Hey all I just wanted to clarify a couple things. So the lens and tube need to protrude out of the front as far as can be while still being stable. I just set this thing up and it works fine if put together correctly. I was able to produce a 24" L screen with good quality

Thanks for the heads-up. I've seen a DIY version that seemed to be decent, but I'd be using it for a tracing tool for crafting. Doesn't seem like this would be wroth the cash.

also make sure the lens is facing the right way (its slightly dome shaped, curved side should face outward), i think the rubber gasket things are just to help hold the tube in place,arent really necessary. adjust by sliding the box in and out and moving the tube, closer to phone to get farther range, make sure brightness all the way up too
i did have really bright samsung display and it is still very dim, seems like with adjustment it can produce a clean image but very dim and cant get very big and you have to be in the dark. id say its ok as a novelty toy when its a few dollars or to trace something maybe

Puts the maximum brightness that works
When I got this for bristles it didn't really work. I have t a shot a month ago and it does work perfectly now. Just keep pushing the lens forward and back and slide the tube in and out too. After a while of trying I had a perfect projector. Didn't even need a fully dimmed room

Well, given that it costs around 20 bucks and it´s made out of cardboard, it´s unsurprising that it isn´t "amazing", but it´s freaking cool...

It's called ultimate rotation control on Android and for iPhone, it's called assistive touch in the accessibility settings

My home made mobile projector is also good and big screen and clear. I use high zoom lens. And adjust distance to lens to Mobile. And and large screen.
The app is: Ultimate Rotation Control... But I'm not having any luck with it. Mine is still projecting upsidedown.

I bought it for $18. It works pretty well, but still out of focus and not bright enough to see on the wall. I ain't gonna buy another DIY projector no more. I ain't gonna spend another dollar to return it. What am I gonna do with the magnify len? I'll use it for scientific experiment like lighting BBQ from the sun. Lol

So you spent $30 on a cardboard box with a magnifying glass glued to it that actually works worse than doing this yourself for $5 after watching TH-cam tutorials. Thanks for letting people know so they don't get suckered into this product.
