via a slave controller. Also, yes you can turn of GPS mode in Mavic and use ATI mode.
Yup, and some gimbal smoothness can be configured so camera movement is not so harsh as he complains. Bottom line, he is aware that 'he is not the best Mavic pilot' but actually he is not aware how huge that gap in his knowledge really is. GPS, second operator, modes and settings for smooth camera movements,...
Exactly!
Oh shit.
Yul Hubbart Uh, he mentioned the price of the big one a couple times. In fact he complimented the Mavic several times on being an awesome drone for what it's made for. Even said they've used it for certain tight shots the more expensive one couldn't get because of its size. He's doing a comparison for people that don't know much about multirotors, not trying to show one is better.
You can only use one controller at a time. As soon as any control on the master is touched, the slave cannot be used. This was the same as dual controllers on the original mavic pro.

You can compare a $100,000 speedboat to a $4 billion dollar aircraft carrier if you want. What's more, if the criteria being tested is speed, the speedboat will probably win the comparison. Some comparisons will be _unfair_ because the result is a foregone conclusion (for example, the speedboat is not that likely to win if you evaluate its compliment of aircraft) but that doesn't mean it can't be compared.

@@mbrn-wm The sound makes it better
Yeah, it really did feel immersive. Don't care what haters say here. Still nice video.
I agree it is hard to be aware of the drone and the surrounding location at the same time.
The Mavic line is relatively common around here among professional camera teams who shoot for tv and/or industrial film. It's nice to have it in your bag and be able to get a few additional aerial shots just like that. It does increase the perceived production value of your tv piece or docu piece or whatever without adding extra cost. It's so small you can pack it in a bag and always have it in your car, ready to fly in 2 minutes.
Funny enough the main reason I got my first Phantom a few years back was that I had time and time again spent an hour or two searching for a spot on a hill to get a long shot of some village or town, often with no good results. With a little drone, you can get that long shot from the air in 5 minutes, even with some nice tracking movement.
So, the little Mavic does add perceived quality to my work and that of others in my situation. And for us it's either get those shots with a Mavic, or don't get them at all. There is no way I could lug an Alta with a Red to most of my shoots and also get an additional cameraman or drone pilot to operate it.
I think that's the point of the video though, I think he understands that and is trying to make a case for why you should hire him instead because he's worried; and also needs to convince his wife, that the remortgage on his house he took out to pay for the drone and camera will be worth it.
I think he's worried because mid-tier budget productions are starting to question why they need to pay for 2 guys to fly a drone plus camera hire when they can get similar aeriel shots from 1 guy and at a lower rate with a DJI or similar prosumer drone.

@@YoungBlaze agreed. plus the footage looks nearly the same when watching on youtube anyways. compression is a bitch. The mavic can fly 44.7mph, so they obviously werent driving the truck at 40mph and not being able to keep up.
Shoot Luck Gaming he’s really not comparing a pro drone to a “pro drone” but rather comparing the cameras on them for one particular purpose. Its a very niche video. Im a professional drone pilot as well but i do site acquisition and analysis, search and rescue, and agricultural surveying all in one. For my purposes I use an inspire 2, an air 2, and a phantom 4 rtk with multiple payload options for site analysis they work due to the ease of the ease of flight and driving between nearby sites so it has to be quick and mobile. Search and rescue is ideal with the air 2 because of the flight time and ability to whip around really quick but I rarely have jobs like that so roi also factors in. A more appropriate title would be “comparing a hollywood cinematography drone to a general purpose professional drone for Hollywood cinematography”
"Professional" only means you get compensated for what you do.
A paper bag carrying Tupperware for someone who sells Tupperware is "pro gear".
High End, thats subjective. Different people expect different things from what they use.
Casey Neistat made a very good living as one of the most successful independent filmmakers today. He used these 1 to $2k drones endlessly.
That Mavic Pro could easily have a $20k price on it, and it would sell. Not to the average consumer, but to highly paid professionals like yourself. That footage you needed on the balcony was done on that drone. If it couldn't create usable footage to sell and make a profit for you, you wouldn't use it. It wouldn't be a professional piece of gear. But it does and it did. And You would profit having spent 20k to have it around for such events.

Now let’s talk real world. The Mavic Pro 2 was able to hold its own pretty darn well considering it’s about $98k less than the cinema rig. This takes the law of diminishing returns to a new level I would say. Great video to show examples of just how close or not a consumer drone compares to a high end product, since not many people out there have a setup like yours to do this kind of test. Actually I think those people who do have a cinema setup comparable to yours don’t even bother to spend the time or risk of using their equipment to make this type of comparison video. So kudos to you for doing this for the rest of us mere mortals out there.
