    Our mind is Love. It may seem paradoxical. Our mind has qualities of desire and fear. Expansion and contraction. It longs for and shields itself from experience. But if we ask, what does the mind long for? What does the mind believe is missing when it shields itself?
    The answer to both is Love. The mind longs for Love, to rest in the source of which it came. Our minds long for our Creator, Sustainer and Cherisher.
    How could we show anything but love to the one that longs for the Beloved?
    The mind is much like a child, in that it does not know where it should go. It must be guided to its source, where it reunites with the Beloved, with awareness, with pure knowing, in which it finds the peace it has searched for for so long. And it often leaves this place, and must be guided with love, back again to its source. With time, our mind will learn, just as a child does, and rest here, making this place it’s home in peace, it’s longing returning it to the Creator from which it arose.
    Love the mind, for it loves the Beloved. Love the mind, for it loves peace and joy. Love the mind, for it simply needs our guidance to rest. Love the mind, for it is part of the dance of Creation.
    This is what Jesus meant when he referred to all the child of God as sheep, who come to the shepherd for rest. The shepherd does not condemn the sheep, but lovingly, wisely guides them to where they may find nourishment and fulfillment. See your mind as simply that - one in need of gentle guidance to return to the place which it so longs.

    According to Avatar Meher Baba , We are all God now and forevermore but the goal is to realize this eternal Truth. It's a game of hide and seek that God is playing with Himself. The following 2 are brief passages that explains it so eloquently, so Masterfully:
    The Lover and The Beloved
    “God is love. And love must love.
    And to love there must be a Beloved.
    But since God is Existence infinite and eternal
    there is no one for Him to love but Himself.
    And in order to love Himself, He must imagine Himself
    as the Beloved whom He as the lover imagines He loves.
    Beloved and lover implies separation.
    And separation creates longing;
    and longing causes search.
    And the wider and more intense the search,
    the greater the separation
    and the more terrible the longing.
    When longing is at its most intense point,
    separation is complete,
    and the purpose of separation,
    which was that love might experience itself
    as lover and Beloved, is fulfilled; and union follows.
    And when union is attained, the lover knows that
    he himself was all along the Beloved, whom he loved
    and desired union with;
    and that all the impossible situations that he overcame
    were obstacles which he himself had placed in the path
    to himself.
    To attain union is so impossibly difficult
    because it is impossible to become
    what you already are!
    Union is nothing other than knowledge
    of oneself as the Only One”
    ~
    -“Mind wants to know that which is beyond mind. To know that
    which is beyond mind, mind must go-vanish, leaving no vestige
    of itself behind. The humour of it is, the mind, which is finite,
    wants to retain itself and yet know Truth, which is infinite. This is
    the position of those who seek Truth through intellect. Few grasp
    this fact, and so most grope and grapple in vain”
    Meher Baba

      What a beautiful story you quoted from Meher Baba (Baba was Love embodied)! It's really very nice to leave comment this way.
      Alan Watts humourously used to tell this hide&seek story. Many must have heard it from Swami Sarvpriyananda also.
      In the later portion of your comment, there are profound words pointing to That.
      But, here, we are not still getting. Our mind still ask so what to do in order to realise This - The Only One.
      What needs to be done? What makes one Buddha? How to really know all this?
      Can you give some clear instruction for realising the words of Sages???

      Be Still and rest in the "I Am". All else will follow.
      Here's a wonderful meditation on the words of Nisargadatta Maharaj that has brought me to Oneness with the Beloved. I hope it helps you. You most certainly will find the source of all peace, joy and love during it. Rest in this stillness.
      Stay with this I Am afterwards and in the play of life, and you will deepen into a pure and infinite peace. This will be a dance. You will find it, knowing it was there all along, and then it will be veiled. Sink, more and more often, flow down and down into the I Am and it will become your home.

    The essential question is why is there something rather than nothing? Why does anything exist? The strange answer is that it doesn’t. Nothing really exists. The apparent existence of everything is really nothing in disguise. This is the holographic disguise of nothing appearing as something. This is the conclusion of the holographic principle that tells us the appearance of all things is really a holographic projection from a bounding surface of space, which acts as a holographic screen that encodes all bits of information for those things, to the central point of view of an observer, which observes the holographic appearance of those things.
    Everything really is all in the mind. The mind is a mental screen that is an observation-limiting bounding surface of space that acts as a holographic screen. Without a mind, there is only the formless, infinite oneness of nothingness, and yet this formless emptiness has the unlimited potential to holographically create a limited observable world of forms and perceive that world from the limited perspective of the central point of view of that world.

    Is there an example of a person who listens to Rupert and is enlightened or understood non-duality? I'm skeptical whether his process of enquiry really works.
    I mean, his experience is not fake but maybe the way he is teaching is not the best way to get others to get the same experience as him.

    • @yotamschmidt570
      @yotamschmidt570 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It would be futile to pretend words could embody behavioural example. Even if he did reach some sort of enlightenment regarding non-duality, he reached it by experience. He can only provide you with the measures he discerned and thought them to be beneficial, and so he presents them.
      I actually wasn't aware of this term but I somehow stumbled upon this his videos and now that the definition is clear, I can confirm that it can be reached outside of traditional teaching. Just by experiencing.
      Although something I would explain differently, it is only evidence for the many Janes that preceive Mary's process of collapsing onto form in different ways. Eventually, everything is legitimised by this belief.

      The process of inquiry works but you have to do it yourself. And you have to honestly want to find an answer. You have to be serious about it. Most people don’t want to sit around in a quiet place and ask themselves questions that they think they already know the answers to, that’s why most people aren’t enlightened. You’d be surprised at the truths you’d discover about your own nature that pop up after fifteen or twenty minutes of serious inquiry. It works, but you have to take it seriously.

    If one doesn't know the true nature of the source of perception, how can one know the true nature of what is being perceived?...
    More interestingly why is it that Perception is not the preferred methodology one uses to know Mind? You never attempt to "perceive your Mind".
    One uses *observation* (practicing awareness) instead, So it would therefore beg the question: Which is more fundamental...Observation or Perception?...I would think...Observation...naturally...

    • @yotamschmidt570
      @yotamschmidt570 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Observing, according to the principals nonduality, will be the phenomenom of awareness being aware of it self. Perceiving would be the personified nature of the observer. Their appearence is evidently codependant as the observer ought to perceive the reflected phenomenon in order to linger in this state of being. Which concludes in the fact that these ideas are only to be reflected and practiced parallel to the unattainable phenomenons. This is due to the seperated nature of all that is discerned, and gathering that an observer must preceed the preceiver is a process of identifying, even if it occurs by a more naturalistic, intrinsic and intuitive fashion.
