Pretty sure they had some intent to make it funny. The fun element is in the contrast as he explains they make "ordinary" stuff like tents, weapons, pouches... Oh and equine camouflage.
Absolutely no flash, no pizzazz, no yelling, no non-sensical advertising that doesn't actually showcase what you make, just a quick, "Hello, we make stuff, also for horse" Love it

(Anything bigger than small arms fire must have barrel deactivated still.) But when it comes to small arms, you have pretty wide selection to choose from. (Getting permits for historical collection is harder to get of course, but there are plenty of private collectors here.) Sport and hunting allows you to have only semi-auto, pump and bolt to my understanding.
I'm not in the military or law enforcement but I regularly do long distance hikes and this ad, which randomly popped up on my recommended, made me buy one of your rucksacks and oh boy, the quality really is something else!

During the Korean War, a US Marine bought a horse. It was a horse by the name of Reckless, which kept supplies under fire. Reckless supply operations in the mountainous Korean terrain were of great help to the Marines, and Reckless was awarded the rank of Sergeant for that service. In the description of the Marines, 'it was when the ammunition ran out after fighting all night. Looking at Reckless carrying ammunition through the morning fog, we were able to find hope.' A loyal animal will definitely come in handy on the battlefield.
Indeed. During the Winter War 72 000 horses served in the Finnish Army and in Continuation war that number was 62 000. Without those horses Finnish Army wouldn't have survived.
Reckless' full story is fantastic to read; I highly recommend it to anyone. One of those really rare 'animal in war' stories that doesn't make you want to hate every human involved.
There is a "Dark docs" about reckless the horse, it is super informative! I would recommend anyone go watch it for more details on that insane horse, if I'm not mistaken the highest ranked animal!
Saw a horse with a camo wet-weather cover on it (here in NZ) that someone had obviously just made out of a camo tarp, and got to thinking ... had I just witnessed a trial Secret Operation by the NZ Army experimenting with two-man infiltration units using a Horse Costume and obviously needing a wet-weather cover (the only material to hand being the Army camo tarp) ... which actually gave the game away by making the horse look 'military'. I'm guessing the Mk 2 Horse Costume Disguise will have a more civilianish looking wet-weather cover, and who knows, I've probably seen several and never realised it!

The horse looking straight at the camera, as if to emphasize the sincerity of these men, just nailed it for me. Took them absolutely seriously, the horse and the reactions from the guys sealed the deal. I'd buy from them in a heartbeat.
Just saying horses tend to see mainly at the sides of them, not directly in front of them as it is a blind spot. Just like with rabbits or any other animal with eyes on their sides and not in front. When the horse turns its head away from you and you can only see its side is when it is focusing on you. You see horses do this when the gallop as well. They'll turn their head to the side slightly to see better for a bit.
To the marketing team: 8 months later, I still have the savings pot for one of your rucksacks. It's taking some time, but I'm getting there. This video is what made me research your company, and decide to save up for a pack.
THIS is an ad i enjoy and would actually consider in my future military gear purchases. Funny, but not forced. Simple, honest and to the point. It does not try to give you an endorphin aneurism with shitty pop music or plastic perfect models. I loved this.
As a loyal customer of Finnish military/survival gear, Savotta is a great company. I made damn sure to get a Savotta rig for airsoft and a Savotta backpack for hiking after I finished the Finnish Defence Forces service.

In and before world war 1, as a civilian if you bought military gear its ammo pouch, haversack and very little equipment. Then Vietnam Era added more equipment, but you needed a catalog magazine to order it from. Now you have modern day gear of many types, armor, pouches, tools, MRE. Now is the time to buy.
The sound design had me **re**-watch the video. Seriously, it was perfectly done. No forgettable music or jingles that you'll soon forget what brand they stand for, no explosions or narrator voiceover, just a guy talking and a mic sensitive enough to pick up the horses' hooves.
Neither am i usually, but never underestimate the reliability per value of some ex military gear. Jackets, belts, tents. they have to be reliable and hardy and look presentable

We have in Finland at least 10 different accents . We have 3 sámi languages , we have 2 officials languages Finnish and Swedish and also Swedish language speaking have some own accents . Which of them you mean ? Tawastian, Karelian , Savonian , Meänkiel ( both sides of Swedish-Finnish boarder ) etc.
Other companies should take note of this style of advertisement. It's not loud or obnoxious or trying too hard to be special. It's saying what it is, without giving away too much information. I have no need for military gear, but I will definitely be considering purchasing a hoodie or something. Nice job Savotta!