Dude you have more subs then most ya will ever have! Get a profile pic
The law of diminishing returns is very much in effect everywhere in the broadcast and cinema world... did you know that one of the huge, grey boxed 100x zoom lenses that you see in major league sports stadiums costs half a million dollars each? A tripod and fluid head for one of these lenses is like 25k. But apparently, tight close-ups of players in the game sell so much beer and chips that it's worth having up to twenty of those things at every game.
However, you would see a night and day difference if we were watching the comparison between the Mavic and the Red on a huge movie theater screen with a professional 4k projector. Especially if somebody did some more extensive grading on the footage, like they usually do in big movies.
I do like the Mavic though. It really delivers pretty darn good quality for a very competitive price.

He didn't "discredit" the Mavic. He was just pointing out why exactly he is using a 100k setup in his daily work.

Honestly, i didn't found the video quality all that different 😅 Could be me but i think most people would'nt notice if you used the mavic for some cinematic shots in a short film for example, compared to the big guy
Wow, I could tell for sure. Just the front area was way smoother and the whole shot is better.
I'd say the use of the word 'Pro' in a product name simply implies it has some enhanced features over a more basic model. It's also just a buzzword that manufacturers know people will gravitate too so they can sell more product.
Well the one thing I think about when I hear pro is pricey. Might just be me but pro tends to be a turn off for me.
Spoken like a Pro!
I think someones butt hurt that Dji owners are producing footage thats easily matched to his hundred grand prosumer drone.
he literally says he uses it on sets instead of his 100k setup so...i dont really think thats the case there bub
but can it really be pro if it didn't cost xxx!?!?! lolz but hearing him complain about "I can't just fly the air craft and I can't just operate camera so it's just too much" oh poor maybe can't multi task... It leads me to believe he has much less talent than a lot of the TH-cam pilots on here.
The world may only need a few hundred supercomputers, but everyone will have a SMART PHONE.
To be honest what I notice is that you did more cinematic moves and closeups with your experience Hollywood setup. And you follow the truck at a far vertical distance with not swing movements. The quality in the air as far as video goes I see no life changing difference between either the red or the movie. Video quality would make more of a difference on the ground, where you would use DOF and see the true dynamic range of the camera you choose. On the ground I use GH5 and in the air I use both Phantom 4 and Mavic 2 pro.... We have to remember it’s about story not expensive equipment. And no shade, but working in Hollywood for 9 years is kool but so is being independent and following your dreams through with ever equipment you choose.
I was thinking exactly the same. Video quality under these circumstances seemed comparable...he didn't even try to get comparable shots between the two setups.
@@christianostmo "to be honest what I notice is that you did more cinematic moves and closeups with your experience Hollywood setup. And you follow the truck at a far vertical distance with not swing movements."
Well exactly. Have you tried doing these moves and close-ups from a car at 40 mph with a Mavic or Phantom? It's fucking impossible. The lens is a super wide angle, he was probably flying the Mavic at the exact same distance to the car than his Alta 8 setup.
Also getting the perfectly smooth swing-around shots of a fast moving object with perfect framing is impossible with the Mavic. You could try and use object tracking or any of the other computerized helpers with the Mavic, they might get you a little closer to it, but you are never going to be as versatile and quick to react as with a 2-person setup and a 360° gimbal and a zoom lens.
@@christianostmo Video quality of the Mavic is pretty good and looks nice on TH-cam. If we were watching this in 4K on a big ass movie theater screen, you'd see the difference like night and day.
I was hoping I wasn’t the only one that’d notice this. Had he actual tried to use the Mavic’s movements and fly closer he’d be able to get a comparable result.
“Im a real professional” Hits insanely expensive drone on a SUV
$1,600 drone vs $16,000 drone. Of course it's better, but is it 10x better?
Since you comparing with professional, should you at least use Inspire 2?
scince well put
I'm thinking he just wants to show off his expensive media drone.
He has got an Inspire 2, uses it when there is not enough space to operate the Alta safely. The thing in this video is the term 'pro' that DJI uses incorrectly with the Mavic. The Inspire does not claim to be 'pro' in the name.
But the Inspire 2 needs to have the word "PRO" attached.
Or the DJI Matrice? It's a hexcopter I think, and is used on film sets...
That's an amazing gimbal to take a truck hit and come back to level like nothing happened!
