Hi, I have an identical spinet to the one to the right you are working on. Wurlitzer 441401. I'm in the process of restoring it a bit and the key cover has the wrong hinges and doesn't close right from an earlier repair. Please let me know if you still have that instrument and could measure the correct hinges, as the barrel is recessed in the board to close tightly.

How much does this procedure affect hammer travel? Do you have to go back and recheck and maybe adjust after this?

I can’t see what screw you’re turning. I can’t see it on my piano either
This is good.
So Flat head screw driver. The screw is behind the jack.
Move the jack aside and then loosen the screw. Then adjust your hammer then Re-tighten
The gap occurs where the strings transition between 1 and 2 per note..