Great ad. Noticed my sergeant had a really nice sling for his rifle, but he couldn’t remember where he bought it, only saying that it was from Finland. Was picking my brains trying to find it, when I saw this. Great timing to say the least.
I recently bought a few side pouches to install on a Komodo Dragon and well... if I had known the brand before I would have gotten the backpack from them aswell. Contrary to many other molle pouches, Savotta's were really easy to install. So easy in fact that when I was done I was almost disappointed that it was already done ! Their mesh bags are the sturdiest out there and their stuff bags will probably outlive me. That's a company I want to see expand !
Always a big fan and supporter of Savotta gear like pants, tents, bag and cooking utensils. Been using them for 6 years under pretty horrible conditions and abuse and it still holds.

That horse camo is totally sick. I live in the Yellowstone region. If WW3 comes calling on the Rockies, send some of that stuff our way. Actually, I might get a horse in a few years, so I might just order some between now and then. Edit: I also really like that tent system. I bought a hot tent this last year and have been interested in collecting other types of tents. And also, welcome to NATO once all the political stuff is finalized. I didn't realize until a few years ago that the Finns weren't in the alliance.
They make very good helmet counter-weights, their glow in the dark helm patches are also very useful. Looking for more IR signalling stuff though, hoping they produce some!

The camo caparison for a horse is actually not a bad idea, especially for white horses. Horses are getting back to military nowadays, for example soldiers on horses are guarding polish-belarusan border...

Horses really do have a lot of versatility for military use, even with modern military doctrines, especially in the Eurasian environment. We just haven't seen them as much recently because many major theaters of war following WW2 have been desert or jungle, neither of which makes horses the most practical choice considering alternatives.
@@corbinpearce7686 horses can be used anywhere, but in some places they're less effective. However you won't deploy tanks everywhere with even some efficiency. The only problem with hourses is that they're organisms. And so they are less...durable thank armored vechicles. Cheers

Excellent products from this company, none have failed me, i hear they fill them with Sisu before sending to the buyers, even the horse agrees 💪🏻
They also come packed in snow as the stuffing/filling to secure the content from getting damaged on delivery.

I am from Canada. I have never been to Finland. I have never served in the Military. I have absolutely no need for military gear.

Usually all ads suck. Not this one. Straight to the point, no bs. Beautiful colors, cinematography-wise. Oh, and the products are actually great and durable. Would recommend.

We have in Finland at least 10 different accents . We have 3 sámi languages , we have 2 officials languages Finnish and Swedish and also Swedish language speaking have some own accents . Which of them you mean ? Tawastian, Karelian , Savonian , Meänkiel ( both sides of Swedish-Finnish boarder ) etc.

Other companies should take note of this style of advertisement. It's not loud or obnoxious or trying too hard to be special. It's saying what it is, without giving away too much information. I have no need for military gear, but I will definitely be considering purchasing a hoodie or something. Nice job Savotta!

I love the ad. We make this, this and that. No bells no whistles, no corny jokes. Just straightforward and to the point. I'm going to have to order something for myself (for my next "vacation") and some custom rain and winter gear for my German Shepherds.

Everyone's talking about a horse and i'm confused. All I saw were two soldiers in the woods.
I recently bought a few side pouches to install on a Komodo Dragon and well... if I had known the brand before I would have gotten the backpack from them aswell.
Contrary to many other molle pouches, Savotta's were really easy to install.
So easy in fact that when I was done I was almost disappointed that it was already done !
Their mesh bags are the sturdiest out there and their stuff bags will probably outlive me.
That's a company I want to see expand !

Always a big fan and supporter of Savotta gear like pants, tents, bag and cooking utensils. Been using them for 6 years under pretty horrible conditions and abuse and it still holds.
This is how you make good advertising, no special effects or extreme graphics, just explaining what you do in a concise and simple way.

Edit: I also really like that tent system. I bought a hot tent this last year and have been interested in collecting other types of tents. And also, welcome to NATO once all the political stuff is finalized. I didn't realize until a few years ago that the Finns weren't in the alliance.

The camo caparison for a horse is actually not a bad idea, especially for white horses. Horses are getting back to military nowadays, for example soldiers on horses are guarding polish-belarusan border...

Horses really do have a lot of versatility for military use, even with modern military doctrines, especially in the Eurasian environment. We just haven't seen them as much recently because many major theaters of war following WW2 have been desert or jungle, neither of which makes horses the most practical choice considering alternatives.
@@corbinpearce7686 horses can be used anywhere, but in some places they're less effective. However you won't deploy tanks everywhere with even some efficiency. The only problem with hourses is that they're organisms. And so they are less...durable thank armored vechicles. Cheers

These guys make Grade "A" gear. Prior service Marine Recon. You wont regret using their kit.