I don't think the gimbal took a hit. He only touched the car with one of the landing gear feet
As a film and media student its very cool to see the difference between the tiers but my biggest complaint is the "let's compare these side by side" and then uses very different shots for the comparison. All the shots on the cheeper drone were filmed from way farther away and were filmed in a much more static nature. Not really a side by side comparison.
The M2P looks really frikkin good in comparison
"I've have years of experience" flies into his truck.
trust me im a pro!
"That was meant to happen, bro... I crashed professionally." :D
I am reminded of a Jared Polin quote.
The quote sounded something like,
"Someone's gonna say, "Wow you must be rich to have been able to afford all those cameras and gear". I wasn't. I was a working professional who made money using my gear and always updated my gear as soon as a better model came out."
It's not too expensive if you can turn a profit using it. And that's what professional videographers do, run a business and earn a profit.
07:50 love the transition in exposure you have done in post processing of this video to explain what you are saying. excellent man!
I think the mavic "pro" is called that because it's the closest a consumer with little knowledge of flying can get to a professional shot. Basically my 9 year old daughter could fly a mavic and get a beautiful shot. Your Alta on the other hand requires a wealth of knowledge and experience to get a good shot.
Wtf, we are not gonna make a fucking scifi movie just because we buy an expensive drone🤯😂
Once you get past his annoyance at the use of the word 'Pro' on the Mavic, it's quite an interesting video.
Lets play a drinking game *
Take a shot every time he says - Flexibility -
Nick Scruggs OH That’s why he crashed into the truck
Shotgun a beer when he says skill set
Trent: you cant watch the feed and pilot the drone at the same time
FPV pilots: Am i a joke to you
He means when the camera is pointing somewhere else to get a better angle
Your color grading is very good. I wish you had a video tutorial on that.
I think "Pro" is more about "Prosumer" for the DJI Mavic series, not Professional Cinema or Commercial.
I think you're right. The Mavic does have some features that make it useable in a professional setting to some extent. It does have manual camera controls, zebras and a histogram for example. Pure consumer products are often simplified so much that professional use is more or less out of the question.
Thanks for recording black equipment in the dark, really helps us to see what we're looking at
It's all about what you need the drone for. "Professional" just means you do it for money. I got a kick out if this because I've been in a drone industry for a long time, but in the military environment. When all the kids started playing with drones in the film industry, I use to joke about how they are just toys. If you ever want to talk about "real drones" give me a shout.
Ok, im giving you a bit of a hard time but you get my point. It's all perspective. Good video though, especially for the non initiated to get a peak behind the curtain.
Yeah, the military stuff makes even our larger industrial setup look like child’s play
You want to talk about real planes give me a shout in the fighter jet department 😂
@@cadenorris4009 fair enough haha. I got hurt (hip and back) early on in my career and was allowed to stay in a bag by "volunteering" to move to drones. My brother is an eagle driver and makes sure I get a healthy reminder of my status whenever possible lol. I will say the civilian job market (and pay) has helped though 😁
Next level shit doesn't even describe those bad boys!
Next week Kitfox vs A380! Ok I'm kidding but these drones are in different markets. Your big rig is the full movie industry set up and makes most people drool. The Mavic is a flying Go Pro. Oops "pro" again 😀
Good luck with Kitfox parts..can't wait to see you in the air again!
When you were like "It's just too much..." I felt that lol. The other day I tried to get a top down shot from just above the trees of me riding my OneWheel with my dog and all I had to do was match speed and direction and it was incredibly difficult. I had to balance on the OneWheel, match speed of me physically with my dog, carve a little so it's not just me riding in a straight line, and match speed of my drone with us lmao. Wanna know the best part? I actually got the shot perfect and realized I didn't hit record... Took me another full battery to finally get it again lol. Thanks for this video man! Really cool to see the comparison!
Top down tracking is super tough, add riding a onewheel and you are basically doing a circus act! I’m impressed you got it done!
Trent Palmer it wasn’t easy lol but I’m happy I got it done as well! And I appreciate you taking the time to make this video! Really cool to see a high end cinema drone in action.
TL;DW: 100k 2 Man Setup > 1.6k Drone
No shit... you're saying of someone offered you 100k and 1.6k $$, you would actually take the 100k?! Holy shit...
I do believe that the term “PRO” is relative to the situation. So a Formula 1 driver is just as professional say as a NASCAR or LeMans racer. They’re all pros but with respect to their field. Now that being said, the DJI Mavic’s are definitely professional products imo, just to a different standard.
Exactly
Amen!
I like Trent. Just seems like an all-around cool, down to earth, honest guy.
so ,,, you crashed your own drone into your own truck ,,, and your the pro ,,,
wouldnt want to fill in the insurance claim form lol
great video though
He was getting a bit cocky that’s why.
@@easedrones9792 he forgot his beard
@@easedrones9792 the whole video came off as that way haha
Yes, the Mavic did not do a great job. But then again, you had no idea what you were doing. Using the DJI follow mode on the truck would have blown away your shot with the big dumb dinosaur drone.
You are incredibly limited with the size of the dinosaur and with the new chipsets you have very little advantage in picture quality. The dinosaur is incredibly dangerous and the fact that you claim to rarely use GPS tells the world that you don't fly in tight spaces with any wind, but then again, an 8 prop liability maker like that thing is so incredibly limited that no one would even consider using it for anything other than a city skyline or yet another chase shot.
I operated the first Jib in Atlanta during the 80s. Not many people are more skilled at hand-eye coordination, but I would never try to wrestle a move out of any kind of drone. I program the shots, including aperture. Waypoints with changing points of interests if I need an incredibly complex shot, but most shots are just a dolly, or a crane shot, both programmable on a DJI, but not on the dinosaur. (I use third party software) And the aperture changes are smooth.
The DJI Drones have thousands of uses that a large, 8 prop monster does not. They carry rather advanced cameras engineered for their use, not adapted by a series of 1980s robotics. I can set up waypoints that dictate speed, heading, camera tilt, aperture, point of view and preset framing. And I can set up 100 of these incredibly precise waypoints for a single series of moves and it will follow the same moves every take. Can you, and can you and the shooter even begin to match the precision or the smoothness?
And if I am in Nowheresville, USA and I lose a drone, I can fix it with a trip to the local Best Buy and a credit card.
You are comparing apples and oranges. They aren't the same and they aren't used for the same things. I shot my first aerials in 1980 for the NBC Nightly News with John Chancellor. I was shooting with an Ikagami 79, Angénieux glass, all on an ancient Tyler mount. That certainly wouldn't compare to your dinosaur. But does that mean that it wasn't professional gear?
You stated that the DJI gear has a place. I would offer that the Dinosaur has a place. I will use a DJI tomorrow. There's not a single shot that I would prefer the big guy. I will be tracking two people in a park and in the final cut, there may be one shot that looks like it was shot with a drone. The others will be beautiful dolly shots, tracking shots, steadycam shots and crane shots, all preprogrammed and shot with a $1500 Best Buy Special.
You are a gear geek. Stop looking down your nose at what others are using and start looking at the results.
FlyingCameradotnet now i feel calm and relax 😜✌🏻👍🏼
That post was awesome and very well thought out. Your experience clearly shows.
wow you got a lot of hate on here. people suck, many of us appreciate hearing your opinion and learning something new! thanks man! I love my mavic pro 2. But it's also the only drone I've ever used. I use it to make videos as a professional and get a ton of compliments on the quality!
How does something like this, your Toyota Yaris, compare to something like this, my Ferrari 812 Superfast
"Is not the quality of the 'Brush' what count, is the talent of the painter..." What is the difference in price between that huge two person rig and the price of the DJI? Rest my case.
Well, obviously his customers are paying him a lot of money to fly that huge two-person rig. That's what counts in the end, doesn't it?
And the whole thing with the "it's the talent that counts", yes, true. But a talented person can still create even better stuff with better tools than he could with worse tools. The better tools won't make you more talented, but they are still better tools. Not saying that the Mavic is bad though. It's good for what it is. It just isn't the tools that he or his clients need.
For the price, portability, and versatility of the mavic, it literally blows the other drone out of the water (or out of the sky). Not to mention that the best drone is the one you use the most.
Realy cool what you can do with a Cinema drone but the real drones are the 5inch racers
All it takes to be a professional is to find someone foolish enough to pay you.
Just from the shots themselves I believe you were being a little bias towards your professional set up (more dramatic, mobile shots) which could also been done by the DJI Pro... it should have been the same shots to truly be a fair comparison
i noticed that as well. The Mavic shots are all so far away.
Adjust gimbal setting to smooth out your camera on the mavic.
It would have been more informative if you used the DJI Inspire 2 for the comparison. It has both dual camera operator capability and interchangeable lenses. Would like to see that comparison in the future.
Thanks
I'm having flashbacks of grade school when the rich kid would flex on me with his 30 dollar lunch box
This is not his personal hobby drone, he earns a living with those tools. And he ended up in a situation where he can best earn that living by flying the best possible drone with awesome cinema cameras. Because that's what his clients are paying for.
Nobody ever bats an eyelash when an industrial workshop uses machines worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. Or a construction company using cranes and stuff worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. It's just stuff that earns people money.
Professional Cinema Drone (i.e. production) = crutch for bad writing. Write great stuff and you can strap your phone to a paper dart.
Yes.....Brilliant/Very good creative writing/designing is where the snap, crackle, pop is......the "equipment" are the tools to carry out the creation. Like a piano or synth or ?? are the tools to carry out the composers work. I've seen great iPhone videos that hold the audience & Red shot videos that are *$(^* ......probably you & everyone have watched the same......
why don't you take more similar shots with the mavic?
Trent coming from a professional wedding photography background for 10 years now, I can understand your thoughts and opinions. I am just now getting into drone photography. I have been waiting for the superb drone that is perfect for consumer based people like me. I am saving up for the Mavic 2 PRO-sumer drone. Even $1500 is hard to justify spending when we are not making commercials. We all can appreciate that you even compare the Mavic 2 pro to your 100K dream machine. There is no comparison obviously but for us small business people, the Mavic Pro 2 is perfect. Thank you for your feedback. I will check out more of your skills. I hope you follow the people that support you. Jason Rob Tivey Photography aka Traveling_tiv
I liked the part where you showed what a dial change in color and light meant vs a click change. Pretty cool!
Love your videos, but want to point out that you CAN operate the Mavic with two people; one on flying and the other on settings/tilt. Of course there is no pan unless the main pilot allows that to happen. It is called the secondary remote feature and was added about a year ago, I believe. Not near the level of real professional equipment for sure, no argument there! My wife and I have actually worked it out where she can pan by operating the rotaion axis but it took a while to get there, lol.......AND we managed to miss the top of the Suburban :)
That is the mavic 1 only . The Mav 2 doesn't support dual remotes yet
Totally forgot about that! I have to chase race cars at the track I work at, and I will agree with Trent that it does get "busy" flying and shooting. Might have to get another controller since they are probably cheaper now that the 2 has come out.
@@youmakeitreal he should still try dual op with a mavic 1.
The Mavic 2 has an undocumented feature that uses the touchpad to pan and tilt. Using a 10' usb cable connecting the controller with the ipad, one person can control the camera and another can control the flight.
@@prowlus Now it does.
Trent, the thing I like about you is you are so articulate and clear in your videos. Think about being a lawyer in your next incarnation.
well, what a surprise knowing that you get what you pay for when choosing a 200k setup over a 1k prosumer drone. I don't mean to be a dousche, but this is a really unfair comparison - like you'd compare an AUDI R18 to a JETTA on the Le Mans circuit. and BTW, the Mavic 2 Pro is capable of 2 man operation when coupling 2 controllers into a master & slave config ;)
Listen, firstly don't be a douche... watch the video. He says he is comparing the two because one is an actual pro drone while the other is given the "pro" name at the end of it. If DJI calls it's products professional why shouldn't they be tested against PROfessional drone?
I believe you missed the entire point of this video. This comparison was about differences and it could have been far more different than this. I saw a $20 quadcopter at the grocery store today...
@@geraldhenrickson7472 I think PRO stands by if you can make money out of it, and yeah, you can do with MAVIC 2, and doing a lot. You dont hire this kind of professional with 200K equipment to shoot your wedding or corporate clip, its pointless. But you can use mavic like a charm.
Easy answer, because JETTA owners think they have an AUDI R18 until they face reality and it's compared with an actual AUDI R18.
@Henry K. Hill if they are exactly the same than there's no need comparing ;) otherwise please refer to my above example - how much sense would a comparison between an every day car vs a spec built race car make? of course they are both cars, but what they can do / are capable of are vastly different. let's compare them, sure, but don't expect a JETTA to win against an R18.
Well since your 915is is grounded ; can you film yourself flying the drone inside a flying cowboys planes ? And good job on this video .
Flying a uas from an aircraft isnt compliant with the part 107 regs
Iggy Moyano Jr fsdo would be all up his asterisk
Since my last note, my nephew in New Brunswick, Canada, has purchased a drone which does great video. He sent me one flying over my growing-up home area which was really good. I sent him this link to show him what you have for your professional work. Thanks.
Whip out the ole single rotor! Do it like the old Runryder days. It’d be fun to compare some of the old footage from back in the 2000’s and how hard we used to work to achieve that perfect shot.
